If I could zero stars based on the experience this time I would. First off we ordered nachos from the happy hour menu and when they brought them they had shrimp. No where did it say shrimp. Last time we went we ordered the exact same thing and they were bean, meat and cheese. I asked what the rib eye appetizer was and the waitress said it was rolls. When they brought it, it was not rolls. When we got the bill they had tacked on a 3percent credit card fee with no notice. We cashed out since the waitress was leaving so she could get her tip. We kept ordering. They brought us a free drink to try. When we got the second bill they had overcharged us for some shots we ordered to incorporate the fee for the drink. When I pointed it out they took my card (you can use a QR at the table) and said they would fix it. The second bill they added another 3% fee that the wrong bill didn't have. Check all of your bills as they are taking advantage of customers. Also- if they are going to automatically add a fee they should give advance notice so that if a person wants to pay cash they can---SHADY!!!!!! read more

First time trying Costa Pacifica, ordered Door Dash for lunch for the office. 2 fish ceviches, 1 Torre Lida and 1 shrimp Toritos. Order was just delivered, haven't even taken a bite and I'm already dissatisfied. We received 1 tiny bag of tostada chips (10 chips), no crackers. I have never been to a restaurant that didn't serve chips or crackers with the ceviche, and for the price, the Torre Lida should come with chips or crackers also. Needless to say I have 4 disappointed people!! Immediately called the restaurant and was told "we give chips upon request and the ceviche was served with cracker" which we received none. Got here and it was a 25 minute wait to be seated. So we decided to get some drinks at the bar. My husband ordered a frozen cucumber margarita, while I went with a cucumber lemonade and a 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 water for my 18 month old (to cut the sugar in it). Total for this came out to $19 (including a $5 tip) at the bar. Husband thought his drink was ok. Didn't like that the cucumber they used still had peel in it, but he said it wasn't bad, just won't order it again. I, on the other hand, enjoyed my drink. Especially, on a hot San Antonio day like today was. Little one just enjoyed anything other than water. lol When they sat us, we had already had the time to see the menu, so we knew what we wanted. Waited a bit, but the waitress explained that she thought someone else had already taken care of us due to our drinks. She apologized and asked if we needed a menu. We told her we were ready. I ordered the large Back to Life Cocktail and my husband ordered the Fish Ceviche. My cocktail was absolutely delicious and done right! So much so that it reminded me of the cocktails that I grew up with eating in Mexico as a kid. Oysters were fresh. Shrimp was plump and the octopus was perfection! I made the mistake of adding more lime to it and it made my teeth hurt, but that's on me for not tasting it prior. My only complaint was that they only used about a tablespoon of diced avocados. No biggie though, because our waitress brought me more. My husband loved his ceviche. Which is a big thing because he usually doesn't eat fish, not like a lot of seafood done estilo Mexicano. But this, oh this, he LOVED! I had a taste of his food and I must say, it was pretty amazing because it tasted fresh and not at all '"fishy". We ordered the rice for our son and he ate a little more than half of it and about four or five of our crackers. So he was happy. Hubby also ordered a piña colada, too. He enjoyed it. We were going to order the churros for dessert but we were too full from our meal. Wish we would have taken a picture of what we ordered but we demolished it as soon as it got to the table. Our bill, with the cocktail, ceviche, side of rice and a piña colada came out to about $43 (not including $10 tip for the waitress that we left). This past weekend, I came here with a group of people to celebrate a birthday. We forgot to tell our waitress that we were celebrating one, so I'm not sure if they do some sort of special celebration for their birthday guests. BUT, I can say that their shrimp nachos and mango-chamoy margarita were super delicious! It was very sweet and could've used another shot, but maybe it's a good thing that it didn't ;) The ambiance was wonderful for 10pm on a Friday night (a great place to be if you want to get out of the house, but still want some music and drinks). Wonderful live music out on the patio and our waitress was extremely accommodating towards our friend that was allergic to avocado and shrimp! I was quite surprised when I found this place. I wasn't aware it even existed in this location. My wife and I decided to go and give it a try. At first I though it was a fast food restaurant like Laguna madre or seafood island but noooooo. It is an actual sit down restaurant and I must say. THE FOOD IS GOOD!!! I usually put a lot of lime juice to any and all seafood because I am a fan of the citrus taste, it this time I felt embarrassed because I asked for limes and didn't use them. The flavor was sooo good that I didn't need the citrus flavor to help make it better. I had the shrimp del Indio and