We are not happy. Very frustrating as we had a plan price that was affordable and now it's not. And we were told now we're in a two year contract for a higher rate! We are reasonable prudent people and we're given the runaround and not treated like we are valued customers. I had a legitimate and justified reason to be upset with their service, yet I was given the runaround on the phone with no real solutions. When I calmly asked for the legal department's contact information, a completely reasonable and lawful request, the store rep immediately asked me to leave. Let me be clear: I remained calm throughout the entire interaction, despite having every reason not to. I am a high-paying customer with multiple properties under Cox service, and instead of being helped, I was threatened with removal and even the cops. This is not just unprofessional, it's outrageous. Both bad and good service here, feel a little bit on the fence. Located inside an appliance store, a little hard to figure out where to go at first. Then just follow the Big Ass signs to Cox. Looks like Cox sublets a room in this appliance store. Found the Cox counter then promptly ignored for many minutes by both "manager type man"and "young girl in training ". Manager was attempting to train new girl hire on how to help existing customer. But in the process did not greet us, did not acknowledge us or say "I'll be right with you". We are standing around feeling uncomfortable. New customer comes in behind us, manager greets him immediately "did you find the cable?" Apparently guy had been there earlier and came back for more help. Now manager finally says to us "I'll be right with you'". Extremely unprofessional, rude, and chalk like personality customer service. I asked for help and the heavy set man behind the counter acted as if I walked in on him eating dinner. I explained that I need to change my plan to lower my internet service and add tele. I read to him the order number that I placed online hoping that I could simply pick-up the Contour box. He could not find the order and I asked him to lower my "unlimited" internet plan from the $133/month to the 1.20 TB package since I only averaged 717 Gb of usage. The plan included same upload and download speeds for $67 less per month. I've been overpaying by $65 per month for over a year based on their suggestion. He then quoted me the price of $168 a month to lower and add the television package. FUNNY, It's $115/month online. So I read him the order numbers and he could not find them and asked me to step aside. NOT ONCE did he recommend other deals, what would be best for my usage, NOTHING. RUDE uneducated idiot in the customer service roll. Maybe he's better doing something else. He was rude asking me to step aside so he could help the one person in line. I thought he was helping me. JERK. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with COX, not help, kept getting transferred and disconnected. One person in the "Loyalty Customer" group offered a much higher offer than what is available online. I suggested that I wait to see if one of the two orders I placed get populated into their system. At night I saw the status as "Un-compatible" WHAT? Then a new order pending. I assume they manually are placing the order. I screen shot everything with hopes to prove bait and switch. I will post a YouTube video on how COX is taking advantage of customers and how to review your bill to make sure you are not paying more than you should. At the same time, I will notify the local news stations. I have a neighbor that works for COX that boasts about the "Sharks and Angels" in COX customer service departments. The Sharks get you into packages that you PAY TOO MUCH like I was hoaxed in getting. Then they have the "Angels" that offer you a new package to fix the issue. NEVER have I received credit, and explanation, or notice that a better package exist for my use. I know cellular phone carriers at times would roll over unused minutes. Cox just let me pay $67 more a month for over a year after suggesting the unlimited plan. read more

My internet has not worked correctly for over 3 years, they send technicians out, replace equipment, reset the modem etc. still failing. I called in March of 2023 after my business had gone through a major internal theft issue, and requested my video cameras be moved to better locations THREE TIMES. Techs came out but only fixed the sensors and said that they needed a work order for the cameras. I finally gave up, got internet through T Mobile for the last three months to see how it compared, never failed. Super fast and always reliable. Called Cox to discontinue my internet since Tmobil was handling it just fine. Was told I couldn't discontinue service until my contract that AUTO RENEWS BY ITSELF, wasn't over until October. Well in that case, I will be cancelling ALL services including phone and security with COX in October. You don't deserve a single penny of my money, Thankyou for NOTHING you bag of COX. Do yourself a favor and avoid this outdated, unreliable service and switch to T Mobile. It's also less expensive . read more

