Its like instead of having people wait for a open table, they cramed as many tables in as they could and even the isles are narrow. I personally don't like rubbing elbows with a stranger next to me. Had breakfast here this morning at10 am. I ordered the mini breakfast it came with one egg two pieces of bacon ,breakfast potatoes and toast, a good value. The breakfast potatoes were hot with a good flavor. I ordered my egg over medium and sadly it came over easy, even the whites were runny,The bacon was cold and limp And did not have any flavor. I was craving bacon today kind of flavor less and greasy. If you come here I would ask them to cook your bacon fresh. It appears they cooked the bacon earlier and then just tossed it on the plate after they cook my breakfast. The staff is very attentive to refilling coffee and very courteous very friendly. This is my favorite no frills place to go for breakfast. Their prices can't be beat and the food is tasty. I like to go for their early bird special and I usually get the Denver omelette with cheddar cheese. First off they really need to clean, there is dust and dirt on every ledge in this place. Then we were seated where they had not even cleaned the floor from previous tables. They were busy so the staff they hadn't couldn't keep up. We ordered the country Benedict and regular Benedict but we got hard boiled eggs instead of poached eggs. The hollandaise was broke. Then the menu says country potatoes but we received hash-browns; understand there is a difference between the two. The customer service was all right, however, our food was disgusting. I got the vegetarian platter, and he got the huevos rancheros. The tables are tiny and have way too much on them (menus, multiple bottles of condiments, bowls of butter and half & half). If you're looking for a consistent, inexpensive breakfast "diner", this is one of "the" places to go in the greater Citrus Heights area. Almost as consistent as McDonalds, almost as inexpensive, they have fabulous (borderline incredible) pancakes. They're open early which is a big deal for us. This is my second time here and I love it. I love that you get to seat yourself as soon as you walk in. Though it could get crowded at times the staff doesn't seem to let that get to them. I ordered the cornerstone omelet with the home fries and an OJ. Everything was perfect! The hollandaise sauce was really yummy as well. The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the outdated furniture and the menus seem dirty. The menus are only because they leave them on the table and the customers spill stuff on them. I love the staff interacted with me. I even seen a waitress sit down with the customer to take their order. That may rub some the wrong way but I really enjoyed it. There is plenty of parking and location is pretty good.