a taco gobernador just so I could try it. Damn was it good. My wife had the paella and even though I am not a fan of mussels the dish was very flavorful and rich. As always all the food was hot as I always like it (temperature not spiciness) and the fries were nice and crispy. This is my new favorite place for seafood. Totally unique compared to any other spot I've visited in San Antonio. I had no idea what to order, knowing absolutely nothing about authentic Mexican seafood, so my friend from Guadalajara pointed me in the right direction by starting off with a tuna sashimi type appetizer. Tuna sitting in a shallow pool of soy sauce, layered with a thin slice of cream cheese and fresh avocado on top. Not only was this light and perfectly suitable for a healthy appetizer, but the flavor and textures blended so well together. The cream cheese was the perfect cut to the saltiness of the soy, and the tuna was not fishy in the list, almost as if they caught it that morning in Puerto Vallarta. Then the Al Pastor fish tacos. Again, incomparable to anything else I've eaten. The fish was marinated in a sort of sweet and sour glaze, then lightly fried (I think) just enough to get it a little crispy. Melted with some monterey cheese and topped with some more avocado, it made this fish taco hater a believer. Seriously, I've never been a fan before these. They have a mean michelada mix with plenty of Mexican beer varietals to suit your fancy. This place is NOT TexMex, and that is okay. When you are seated, you get tostadas and two types of salsa. The tostadas are whole, which is different and they are accompanied by 2 sauces. One is a smoky salsa and the other is avocado based and creamy. I loved them both. I really like that the menu items are ala carte . I got one tostada with fish ceviche and a green shrimp enchilada. I loved them both. If you order a side of beans, plan on sharing as it is a generous serving! Service was great too. I wasn't fond of the flan. My roommate and I decided to try this place yesterday because the have happy hour all day on Mondays. And what college student is going to turn down cheap margaritas? I ordered two mango margaritas and my roommate got a chamoy and cucumber margaritas. While they were tasty, I didn't think they were mixed too well. All my mango syrup/puree seemed to be at the bottom, so it was like I had a half lime half mango margarita. The cucumber margarita was surprisingly refreshing but extremely thick and hard to suck out of the straw. I won't comment on the chamoy margarita as I am not a fan at all of chamoy in general. I order the queso flameado and fish tacos (al pastor style). The tacos could've definitely used more seasoning but I did like pineapple they mixed into it. In the past when I've ordered queso flameado it usually comes on fire or with a flame; after all flameado does mean flamed. Despite that, I did really enjoy it, especially the garlic seasoned mushrooms. I will be returning soon for some cheap margaritas and to try a different plate. read more

I swear I am on some kind of bad run. It has not been my week for eating. But finally, a success story. The food here was delicious. Let's start with the positive. I have never had Shrimp Costra and I am hooked. It is basically a taco with a fried cheese shell... Off. The. Hook! I do have a negative though, the service was slow, really slow. But the staff was friendly and very willing to help. Also there was a problem with my bill and it took like 30 minutes for the manager to come talk to me. But, when the manager finally did come over he was very respectful and actually took care of my bill. YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT. The manager didn't even charge me for the drinks I actually did have. Tried out Costa Pacifica on a whim this past weekend and sooo glad we did! We expected a Mexican Red Lobster-type of menu but hot damn, it's so much more! Half of the menu contains dishes that you order a la carte like enchilidas, tacos, tostadas etc while the other half has full on entrees. For appetizers/tapas we tried the Norwegian Tostada and Shrimp Empanadas. The tostada has thin slices of salmon with a cucumber salsa and each bite was more refreshing that the last. The empanadas were fresh, flaky and flavorful. For the main course, I ordered Chile-Tao Shrimp while my husband ordered Green Shrimp Enchiladas and Shrimp Tacos. Wasn't too crazy about the green enchiladas... maybe because I associate green enchiladas with tart tomatillos and there weren't any in this version. The tacos were amazing and my Chile-Tao shrimp were deee-lish. On top of this great food came great service and great booze. I ordered the Pineapple Mojito and it was perfect. I really enjoyed brunch last Sunday at Costa Pacifica. I had the Octopus Zarandeado. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't the whole octopus that i had seen before (nor was my wife's). The sides were only fair, but overall the food was very good. I'm really looking forward to trying some other dishes there, such as the norwegian tostada. Updated- Ordered takeout the other day. It literally took 50 minutes to get the order out correctly. I sent back items twice as they weren't what i ordered. I have noticed they never get the sides correct, but i was willing to overlook.
