I always order those from places on the weekend and this is hands down the BEST breakfast burrito I've had. What a random little cafe that also happens to be amazing! My friend and I were yelp shopping for a place to get a quick bite and this joint looked good. I didn't realize it was inside/attached to a tennis court building, which was weird because I felt like I needed a membership or something, but nope, anyone is welcome to dine here! It was totally dead when we went. I'm sure during busy tennis times (is there a tennis season? I know nothing about tennis clearly), there are more people in there, but there was no one but us. The woman behind the counter was so nice. I think her mom and daughter were in there too because the older woman went back to help make the food after we ordered. They were all so friendly to us. I got a breakfast burrito. It was delicious and exactly what I was craving. My friend got a burger and loved it. I was impressed with how fresh everything was. And then out of nowhere, she asked if I wanted some fries for my son. He's 18 months old and had already eaten lunch, but was clearly bored and a little noisy. At first, I thought she had said 'rice' which is weird, but I figured sure, a little cup of rice would be nice. But then she brings out a whole order of fries that were SO good and she didn't charge us for it. She was just being nice to my baby boy. This place is fantastic and we'll be coming back. This place is a little gem in Burbank and since my kids place tennis at the tennis center we are almost regulars. During summer camp my kids eat here almost every day and I am not worried a bit because Izabella and her team not only cater amazing food and service but the care and attention they give to every single child is simply priceless. Finally tried this little gem right before a game of tennis because the yelp reviews and pictures looked surprisingly legit (a little cafe in a recreation facility you might expect cafeteria quality but this place is the real deal and honestly will be a go to spot for us to order take out or even just a nice breakfast or lunch. Parking is easy so it is easy to get in and out of there. And you don't have to be a member of the club (there seems to be a perception that it's members only cafe). I had the burger which was fresh made, not frozen, my wife had the acai bowl which isn't normally my thing but it was fresh and freezing cold and perfect for 90 degree weather. After tennis came in to see if they were still open (they close at 2 on saturday) to try the cucumber lemonade mint drink. BOTTOM LINE: Good food with very generous portions for an affordable price. A great place to stop if you need a snack or a meal when you're at McCambridge Park. THE EXPERIENCE: Full disclosure: I work at the tennis center next door... so I was a little bummed when 40 Love Cafe closed because I loved the Thai food at my disposal. I have been pleasantly surprised to try all of the fare at Courtside Caffe. The food is good and there's always plenty of it. The big draw (especially in the chilly months) is the soup. Isabella usually keeps 2-3 different homemade soups nice and piping hot to go with your sandwich or your salad, assuming you're not into a giant pile of fries (which comes with the sandwiches unlike many places in LA). They also have a large sections of snacks from fresh fruit to acai bowls to pastries to chips if you need a quick pick me up before or after your tennis match or while you're playing at the park. The food and staff here are INCREDIBLE. Izabella specifically is awesome...I've ordered a few times now for pickup and she remembers me every time, even the little mods to my orders here and there, and always has everything ready on time...and always with a smile on her face. Food-wise, I've yet to try something I didn't like, from the simple grilled cheese or chicken Caesar wrap, to the steak sandwich, to the veggie panini. The truffle parm fries are to die for, but I'd have to say my favorite thing on the menu is the açaí bowl. It's priced so well for what you get, especially by LA standards, and always hits the spot. 10/10 in my opinion. They do catering!!!!!!!! I had my son's 4th birthday party at McCambridge Park and Courtside Caffe did the catering! It was beyond delicious, we had sandwiches and Caesar Salad and Greek Salad and Fruit Salad! The best part was that it made my set up so easy! I just showed up to the park, set up the picnic tables and then they delivered the food to us! I will tell every mom that I know to do this for a party. The hardest part about a park party is the setup, and 90% of the setup is the food. Courtside Caffe took that labor out of my day! And to top it off, the food is delicious! the sandwiches are best of class and very elevated. I will come back here with my family to have lunch on a normal weekend.
