The Photo dept is horrid. The african-american man who works in this dept shouldn't be working with the public. I believe his name was James. He is rude to customers and talks down to co-workers. I went there to have a few home videos transferred to dvd. He snapped at me a couple times when I asked questions. He was the same way when I went back 3 weeks later to pick up my order. The quality of the dvds was horrible. The audio fades in & out, there are lines throughout the screen and a constant humming noise. What a waste of money!! read more

A great place to get your prescriptions especially if you don't have insurance. You get discounts if you tell them. You DON'T have to be a member to use the pharmacy or for that matter to buy alcohol! Pharmacy friendly and helpful. Prices are better than anywhere else. I used to pay at CVS for a 30 day supply What Costco charged for a 90 day supply on several of my meds! Costco prices for uninsured is almost as good as Canadian mail order pharmacies! read more

This Costco as a whole has been great and problem free since my move to GA. Today, however, I had a rude experience with one of the supervisors while letting them know I was charged twice for something about an hour before. The cashier was great and called the supervisor over for the key and approval.. when she asked what the issue was the cashier stated that he was charged for this item twice (only $9, but that's not the point). The supervisor asked if it was a purchase from today and looked at me, turned to the cashier and said "are you SURE he was charged twice. Poor cashier looked at her and said "no, but..." and the supervisor looked at me and shook her head then walked away. I promptly asked the cashier if her supervisor was implying that I stole a $9 item to which she shook her head and said "I'm sorry about that". Not sure if it was racial, my tattoos or this lady was just having a crappy day. Either way, this is crap customer service and why hate continues to grow. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this store. I can't seem to spend under 200. But I keep coming back weekly no matter how hard I try to stay away...I am addicted to this place. The staff is great and the quality of products is superb. They are getting more organic food too. I love the Alo drink. It cost 13.99 for a case of 12. If purchased individually, if you can find them at some Targets and wholefoods for 2.49. I buy two cases per week (1 for my family and one for my father inlaw who swears by them because he is diabetic and this is the only drink that hydrates him and does not raise his sugar levels.) read more

We didn't have Costco where we moved from. Another reason to leave NY ...LOL. Yes, Costco is jam packed with people, we all know that. If you can't deal with it don't go there (my husband refuses to go to Costco). If you go on Saturday just plan extra time and practice your jumbo cart maneuvering. There is simply no comparisons on the prices ... you can't beat Costco on most items. Yes, you sometimes have to buy a large quantity but that's the nature of wholesale clubs. I LOVE the food samples throughout the store. You literally can enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres or a lite lunch ...LOL. The samples work ... I generally buy the items that I sampled and liked. The vision center is by far the most reasonable in terms of cost. I wouldn't go anywhere else for glasses. The store in Buford does a great job of keeping the register lines reasonable. The staff is friendly and works hard bouncing from line to line to help customers get their items through the register process quickly. If I am shopping for any item I always check Costco first ... sheets, fan, computer, wine ... they generally have the items and they are priced less. Same with gas ... if I'm going by during the week and I have 1/2 tank or less I just fill up. read more

I love coming to Costco! The cashiers are efficient and friendly! I recently just purchased two GREAT seats for a Mets/Braves game here. At Turner field, they would've been $90; here it was only $54. Costco is where I go to get my all basic stuff and more in bulk. I love their tropical ice cream where its in the shell of the flavor the most! I can't find that same ice cream at Sam's so thats extra points for Costco. Also on Sundays they give out samples and I love that! Gotta try it out before buying it. I think Sam does that too though. MALL OF GEORGIA LOCATION: I had given my daughter in-law my Costco card to pickup some items for me on several occasions, she was told by this one person that it would have to stop as I was the only person allowed to use the card! Costco have lost a good customer today because they don't understand that sometimes members can't make it to the store so they have someone else pickup items for them. I am sure that I am not the only person to do this!! More troubling to me is that I have used my husbands card numerous times at this very store and never once had anyone asked me why I was using a card that was not mine! Makes me wonder if there is a bigger issue here... my daughter in-law is Africian American and I am Caucasian. Hopefully this is not the cause but maybe it is. read more

I called Costco optical today to ask about putting the lens from my daughter's broken glasses in new frames. The original broken pair was purchased from Costco less than a year ago. They looked up the order and said they still had that style frame and could do it. I went in same day and saw the same person I spoke to on the phone. I asked if there was a warranty on the frame and he looked to see where/how it was broken and said let me see what I can do. He already had the frame behind the counter just from my phone call earlier. He switched the lens into the new frames - free of charge! I LOVE COSTCO AND THEIR GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The food court is "fantastic", as all of the employees there say. They all have great team work and great attitudes. The employees in the department blow my mind with how well they are able to handle fast-paced situations, as well as certain members who are a little more needy than others. They always greet their members and thank them before they leave. They also make sure that each order is taken care of in a timely fashion before taking care of the next member in line. They're all personable, and they're all very friendly. They manage long lines well, make sure that they never run out of product, and are organized in the back. I probably wouldn't come to this Costco if the staff wasn't as friendly as they are. I also bought my phone from one of the employees, Frazier, at the Verizon cell phone area last week. He is very personable and I never felt like it was a sale's pitch. He even recommended that I go to Best Buy to get a phone case because they price matched with Amazon. He made sure that he took his time with the sale, and he was patient, informative, and professional. If anyone needs a phone, I definitely recommend going to him. read more

