After a walk on the Liberty Station jogging path, we decided to come here for a quick bite for brunch/lunch. I've been here before, but this is the first time I'm leaving a review. We were seated promptly in a booth next to the DJ station/booth and right next to a kitchen door. The seat was tucked away so we couldn't really see much of the festivities (or the restaurant's fun decor for that matter) and we were definitely accosted by a lot of noise, flashing lights, etc.. The festivities were related to a birthday happening nearby and the dance/song that the servers do for the birthday person. It's definitely a fun place to go if you are celebrating. We were just a few middle-aged folks grateful for waking up to see another day. Upon being seated, we waited for our server to come over. After about 7 minutes, she came over and said that she'd be right back after she sang & danced with everyone. About five minutes later, after the rousing birthday song and many flurries of pom poms,she came back and took our (pretty basic) order. I got a side Caesar, a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a kid size milkshake (vanilla with choc syrup). The rest of my group ordered a side Caesar (he wasn't that hungry) and the third person got a California Dreamin' Sandwich (grilled natural chicken breast, guacamole, green chilies, lettuce, tomato, onion, pepper jack cheese & natural cut fries (gf*)). The waters are dropped off right after we ordered and my delightful milkshake followed shortly afterward. One sip (slurp) and I was so happy that I am an adult who can enjoy ice cream before my meal! It was the best part of my meal!! The soup was mostly broth with a few pieces of pulled chicken, few kernels of corn, and lots of colorful tortilla strips. It was tasty enough and the broth had good flavor. The Caesar salads arrived without dressing, and they used a softer green leaf lettuce instead of Romaine. Oh well. Our server quickly brought the dressing and we ate the salads without complaint. We need our veggies, amirite? The verdict on the chicken sandwich was that it was fine, and the fries I tasted were crisp and did the job. Overall, the food we ordered was fine. The place was busy with birthdays and cheering kids. There was also a balloon artist making balloon animals for kids and a photographer who was offering to take photos of each group. We opted out. Lol... I mentioned the noise because one of the people I was with is light & noise sensitive & this place was a bit much for him. So if you have anyone in your family who has a similar situation, please be advised. I think that Corvette Diner has a kitschy and fun retro ambiance. It's worth coming to at least once for the experience. We were treated kindly, we had some fun, and we will be back in the future. read more

It was my group's first time visiting today and I definitely will be coming back. There was a lot going on for visuals and sounds, and the decoration was awesome. Felt like taking a step back in time so that was really fun. There were a lot of birthdays going on and a handful of kids singing and dancing along with the throwback, classic music. Even so, it wasn't chaotic, which was great. Service was fantastic and our server was super attentive and even went out of her way to help us take photos. Big round of applause for the service here. Food was delicious. Got the Kookie and honestly, I was tempted to order another one for togo. Our table had many other dishes and items and the overall feedback was "The food is great." The fries were fantastic too, definitely liked those a lot. Parking was a bit of a struggle but it's Liberty Station so that's not surprising in any way. Worth the parking in my opinion. The ambiance and decor is great. The music is loud and the area we sat in was dim but there were neon lights. The servers danced at once point but honestly looked annoyed. There was a guy going around making air balloon animals and things for tips. It was cool and a nice touch. There's an arcade in the back but you can only use a card given by them and it was difficult to use. The food was good. Not great, but not bad. It was our first time here and it was my boyfriend's birthday so he got a free ice cream at the end. We sat in the dark room which was pretty cool. We ordered the garbage plate which was too much food for even two people, so I'd recommend splitting it between 3 at least. It was really good though! Our waiter Ace was super funny and nice. This was very cool birthday experience that both of my kids enjoyed although I will say it was sensory overload. Super loud, hard to hear and very visually stimulating. It was so fun to see the servers dance and sing, our server really put on a show! The arcade in the back and games are very reasonable prices and my kids both loved the prizes they earned with their tickets. Much nicer than you can get at Dave and Busters for less tickets - highlights were Zoltar and the claw games. Everyone enjoyed their food and the variety of drinks was super fun - milkshakes and Shirley temples. I inquired if they had any dairy free milk shakes or ice cream and the server said u fortunately they do not anymore. I was able to get a black bean burger with no cheese which they said was vegan. What a great experience! My family and I celebrated an 18th birthday and an 87th birthday, fun was had by all! "Betty" was awesome and Allan the "balloon guy" made the entire place smile with his talented balloon making. We drove in from LA while visiting SeaWorld and will definitely return. Woooo hoooo!! We dined here on 7/22/25 to celebrate our 1st date anniversary of 37 years. I first took my wife to the original Corvette Diner in Hillcrest in '88 so we decided to re-live the moment. It was Tuesday evening around 6pm when we arrived