Thankfully my dairy allergy is just annoying vs more serious, and I always carry my enzymes in case. I should have checked the label in the case myself to confirm it really was vegan, but it was an accident or mistake, which happens. I would definitely go back as the drink was tasty and I'm confident it was made with oat milk as I can taste the difference always if it isn't, but definitely will be double checking any food if I order it again. The brownie was really tasty for the few bites I had before doubting it, so I gave it to my partner to enjoy later, but he didn't think it tasted like a vegan brownie either. Anyways, I think it's a cute set up with lots of potential for all meals and both coffees and cocktails later on, which is cool and there's a little market you can shop at too. It's a shame, because that affects the dining experience for customers and must be difficult for the students he presumably oversees.. Still, if you are OK with not knowing if the dish will match the menu description *exactly* (or you make sure to check right before you order), you can get gourmet, creative, interesting lunches for less than they would be anywhere else. There may even be a dessert available, like the very good creme brulee. The waitstaff doesn't seem to be very familiar with the menu, so they may make multiple trips to check with the kitchen if you make inquiries. Be proactive to check that you have everything you need at each step--the person bringing the plate may not have checked whether you need utensils, water may be filled randomly by a different person, etc. They are sweet and earnest, though, so be patient with them.