So if you have issues or complaints this is not the store for you. Overall, Cox does not have excellent cellular plans, the clarity is not there and it drops calls. 1 star is too generous for the employees who work at this store. One employee is watching an instagram or tiktok video on her phone while at the register, while the employee who's 'helping' me with an issue tells me she's doing me a favor for doing her job (actually not doing a sufficient job), and the guy next to her chimes in, talking like he's more interested in boosting his ego by acting like he's something important, that he has power over customers by NOT helping and sending them away because he can. These people are the worst in society, have no place in a customer service environment. But then what can you expect from a company who has zero care about customers or service. Hire minimum wage workers whom no one else would hire, don't train them, and provide the worst possible experience for people walking in. I've worked with other Cox store locations and my experience with those locations were much better. Whoever runs this location should fire those employees, or if one of those I came across runs this location then Cox should find new management for the location. I've complained to the FCC in the past about Cox which actually got a response from Cox headquarters. I guess they are afraid of FCC and only care about them. Katya was a new trainee who helped me today. She was wonderful! If she didn't know how to do something she got her manager involved and helped. He as well was very great at solving all my issues as well. My original work order was to cancel my cable and just have internet, something got lost in translation and I ended up having unlimited internet (which I something I didn't ask for) Katya and her manager corrected the problem and I was able to return my cable boxes at the same time. Also, I had to put in a work order for transfer. I think these reviews are a little crazy. These Customer service workers are wonderful and very helpful. I witnessed first hand today another person acting entitled and very rude to this one employee over a bill. I was greeted right away, Steve Pacella, the Assistant Store Manager, was able to link my current internet only account with our new Contour Package. He provided us with all the necessary equipment. Whelp, not too much of a shocker here. This review is more for Cox in general, not necessarily this store, although the store is a bit of a S%it show as well. Just spent two hours with Cox's customer service online requesting a simple procedure for my account information. The first Customer Service representative wasted 30 minutes collecting information just to tell me he couldn't help me, and then transferred me to someone who "could help me". Shocker, the second person, despite spending an hour and a half talking with them, was also unable to help me. As a result of being unable to perform a simple request, they attempted to up-sell me instead of transferring me to someone who could help. Overall, Cox is terrible,no surprise. Some of us are stuck using them as they have a monopoly in certain areas, others are lucky enough to have an option to use services from others. Who or what do we need to vote for in our local, state and federal elections to stop these conglomerates from having almost complete control over a utility that has become essentially critical for the majority of the population especially if your job depends on it? read more

Imagine a business model where you punish loyal customers, drive them away, and incentivize them to switch providers. This is the utter stupidity of content providers such as Cox. They lure you in with great one to two year contracts and then, when your contract runs out, increase your rates, torment you with long holds, force you to call them to cancel, and then push you, frustrated, into the arms of the competition. Furthermore, they force feed you services you don't need or want such as security, by only offering the discount you want if you take the multiple service offer. Their tag line "bringing us closer" must be referring to the way they try to collar you into having it their way. Is it any wonder cable TV is losing subscribers at record rates? Horrible experience. I bought Cox wifi pods. After a few months they stopped working. Online tech support couldn't help. Onsite tech support said to call online support to get replacements. Online support said to go to store for replacement. Store guy (Wes) said they don't have them and to go to online support. Long story short - I went back and forth, and literally spoke with 10 people. Each pointed the finger at someone else. Bottom line is, no replacement and no refund, even though the pods are supposedly under warranty. read more

Very slow internet and very poor customer service. I canceled my cable and started using Hulu but cox continued to charge me. Because they don't tell you the amount of your bills in the email sent ( probably so you don't see how ridiculously expensive it is for crap) I did not notice they continued to charge me for the service I didn't want. They really suck, my buddy and I are marines and trying to cancel all our bills before deploying, the representative at the store tried to scam us by saying we couldn't cancel the contract because of an additional piece to the system that was never known about, we spent 3 hours on the line trying to figure out how and we get ahold of a main representative saying all we had to do was finish the last payment of just over $30.
