So we were told they have great food. Nope we were miss informed! Skip this place. Only 1 menu for the entire restaurant? So we had wait for the table next to us. Only 1 bar tender/ waitress on a Friday evening. Out of many items due to no delivery. Onion rings for appetizer freezer burned then fried to black extra crispy.! They took them off our bill. Hamburger very well done. Fries were good. Beer good. Waited on bill then went to the bar and waited for our bill to pay. Will not be back. Will not recommend unless we don't like you. Sorry but worst restaurant in Grants Pass and we go out at least 2 times per week and lunch daily at local restaurants. Needs lots of improvement! read more

Recently moved to Grants Pass and wanted to find a great gut-bomb burger. This place was great! They have a really good selection of gourmet burgers made with 1/2 pound handmade beef patties and the works. The buns were fresh and delicious, too. Hubby had homemade potato salad with his and I had the fries which were big wedged potatoes. Really yummy! I had a Bloody Mary and it came with celery, olives, pickled onion, and BACON! So good! I also had a blackberry Mimosa that was bubbly and tasty. Hubby had a Hefe with muddled orange in a glass. The servers were very attentive and we had a lot of fun talking with each of them. The chef even popped out of the kitchen to chat for a bit. She does a great job with the food here. We will be back for her from-scratch breakfast next Sunday. They serve breakfast every Sunday morning until 1:00pm, but she went ahead and made us hamburgers early. We enjoyed our lunch and drinks and the patrons and the servers so much! I don't know what Corvettes got to do with this dumpy little bar. Why don't you swing on past and see if you can figure it out? I was trying to catch up on some Monday Night Football and was staying across the street. I found Ric's listed among "sports bars" though I don't know how true that is. When I walked in the place seemed really dated. They had old, old TVs, most small, some with horrible pictures. All of them thankfully turned to MNF. I don't know how often the place gets cleaned; if dust could tell stories... There was a group of guys who seemed like regulars at the bar, and some others guys came and went. In two hours I saw exactly zero women come in or out of the bar, except for the lone pleasant barmaid. I jokingly made a comment about this to the female bartender "This is a great place to pick up chicks, eh?" "HA! It's place for guys to get away from their wives!" She shot back. All the old guys were plenty flirty with her, and she gave 'em hell right back. This was pretty amusing. I ordered a couple beers and a burger (of course with fries). The waitress recommended the burger. She was right, it was really good. So were the fries. A really commendable job on the fare from an unexpected place. Eventually the cook came out. I remarked on the excellence of the burger "You hand form these?" He replied "Everyday. Don't use no frozen meat. I do the fries everyday too." He was deadly serious about it. I can tell. Finding a good burger is a tough chore (read my other reviews). This dude and I, we have the same love when it comes to formed beef patties. Ric's badly needs an updating. I can't say I'd go back. It's just so old skool I have a hard time getting past it. But the burgers were really good and are worth the price of admission. Ric's may be your kind of place if you enjoy this sort of thing. I'm a little too young and a little too irregular to really enjoy it. Maybe when I'm 60 years old and need to flirt with a pretty waitress and all I have in life are four other dudes who enjoy the same experience....maybe then I'll come back to Ric's. This place made me laugh walking from our Shilo hotel all the way to it. It reminds me of all the fun, inexpensive bars in every place I've lived that have made me feel welcome. There was a guy straddling his harley when we came walking up who seemed to be yelling on his cell phone like most 50+ older folk. He nodded to us as we walked up and I giggled talking about all the decor on the outside of Corvettes. We found a spot at the bar for the two of us. I noted the appetizers on special and a ton of lottery. Keno, slots, lotto tickets ... you name it ... all amazingly cheap. The available pints on tap were a pretty good selection. No strong IPAs, mostly lighter domestic beers in general. I hear the burgers are really good at this place, but we didn't stick around for food. We had a big dinner and family to go see. Though I must say so much of the food smelled good and the specials were a great price! read more

In Grant's Pass for my Pal's 80th we spotted this place across the street from the La Quinta we were staying at and weren't disappointed. It fit s in the "Triple D" category somewhere, hmm maybe, dumpy dive! We ordered drinks, Chardonnay for the Lady and I a Miller Lite. I opted for French dip & fries, excellent texture and flavor ( but not like Phillipe's!) perfect thick cut fries and an excellent Au Jus for dipping. The Mrs. went for the chili dog (1/4th pounder) covered with cheddar and onions, definitely knife and fork and very delicious! Next time through town we may have to come back. read more

