This restaurant sells the option of gluten free crust and an option of a vegan pie. You can get a vegan pie with a gluten free crust. HOWEVER the vegan sausage does have wheat in it! Therefore a "gluten free" pie here is NOT GLUTEN FREE. Furthermore, when I tried to warn the employee that this is a liability and they are misleading the public and opening the business up to potential lawsuits, she told me I was being "aggressive" and "inappropriate." I think they should understand that while I personally am unlikely to sue them over this, I could, and at some point someone probably will. read more

We have ordered from Cornerstone a few time. This is the first time we have been very disappointed in their pizza? When we ordered everything went ok with the process. When we go our pie it was cold and just not up to what we have come to expect from them. We ordered a 1/2 and 1/2. One half was Donna's fav and the other half was firehouse. For me the firehouse was very spicy and Donna's fav was just not good. And on top of that we felt the pizzas were not worth $19.00 plus tip, especially since it was cold. read more

We were in town visiting CWU, where I had gone to school, and I forgot how cold it can get! We had our dog with us, so we needed a place where we could eat outside, cold or not. Cornerstone had their tables set up so we stopped by. The person manning the counter was delightful, very friendly and helpful. She even brought a bowl of water for our pooch and turned on the outdoor heater for us (which required her climbing on a ladder) even tho we were the only people out there and hardly worth the time and effort. To top it off, the food was delicious, creative while also getting everything right. I ordered the vegan pizza, which I know from many experiences is very difficult to do without some ingredient not being cooked right, especially the cheese. Not so at Cornerstone. Everything on the pie was cooked to perfection and tasty. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich, which came in a hefty portion, and exclaimed happily at one point, "This has apples in it!". Their customer service is not very good though if you show up as a single woman, alone to watch the music, even if you buy a pizza and drinks!!! If the waitresses don't think they can flirt their way into getting a good tip from you, you'll be straight up ignored, no one will ask you if you want refills on your drinks, you'll have to go up and ask for everything and anything you require (you almost have to be your own waitress) and when you go up and ask for your check, you'll be waiting about 40 minutes to pay, so just keep that in mind. I did not think I was going to eat the full personal size pizza but it was so good. My husband got the pulled pork grinder and didn't think he was going to eat that much and finished his as well. I had heard so many great things about this place plus the reviews were favorable so I went to try them out. Nice menu. Great decor and ambiance but the customer service sucked big time! When I finally got my order after waiting over 30 minutes it was not what I ordered and the staff said I was wrong - it was what I ordered. I asked for my money back. They stated that I would have to wait for the owner/manager for that. I waited another 10 minutes (granted it was busy) no one came. I left and called my bank to cancel payment. Which they did. I'm bummed out because I thought I was in for a great dining experience. Man, was I wrong! I've talked to other people and they said that they never had a problem there. We dined in here for dinner last night. The wait is not long. Sitting outside would be a great experience but inside is mediocre. We ordered potato wedges and roasted garlic chicken pizza. Overall the food is just OK. Some of the potatoes were hard inside. As for the pizza, it lacked any flavor and was very bland. The flavors of garlic sauce, herb chicken were absent and there were hardly any green onions. The service is good and were receptive to feedback on the food. The pork wasn't as moist as we hoped, but the chewy/crunchy bread they used made up for it. It was pretty amazing bread! They slaw added the perfect amount of sweetness to the sandwich. My hunnie an I shared this and ended up bringing some of it home. --we also ordered the half order Caprese salad. The balsamic dressing and mozzarella was delicious. Then a server brings two pizzas and I clarified my order. She realized those were not our pizzas and apologized and at least brought some water. My daughter and I stopped in for dinner after a tour at CWU after seeing the reviews on Yelp. We loved the vibe, albeit a bit loud at times. If you are looking for a quiet evening, this isn't your place. Even though they have sound boards on the ceilings the conversation and noise in the restaurant seems to reverberate and at times it was pretty loud. It lost a star for a very persistent and annoying flies (just a few but still) that buzzed around us and our food so we had to constantly swat them away. It was distracting and gross. On to the food - it was DELICIOUS. Super creative choices in every category from appetizers, to salads, to sandwiches, to pizza. So many great looking choices that it took us a long time to decide. The potato pizza was AMAZING as was the Thai. They split the large so we could have both. The mac n cheese WAS TO DIE FOR and the spinach salad had us drooling and wanting more. The dressing they must make is one of the tastiest dressings I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Our bill for all of the above and just waters was around 34. We had enough pizza to bring home. I was pleasantly surprised. A brand new business location built from scratch. Not quite finished yet but the owners are giving us a sneak peek while tighten in up. I have long been a fan of the D &M Coffee "franchise." A home grown favorite created by a local couple interested in quality, personal touch, and community connection. Apparently their success has allowed them to create this new business from the ground up and allow them to express their vision in a new and impressive way. I was first taken by the architecture and layout that invites you in. It was great to see an artistic sense of style. I love the aged metal siding. The large covered outdoor area is going to be a hit. The predominate fair is pizza, pasta, and salads. The pizza is more of an artisan quality. Not the college dorm quality.
