My husband and I probably took up too much of her time asking for her opinion on guest outfits for a wedding, but she was so kind, helpful and insightful during our shopping journey! She lent her expertise in picking a weather-appropriate outfit for my husband and gave us ideas for our outfits-she really went above and beyond. We did end up buying some pants and a shirt from here and they were a very light linen material...a bit see-through, but for a desert wedding, they should be perfect. The price was a bit more expensive than I would have hoped for, but Men's clothing always seems to be more expensive than women's. Came here last week to try on clothes. There was only one worker at the time and she was busy catering to other customers. I was in line for the fitting room and a girl right before me went in and used the dressing room. When my partner did the same, that's when the worker decided to come up to him and say what he did was wrong and that he should either wait and tell her or he's never allowed in the store again. But the girl before us didn't get any treatment or was even addressed the issue that we went through. terrible employees. at least be mindful and careful on how you speak to customers when addressing a concern. Absolutely terrible customer service. My mother and I were shopping and I went into the dressing room to try some clothes on. There were no signs anywhere to wait for an attendant plus there was only one employee. While in the dressing room, the employee asks how many items we had and told us to wait for an attendant so they could count the items next time. Of course, all of this was said in an accusatory and rude tone of voice. Once we finished, we went to the cashier to pay. Instead of helping us or even acknowledging us, the cashier runs to the dressing room to count our items. Furthermore, once she came back (no thank you for waiting or anything) she rings us up and asks like 3 times if we wanted a bag. I told her each time, no. This for some reason made her even more annoyed and when we didn't answer her the last time she asked if we wanted a bag and we didn't respond. Once the transaction was over. She placed the folded jacket on the counter, doesn't even say thank you or have a nice day. Nothing. My mom said "wow, thank you" and we walked out. Stopped in today for early BTschool shopping and concert outfit for kiddos. The assoc, I saw 2 were so attentive and kind. They never stopped folding or organizing. The fitting room was clear of any old garments. The selection of clothing has improved imo. The cotton felt so much higher in quality. Found our needs and more. BEWARE TEENS! Hostile environment for minors at a TEEN clothing store. Becareful of the Brea store manager D. She will yell at you in front of the whole store, demand that you hang the clothes you tried on to the CORRECT hanger and lecture/accuse you of stealing and threaten to call security if it's not. Also, don't bring a different size for your friend if it doesn't fit, b/c they will accuse you of stealing as well. Parents, go with your child. Workers are unhappy, rude and label teens as thieves. The manager refused to talk to me when my child called since I wasn't there for incident. Later when I called the store regarding the issue. She accused my child of stealing and HUNG UP on me even after they checked her bag twice. The harassment they received was unacceptable and hope this never happens to your child. read more

The store was too tight you couldn't walk without bumping into people. We stood in the checkout line for 30 minutes. The line was barely moving with 20 people in line. There were only 2 clerks there and half way through one left. So then only one person was belong the line. Worst experience at this location. I came in to return my order and they ordered one of the items for me to be shipped to my house. The other two I returned. Turned out they couldn't put it back to the card so I asked for a giftcard . They said they can't do that and I would need to shop right then and there. I wanted to re order the pants I wanted online but refused to give me even a giftcard. I decided to just end up shopping there and used my "credit". I go home and I look at the receipt. Turns out the guy helping me didn't even order the right size I needed . This made me so upset because not only could I not buy what I wanted to online, but the cashiers didn't even order me the right size I asked for . Their clothes are alright; I've never really seen something that I've truly liked here. They do have some nice sales here, but they're usually on clothes that I would never wear. The salespeople do acknowledge your existence, as I was in the back and they asked if I needed help. There was no price on the sunglasses that I was purchasing and the saleslady checked the price and rung me up! However, on sale items, there is no refunds (as they politely informed me). I'd rather shop at H&M at Brea or Macy's to find something else my style, but if you like their styles here, it's a 4.5 star place! read more

I went in today and found a shirt that i liked but it was hanging up on the wall. It was by the t-shirt area for women's and this guy that works there who was folding clothes asked If I needed help. I told him I was interested in that shirt and asked if I could see it. He said that was the last one hanging up. So I asked if I can see it. He said sorry but it's busy. I absolutely love this store to shop for my kids! The clothes are well made, price is decent and the there is a huge variety of gender neutral items. The only complaint I have is the staff. The cashier at the register, male, blonde, wore glasses. SUPER RUDE. I had a return but was also making a purchase. As I handed him everything I could feel and see the negative energy coming from this guy. I let it go, maybe it was rbt. It wasn't! I wanted the remaining balance back onto my debit card. He told me I needed to use my credit card, I explained I used my debit card not a credit card. If the boy had hair I'm sure he would have flipped it, because the sass that came out when he heard debit lol. I don't understand why my debit card was such an issue for him. The card number matched, the money went right back on like I knew it would, but the way he talked to me was like I was beneath him. Can I just say, I LOVE Cotton On! It is my favorite store! They always have awesome stuff at reasonable prices (even when NOT on sale)!!! Anyway, this store just opened. I think the sales associate told me they opened on Thursday, June 30th. I've already been here TWICE since it opened! I know, I know, I'm obsessed haha The store is located in the unit where Metro Park used to be (first floor). The place is not too big and not too small. They were able to put in a lot of merchandise for this place and still allow enough room for customers to walk through without bumping into stuff. They had 2 registers and when I went, the lines move relatively quickly. They have a good amount of fitting rooms as well...not just like 2 rooms like the other locations I've been to. The sales associates were friendly and VERY eager to help out in any way possible. They even check on how you're doing in the fitting room. GREAT customer service, I'd say! :) I guess word got out about this store opening. I was shopping in there for a while and I saw a good amount of foot traffic come through. AND people didn't just walk in and walk out...most actually bought stuff. In conclusion: GREAT finds (clothes, shoes, bags, & accessories), CHEAP prices (but good quality), FRIENDLY staff (always available to lend a hand and give fashion advice), and LOTS of fitting rooms. read more