1 star is being generous. The worst place in town. Got onion rings that were freezer burnt then burnt in the fryer. One menu for the enticenter, literally one menu we all had to share. Service was slow at best and nonexistent in reality. Burgers terrible, over cooked. Tomatoes soggy and inedible. Owners sit at end of bar worried about themselves and not anyone else. I am at a lose to explain how this place ever won best burger, would be a better bet to go across the street to Carl's Jr. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Half the menu was unavailable because of late delivery or something. Asked for ketchup, got less than half a teaspoon in a cup to last for a plate of fries. If I could give 5 negative stars I would. Will never ever darken the doorway to this place again. read more

Food is good. Customer service is terrible if you're not a regular. I'm a bartender and while sitting at the bar, two different bartenders walked past my empty glass five different times after my first beer and I opened a tab. I know they saw it so they were clearly ignoring it. Based off some of the things said I believe some of the bartenders come to work stoned. Customers are allowed to put "machine in use" on video lottery when there is no money in the machine. If it wasn't for the food, I'd rate a one. There was only one good bartender and she had dark hair and lots of tats. The younger cook that always wears a hat is a good cook and has good customer service as well. read more

I think that this is the best burger and fries that I've had anywhere in Grants Pass in the last several years. A half-pound of tasty and fresh ground beef with all the trimmings. Home cut fries served as fresh as they can get. Wow, they even had some of my favorite beers on tap. Yes it's a bar. Yes, you don't feel like your in a four star restaurant. The only thing that was a let down was the waitress. Nice enough, but needs a fire lit under her. We shouldn't have to wait for over ten minutes for our tab when we were finished eating. We loved this place. Dropped in o. A recommendation and ordered one of their 1/2 pound burger with cheese and fries. They cut it in half so we could share. It was delicious and the fries are fresh cut. Service was outstanding. Give them a try for sure!!! read more

When I am in Grants Pass I try and stop in here for a Burger as much as to chat with Ashley. She is adorable and her fun friendly attitude embodies the spirit of this little joint. Burger are pretty good too and the hotel I stay at is right up the block, so it is very convenient and Granny's house is within walking distance. Thanks guys for being the little place I can go to get away from the family and old people, cause God knows I can only stand hearing about the whether, the 50's, 60's and needlepoint for so long before I'm ready to murder anything that moves!! If I could give it no stars I would. The lady that runs the place is absolutely wretched she tipped herself $10 out of my hundred dollar bill before I came back to me after I simply bought an IPA that was way overpriced than it normally was. Complete garbage all drinks are weak. This place is a hot mess and shouldn't even be open . I feel like all the food I ever got here (all 3 times ) hoping it would be better just got worse. Nothing is what it looks like online the food is under cooked And the owner is a hot mess. I have never been so offended by someone I was over paying. In for beer, food, and sports on Sat 1:00. No vol on TVs as radio on for cook and bartender. Ordered ckn strips and fries. Waited forever. Food finally in window but ignored by bartender. Bar was clean. Drink prices were good. Bartender (think her name was Ashley because i heard another patron called her that) was sub par. She did get drinks to us but was in no way personable. There were between 2 (us) and 8 people in the bar and she never introduced herself or tried to engage in any type of conversation. This is why I believe a cute butt and other features mean nothing in a bar. I would rather have a male bartender who can (and will) have a conversation. My visit was June 10th around 9pm read more

We walked the one block from our hotel (Comfort Inn) and found it to be just fine for what we wanted. Hubby and I would consider this a "dive" bar, but just great! Full bar, we had basic cocktails that were very reasonably priced. My drinks seemed to get stronger each time! Service was great, wasn't very busy when we were there. Food (we both had bacon cheese burgers) was just fine. We will definitely come here again if we stay in Grants Pass again. read more

I have stopped by this bar many times when I am in town. Mainly due to its location within walking distance of most hotels. Bag of chips with a burger? How much does a fryer cost? With that said it is a low key, small bar with ample sports on the tvs. Not a horrible place, but the bar maids had better know you otherwise they will treat you like you have the plague. read more

Monday night football and dinner in a sports bar...perfect! Ric's filled the bill for us. Although the bar isn't filled with giant flat screen tvs (thus 4 stars not 5), the food was good, the draft beer selection was adequate and it wasn't deafeningly noisy. There were lots of locals enjoying the game and we were probably the only out of towers. The all you can eat spaghetti was just like Mom used to make and the side salad was crisp and fresh.