Cool place my friend told me to get a membership and I was a little skeptical because I'm single. Very nice I will have to say it's a very large place I really enjoyed the samples. After waiting such a long time, I finally decided to join Costco on Friday at an Expo. That was just the start of my issues. I was told with my membership I would get 3 cards. I went to the location at Buford Ga by the Mall of Georgia and I have never received such bad service. It started right away at the Membership Desk with Kandi when I tried to pick up my card. I determined that my wife's company had a better deal that what I had received for membership signup so I asked Kandi how I take advantage of that. She told me I couldn't. I knew Costco had a 100% satisfaction guarantee so I asked her to cancel the membership and start a new one with my wife's benefits from her company. Kandi once more came back and said you already got a 10.00 gift card and can't use another promotion. I handed her the unused card and said just cancel the membership under your 100% satisfaction and restart my membership. She told me I would have to return to the club that I signed up at. I told her it wasn't a club but at an Expo. She then told me that wherever I got my membership, I would have to return there to get a refund and cancel my membership. I told her that the Expo was no longer there! She walked away, up to a coworker and never told her coworker what the issue was. The co worker walked up to us and asked how she could help us. Kandi never smiled, or greeted us from the beginning and had attitude the whole time. Then she walked away and never said she was leaving us and never assisted us again. Another girl assisted us and she was ok but our interaction with most of the employees there was less than impressive. They were not friendly at all. I'm very tempted to cancel my membership as I still have my Sam's Membership and never had this kind of bad customer service from them. I just thought I would try out Costco for a year. Not impressed and very disappointed. Don't waste your time! I hope this location doesn't represent the whole company. read more

This is the third time in 3 months we have had a bad experience there. 1st problem customer service said they would not load gift cards for us at their desk that we had to wait in their long lines for one. 2nd problem, door greeter gossiped about my dad with another customer on front of me. He was smoking so instead of saying please tell your father not to smoke in that area, she trashed talked with the customer . Then the cashier yesterday, was rude to my family while ringing them up. We are not renewing our membership for sure. read more

This location is clean and has a lot of merchandise. You can go early and on certain days and it's not too crowded, unlike the Duluth store. But, and this is why I give it 2 stars only, the people are, I can't say rude, but indifferent . I had a cashier named Dwight. I don't know who is helper was but she was same. Instead of saying hello he says " I need your card". Everytime you go in there they change the "proper procedure" they want to use to check you out. I feel like I"m being trained for a for a dog and pony show. One day they want your card so they can just sit it on top of your merchandise while it goes down the belt in front of whoever is checking out in front of you. The next time they tell you to go get your own boxes, then the next time they yell all the over from the cash register to where the pile of boxes are located and I standing in front of, to tell you don't need to get boxes. And this is after they've barely spoken to you during the whole transaction. But they certainly have time to talk to one another. They seem to have the same attitude as government employees, who are nearly always rude and seem to think they don't need to acknowledge that you are the customer. I like their prices but don't like the experience of going in there at all. read more

I really like this Costco. I used to shop at the Sam's Club in the area and consider Costco to be much better. Costco seems to sell less Chinese and other imported things that Sam's Club does and treats their employees much better from what I hear. The greeters and people who check your receipt as you leave are incredibly friendly & kind people. I save a great deal of money on food items that are staples in my diet as well as on prescriptions, tires and beer. The store brand items are also consistently very high quality, especially the Kirkland signature green tea. I strongly suggest getting the executive membership if you plan on shopping at Costco regularly as the plan has been paying for it's self in rebates at the end of the year for me. I've also been very happy with the Costco American Express credit card they offer, it gives you even more rebates on top of what you can get from having the executive membership. read more

The staff here are extremely friendly. The prices are usually very good. The executive membership pays for it's self if you shop here regularly through out the year. The wait time to check out is always reasonable in my experience. The pharmacy is top notch and a great value. I occasionally eat at the restaurant and although the food generally comes in very large portions and is generally not the healthiest it is always fresh and tastes good and is probably healthy enough in moderation. The gas station seems to be generally among the most inexpensive in the area. And I love the samples. The Kirkland Signature products have never let me down. I'm especially fond of the green tea & grape juice. I also like that the staff is reputedly paid a living wage, which makes me feel good about shopping here and probably goes a long way to explain their positive and friendly attitude. I do wish that their beer selection would come close to matching their wine selection. The must have 18 different wines for each beer they offer. It's also very clean and generally not overly crowded. read more
