We decided to stop and eat here as a man had drew me in initially with telling me about their options as there are so many restaurants here on Bourbon street. We decided to sit on the terrace and it was a tight fit but the two of us were comfortable nonetheless. We were promptly greeted by a waitress who took our drink order and asked us if we needed any recommendations. She recommended me the Mac N Cheese as I was stuck between that and the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. When it came out I was a little surprised on the portion as the meal was $21 and I know seafood can be expensive but I thought the pasta portion might be larger with what I was paying. When I sat down, or should say attempt to sit down, my wife, myself and 2 other friends chairs were leaking fluid, don't know if it was water or something who knows coming out of the chair. It depends what you're there for... The location is great for people watching. They have a large, upstairs balcony overlooking Bourbon St, so if you're wanting somewhere to get off the street, have a drink, and people watch, there are certainly worse places you could end up. That said, we tried the gumbo and it was hands down the worst we ate the entire time we were in the city. They also don't list their drink prices on the menu, and (spoiler alert) they're not cheap lol. I ordered an old fashioned that was undrinkable, and my wife had two cocktails that may or may not have actually contained any alcohol. At the end of the day, you know what you're getting any time you venture down to Bourbon St. If you want a balcony to people watch from, it's a fine place... just do yourself a favor, skip to food and stick to beers while you're there. You can sit downstairs at the bar and watch a game or go upstairs to have a meal in a larger beautiful room with surround balconies. On a recent trip to NOLA, my girlfriends and I walked by Cornet when exploring during the day and decided we wanted to try it out for dinner that night. We were surprised to find that we were going to be seated immediately when we showed up right in the heart of dinnertime on a weekend because our experience has been that it can be difficult to get outdoor dining on Bourbon Street without a reservation or without waiting for a long time. While we were thrilled at the time, looking back that should have been a sign! I am giving them 3 stars purely for the ambiance. We did, in fact, love the outdoor dining option and thoroughly enjoyed being able to see the shenanigan's of Bourbon Street while enjoying our meal from above. With that said, my food was not very good and that seemed to be a unanimous opinion across the board. I opted to try the Lemon Chicken: Grilled chicken breast with fettuccini and house made lemon alfredo sauce. The dish was incredibly bland, the chicken overcooked a tough to chew, with little to no hint of lemon. It's not that the plate was necessary gross to eat, so I did eat it purely for sustenance, but it wasn't flavorful and not worth the $20 price tag in my opinion. Our server was friendly though and again, the ease of getting a patio table was wonderful. A local NOLA friend recommended this place to eat for lunch not for the food, but for the Bloody Mary's. We were also drawn to this place because everywhere else had long wait times. We got seated on the balcony level where we could look down at all of the festivities on the street. All of the main entrees were probably all at least $20 which I guess is typical for being in the middle of the French Quarter. I ordered the crawfish Mac and Cheese ($20.50) and my group got fried alligator ($15). The mac and cheese wasn't like your traditional Mac and cheese, but was instead in more of a creamy cheddar sauce. Good amount of crawfish tails and I was left feeling very full and heavy. The fried alligator tasted like chicken, but it seemed like there was way more batter than actual alligator so we were eating mostly batter. Service was pretty slow. It took a while to get our food, our checks, and our cards back. They didn't seem that overly busy for service to be that slow. read more

And lastly, I wasn't able to use my Yelp coupon for 50% off for the appetizer I ordered. Thou manager came by to our table and told me to marked my coupon used, and she will take care the discount. When the server brought the ticket, I was still charge full price for the appetizer, and the server insisted the discount was applied to the whole ticket. I tried to explain and showing him the coupon and the receipt showing no discount, but yet continued to tell me something else!!!