If I could I'd give this place ZERO stars. The first time I came in I was greeted by sleezy employees that look like they don't even want to work there. This kid working there was wearing a tank top, patchy facial hair and looked completely unprofessional was goofing around flirting with his coworker and rather pay attention to her than help me look for a shirt that was my size-how professional. If you're going to hire couples please be sure to separate them so they can actually get work done! I LOVE Cotton On. The clothing is stylish, affordable, and comfortable! I find it to be a nice blend of Forever and Foreign Exchange. Compared to Forever, prices are a bit higher, the quality a bit better, and the style more sedated (Forever has a high school feel to me-- as a mid-20-something-year-old, Cotton On's style better suits me). Compared to Foreign Exhange, prices are lower and the quality is about the same. In terms of style, Cotton On is very similar to FE's casual wear, but(!!) as mentioned, notably more affordable. Also, I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and the staff was great: pleasant, helpful, and attentive. Finally, I noticed the wall behind the cash register reads "Like us now? You'll love us later." Or something to that effect... anyway excited for what's to come! read more

I've been to both the children's store upstairs and the adult one downstairs. The children's store is pretty small and cramped. I don't know why stores that cater to children don't make their stores bigger. I usually shop with my children and the narrowness of the store makes it impossible to browse with strollers! That being said, they have a big selection of sizes and good deals. I have a toddler and a newborn so the "2 for $15" type of things is always a good investment. I have noticed slight shrinkage with some of the shirts but nothing too crazy. The adult store is a lot larger and also carries most of the things you find online. Both places have friendly employees and this is a nice store when you want to stock up on basics! read more

Was really nervous about bringing my return in today after reading all the negative reviews on Yelp. I never had to return an online order with Cotton On before and after having read all the requirements, I was more than a little stressed about it. I just wanted an exchange, but according to the return slip, a store can only return or exchange if they have the item in stock. Well, I decided to give it a try and was relieved to find my item still in stock in the store. I took it to the front for exchange and the two salespeople at the register were so nice about it! They took the slacks I ordered and did the necessary paperwork quickly and efficiently. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and encouraged me to come back for the weekend sale. Visited several times. The place feels like home. When my toddler was messing around, I tried to stop her from making a mess. The employees offered my daughter to draw with crayons, sitting on a kids size table and chair. Knowing my daughter was busy with drawing, I could take my time picking out clothing. The ladies were very friendly, especially the lady who looks like she was in her late 30s to mid 40s (sorry). I like her most. Best cotton shirts that have a "cooling" effect for hot California summers. I have no idea how they do it, but cotton on shirts are just amazing. They feel cool and soft to the touch and, and they are the only shirts that I like to keep on my child during hot weather. A lot of the T-shirts also come with the wider neck hole. I'm a fan of Carter's also, but their shirts just do not compare and quality to cotton on. Cotton on is also great for large toddlers and kids. At first I didn't think that the shirts were overpriced, since they are about $15 each, but they have enough sales for the shirts are marked down to $10 that I think the quality and coolness of the cotton definitely makes up for the price. I know that the care tag on the cotton shirts say that they should not be thrown in the dryer, but I have no problems when I have done this. They don't shrink more than any other shirts (I actually find they shrink less than other brands if at all and the color stays pretty well). However, I do prefer to air dry my child's clothes anyway. read more

Used to work here for a short period of time a while ago so it was nice to stop by and see what was new. The store was well kept and prices were low, good sales offers (like any standard retail store). Writing this review mainly because the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Though 2 other workers I interacted with were also very nice and helpful, in particular, Patricia (I think that was her name) was amazing--helped me with everything I needed, and took the extra time to ensure I was satisfied! Both of the assistant managers here, Gwen and Alexis are so welcoming every time I come in! They make my shopping experience so much fun! All of the associates there are so kind and if you need another size that they don't have on the floor they are so nice and go out of their way to check in the back for you! The guy worker (short, round faced) is incredibly rude. I bought two shirts totaling to 27.00. Shortly after I changed my mind so I went to go return it. First off, he was being rude when saying that I needed a photo id and asked me like five times why I'm returning it. So I kept trying to tell him that I changed my mind. Then he started telling me to exchange it and bring another item when I clearly told him that I wanted cash back. I left saying that ill come back with the photo id So my friends sister came with me to return it and the same guy kept asking why I was returning it. And I said the same reason over and over again. He then tries to sell more things to us asking if we wanted to buy anything that was on the wall behind him. We said no. And then he opens the register to return my 26.99. I told him when I paid I paid exactly 27. And then it took them like 5 minutes trying to verify that I paid 27. Then he gave me another penny and I said I want a dollar bill and he said I can't. Bought a sweater during Black Friday they left the sensor on but I didn't realized it until Christmas when I was going to use it. I don't have the receipt anymore but I figured they can look it up since I charged it. They said it will take awhile to search for it so they won't be able to take it off without the receipt. Left my sweater with them since I won't be able to use it anyways...first time I ever bought something there and it will be the last!
