    Brunt everything bagel
    Christina L.

The loose bagel (which is their choice of bagel with cream cheese) is super worth it, at $3.85! Able to get plenty of and like weekly. The super aesthetic salmon lox/protein which is really delicious, is quite pricey, ranges from $19.75 - $26 for full bagels. Able to order half too. Weekend 10AM, 15 minute line to order and another 10 minutes to get bagel. There's only outdoor sitting available, the tables fill up quickly too. Ordered the slice smoked salmon and burnt everything, total is $26.50. The bagel is quite large and has a crunch. The smoked salmon had a some citrus which complimented super well. Overall, would come back to get the loose bagel since that was worth it. The salmon is more so just one time and it's easy to make at home.

Came here because the bagels look similar to Apollo Bagels in NYC. Like Apollo's, they have smoked salmon, whitefish, and tomato bagels, but the bagels are better in NYC. Overall, if i need a bagel fix, I would still come here as the bagels are delicious. There's a lot of outdoor seating but there's also a lot of people. 15 min wait in line, 15 mins to wait for food on a Saturday

The bagels are light and crispy. I wish they put more cream cheese... there was like barely any on there. The tomatoes were super juicy. Came on a Sunday at 9am and there was like a 15-20 min line to order and then another 15 min wait for the food. It was nice they have umbrellas for waiting in line and has a mist spraying machine. There are quite a few tables outside if you want to eat there.

Did I just pay $8.75 for one half of a bagel and thin spread of cream cheese? Yes Would I do it again? 100% I highly recommend keeping it simple. The only acceptable bagel is salted seasoned with the tomato bagel. So simple but so delicious. Every bite was a different dimension. I'll be dreaming about this bagel until the next time. Great customer service. Plenty of outdoor seating.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for courage bagels yet. This was our favorite bagel spot and go to spot for years as they have great toppings (despite the costs!) they get super busy and there is always a line outside. They do have some tables right out on the side walks, the order window is at the corner and it's fairly easy to order to go

Excellent bagels! I totally get the hype! By far, the best bagels I've had in LA. I like them even better than Gjusta! I wish this place was located in the South Bay! I will add that I wish they had a bigger space since their sidewalk setup is not really great. I opted to take my food to go and eat it elsewhere. And yes, it is not cheap. Though, the quality and amount of toppings are proportionate to the price.

If you're into fluffy bagels come here! We came in a Saturday and the line wasn't crazy long. Although parking did take a second to find, we enjoyed a nice walk after bagels. The tomato's were perfect, juicy, plump and savory. The bagel itself was fluffy and crispy. If you're a big spread person maybe you can ask for heavy spread as I thought the cream cheese layer was a bit skinny. There's small tables and stools with umbrellas to enjoy your bagels! Cute spot for a quick bite!

I been here so many times. Best bagel spot in LA. Staff is always friendly and vibes are always good!!!

Hand Sliced Smoked Salmon & Run it thru the garden.

Good Bagels. a little bit less doughy/thick as a NYC bagels. Could use more smear but ingredients and very fresh. I wanted more slices of smoked salmon. I appreciate the open face bagel a lot. Ordered: - Hand Sliced Smoked Salmon - Run it Thru the Garden Both were yummy. I think I prefer the smoked salmon one slightly more but I always love a smoked salmon bagel. We went on a Saturday morning and got there about 5-10 minutes before they opened. Waited about 30 minutes ish before getting our food.

Okay bagel was 10/10. Toppings were 10/10. Would highly highly recommend coming here and will def be returning. I got run it thru the garden on sesame seed bagel with a cashew smear. Delicious and crispy. Vanilla paste latte with almond milk was perfectly bitter/sweet balanced. My full open face + drink was about $30. To my surprise the line was short Sunday around 10:45am. Able to order quickly, waiting for food wasn't too bad around 15 mins. The person taking orders was super helpful recommending things from the menu (since all sounded so great). There was a good amount of outdoor seating with umbrella to block from the sun but many people were there waiting. Didn't take long for someone to head out to get a seat, so not really a problem but could be worse if it's a super busy time.

The bagel with just tomato , some olive oil , cream cheese and a squeeze of lemon and salt/pepper , it's divine

The bagels were good, but honestly pretty pricy. 2 reg bagels and 2 specialty bagels came to about $60.... I also felt a little pressured to tip bc they do it for u instead of u being able to do it yourself lolol.