and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. We were given a table in the back right area just past the large dark neon lit dining room area packed with families. It was a little more chill in the brightly lit dining area where we were seated. We ended up splitting a Rory Burger (hamburger with bacon and peanut butter) served with onion rings, and a side salad with 1000 island dressing. We also shared a bottle of still acqua panna still water. Most servers are usually a lot lively, loud, talkative, funny, and over the top. Not our server, maybe the management doesn't look for that personality when hiring their staff these days anymore. Our server was plain, monotonous, and just meh to be honest. We asked if they had sparkling water (i.e. Pelligrino) and he told us they did but it was Acqua Panna instead, and upon receiving it at the table, it was still water and not sparkling as ordered. Our server rarely checked on us, and honestly didn't see him until our check came. Thankfully our burger, onion rings & salad were delicious because the service was a little disappointing. Corvette Diner sure isn't the same lively, upbeat, and happening place like it was in the late 80's when it was still in located at their original location on 5th between University Ave and Washington St. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Biff and Marie! We had to cancel a last minute Disney trip for my daughter's birthday because of the heat wave, so we were scrambling to put together a birthday celebration for her at the very last minute...and they truly came through!!!!! What made it even more special is that we actually celebrated my daughter's birthday at the diner last year as well, and Biff was the one who waited on us then too! It was such a sweet full-circle moment to have him be part of her birthday celebration again this year.Due to the last minute invite, we ended up having to add more friends than originally planned, and they were incredibly accommodating with everything! They made sure to add more goodie bags, there were plenty of games, they even added cotton candy birthday cake. Biff and Marie both waited on us throughout the celebration and worked so well together as a team to make sure everything was taken care of. We visited this fun diner many times in its original location in Hillcrest when we lived in the area. I was excited to try the new location at Liberty Station. It did not disappoint. The fun, 50s decor still pervades the interior. The wait staff still perform, throw straws down all over the table, and behave like over dramatic characters--all part of the fun. This place was an absolute experience when we got here. There's a sign saying weights could be yes long as 90 minutes, but our party of three was able to be seated in about 15 minutes on a Sunday night. There's a huge parking lot with plenty of parking so that made it nice and I have to worry about finding parking in the area inside. They totally hit that old time team with the music and the diner. Feel special with all the movies and Elvis videos playing during the seating. I got a lemon lime, Shirley Temple and the Rory burger which was peanut butter and pickle. I've had some good peanut butter and pickle burgers at other places so this one fell a bit short for me overall. The peanut butter didn't add much taste to the burger. There wasn't enough of it. The burger was very Bready. The fries were decent and the drink was good. My partner, a San Diego Native, has been raving about this place since long before I had had the chance to visit, so my expectations were quite high. And Corvette diner absolutely met and exceeded those expectations, especially with how thoroughly committed they are to the theme. From the paper diner hat, to the outfits and makeup and songs, the themed rooms to the live radio broadcast booth, it was a truly infectious kind of excitement. The food was wonderful - you can't really go wrong with diner food in my opinion, especially with the fun variety of flavors and combinations many of their menu items had. We got an Elvis milkshake (banana, peanut butter, and marshmallow!) as well as the Rory burger, which was super unique, with a peanut butter sauce along its bacon burger. My favorite was the Buffalo Bleus - a fried chicken sandwich with blue cheese, and buffalo sauce, that was as flavorful as it was messy, and I loved every bite of it. Our waitress was super friendly, and super into the 60's spirit, which made the whole experience that much more fun. She let us know about the arcade in the back as well, which was a whole other room or lights, games, and fun. Corvette diner is such a gem of a restaurant, I truly can say I've never been anywhere else like it. On 17JUN2024 @ or around 12noon, i came here with 4 others in my party and it was by far my favorite visit at any restaurant! We waited 10-15 before being greeted by the person at the front stand. But once we were seated, it was wonderful! The FOOD: I ordered the Breakfast At Tiffany's, which is basically a bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg. As simple of a dish as it was, it was cooked to perfection with the runny yolk crunchy bacon and perfectly crisp waffle fries. The Service: Ruby! Our server Ruby was nothing short of AMAZING! she delivered our food quickly, efficiently, and with a smile! She checked on us frequently and made our visit worth it. This place had such fun ambiance. We sat in a room full of neon and black lights but the music was so loud I could hardly hear my waiter. Our waiter Mac was phenomenal but it did take a while for the food to come out even at 8pm. I had the Hawaii 5-0 and it was amazing!! The PBBC shake and it was fantastic!!! My small complaint was the onion rings. I am not a fan of fish and the onion rings tasted like it was in the same fryer as the fish.