Does a whole bagel come as two open-faced halves? In other words, if two people want to try half each of two kinds of bagels can we order two wholes and share or do we need to order four halves?

Yes. Bagel sandwiches are open faced

Do they make or sell gluten-free bagels?

Not that I have seen and I was there less than a month ago. I would love it if they did though.

Anyone know the nearest accessible restroom?

Sqirl a few stores down has one

Is there a long line at 7 AM on weekdays?

No line at 7:30 or 8 when I've stopped by. About 20 min wait for your food.

How much are half dozen? And how much are dozen bagels? Is there a set price? Or does it differ? Can cream cheese he purchased ? Or is it better to get the cream cheese at a store?

Maybe this will help Hane- https://couragebagels.com/new-page And, look at the bottom right-hand side of the menu. 2 loose bagels per customer!!

Can you buy a dozen bagels?

    Yes

Is there a limit on how many sandwiches someone can order? I'm willing to stand in line EARLY to bring home breakfast for my family - but don't want to get there to find out it's 1 per person!

I've never got the vibe that there was a limit, but things do sell out (specific bagels, etc)...

Do they have the roe bagel? They said it was out of season when I went a few months ago...thanks!

Yup. It's back. Check out their Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/courage_bagels/p/CUQn114vplz/?utm_medium=copy_link

    Any vegan creamcheese?

    Yes! They have one!

    Any gluten free options?

    Just the beverages.

Is there a time when it is less busy on the weekend?

Probably better to line up in the morning, though everyone orders more then so it goes slower. 730am Sat was 10+ deep.

By what time do they sell out on sunday?

That's a difficult question to answer. Depends on the crowds.

    Any vegan options?

They have a vegan cream cheese option.

Our favorites are the MCB (nova lox, tomato, onion, capers & plain cream cheese on an everything bagel) and the Loxsmith (nova lox, crispy salmon skin, radish, pickled fennel, dill & beet cream cheese on an everything bagel). The MCB shines above all the other sandwiches for me and it's our favorite breakfast in the morning. Every bagel has the right amount of chewiness that we all love. My family and I would walk and frequent this place every morning to start the day with their fantastic bagels when we lived in the area. Oh how much we miss the living in Highland Park with the awesome shops and restaurants this city has! 5/27/2026 4 Stars -…read moreminus 1 Star for lack in parking spaces. First time at Belle's. PEC Got it on a plain bagel. The bagel was fluffy and had a nice chew! Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. They did not skimp on the seasonings! Every inch of that bagel was covered in seasonings! Favorite Bagels: Salt Bagel, Everything Bagel BEET CREAM CHEESE Delicious! Smooth, creamy, almost buttery! This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.

It scratched my urge and was perfectly seasoned. I'm really big on texture when it comes to my food and this bagel had the elements I needed. We take our number and go sit and wait at the small blue tables outside like most everyone else. Strike one was their being out of fresh made orange juice, something that should NEVER happen at a bagel purveyor... oh, and my coffee? Was only technically that. Seriously. It tasted more like tea to the point that I questioned whether or not they in fact got my order wrong and it was that. Flavorless. (2/10) I like my salmon bagel and the ratios were pretty on point with there being maybe just a tad too much cream cheese. For $20, this was what I expected and I appreciated the quality olive oil drizzled over the quality ingredients to keep it all moist. Loved the tomato and capers. It's a big meal and half of it went home for later. (8/10) My date's bagel was a nightmare though. Thick wedge of cream cheese on a barely toasted bagel, she had to wipe half of it off just to eat it. And as for this being a "hatch cream cheese?" Like calling my brown water broth 'coffee,' I'd suggest that it only technically met up to the definition: there were 2-3 little chunks of hatch chile. Seriously. Two or three. The white cream cheese hardly had any smell or taste of hatch chile. I know as I ate the other half she took home. Dispel any fantasy you might be harboring of that cool, greenish cream cheese with real chunks of smoked hatch chiles because that doesn't exist here. (2/10) So there you have it. For close to $40 when you factor in tax and tip? This was barely a 3 star bagel experience. Order with care and intention.
