So I was initially super bummed when I moved and found out I had to switch internet providers. I went into the quail hill location and was greeted by Hugo Campos at the door. I explained what I needed and he had me set up and out the door in ten minutes. I could not be more pleased with the service provided today. He was quick, professional and answered my questions. Worst company ever, if you have any other option just don't got with Cox, i have been with them for more than a year unfortunately because they are the only provider in my area they are so bad literally don't have internet in my house i call them every other week to see what is the problem am paying for 150 mbps but i am getting only 0.3 mbps !!!! Every time i call they said everything looks good and at the end I asked to send me a technician to solve the problem and he came and said the problem is from Cox box outside and we need time to fix and said we are going to refund you your money. Every day I see commercials stating as a fact that Cox Digital cable is superior to service like DirecTV. While I used to battle with Directv on their pricing and packages, I almost never had service issues. Unless there was a heavy storm my service worked. Cox's digital tv is complete crap! Internet also goes down constantly. I had Directv for 18 years and used to think that was bad. But, Cox is ten times worse. Their Cox On Demand service constantly is pixelated and freezes. There are also times where it locks up and you have to completely unplug and restart. In my opinion they should not be able to state their service is superior unless it's a fact. What happened to false advertising? I can't wait to get back to Directv once my contract is up. read more

Cox Cable is absolutely the worst and anti-senior...they made my 85 year old mom (who just moved to Brookdale assisted living) go into the Irvine store to show two forms of photo ID to reinstate her digital phone and wi-fi service (the only phone carrier allowed at Brookdale). After installing a month ago they disconnected her service on 10/30 for unknown reasons. A technician has to come again tomorrow (even though the equipment was just set up). My mom requested after breakfast. I just got an appointment confirmation call that the technician will arrive between 8:00am and 10:00am which is when my parents are getting dressed, receiving medication and must go to breakfast during the hours served. Even if the idiots at Cox do not realize this is a senior living community, it's not the time requested. However, I had to confirm because until the phone service is reinstated, I have no way to reach my parents and it's an entirely dangerous situation with no way for them to call outside. I would never, never, never use Cox unless forced to as this situation. Boooo...hssssss very bad performance Cox, inconvenient and potentially dangerous to my parents. I sincerely hope the technician is able to fix the problem with your phone service tomorrow. read more

Here's Just the last episode: Call them on phone and waited 15 minutes before reaching a human. That person got me locked out of my account and she was unable to unlock it. Yes, the customer service rep at cox couldn't unlock the cox account she was "helping" me with. Escalate to level 2, which is waiting on hold until you give up. Try to chat on internet (through my cell provider since cox internet didn't work), and 30 mins later, nothing. Guess they don't care since they have s monopoly in this area. read more

I wish I could give Cox cable a negative 1 review . I have been with them for several years their cable boxes and their services men and the service they provide is terrible . I have 2 houses. One in Palos Verdes and one in Newport Beach and unfortunately both are under cox cable . I had to have their technician come few times to fix their terrible cable boxes that I pay 250 for several times . We rent and our landlord won't allow us to attach a dish for Directv. So we are stuck with Cox. I say stuck because they suck. Our bill goes up every year and they don't make adjustments. When we used to have Directv whenever the bill went up they always made adjustments and found a way to lower the bill. The same cannot be said about Cox. I just called customer service and the woman puts me in hold for about 10 minutes then returns and says "I tried but couldn't find any discounts". That's all she could do. We just had our AT&T house internet replaced by the Cox Contour system. We now have it in 4 of our rooms. We especially like the voice option that allows us to lookup movies and shows without having to type it in. My grandson loves the sports app because it has all the game details and he can look at it while watching the game. Damien was so helpful in setting up our system and even gave us his direct number should we have any questions in the future!! We recommend the Cox Contour system for the both the younger and older generations!! read more

I absolutely HATE cox communications. My internet connection is terrible. They have sent 4 different people out here to look at it and no one has been able to fix it. My bill goes up randomly every month because of the way they schedule their "discounts". Their customer service and appreciate for customer loyalty is unbelievably bad. I have to call in every few months to complain about my bill and every time I do they always try to get me to cancel channels and take a slower speed of internet in exchange for reducing my rate a measly $10. Came in on a Sunday to stop and start services. More than 10 people ahead of us, but it took roughly 30 minutes to get service, so the wait wasn't too bad. Brian helped us out. He was really helpful and informative. He made the process as quick and easy as possible. He also loaned me a modem since he couldn't activate my old modem from the store (because it was limited to 150mpbs and I upgraded to 300mpbs). Recently, I had some questions about the last bill, and called customer service. They transferred me to different departments seven times! No one can explain why I have to pay that amount. Came in here for self installment pick up, had a horrible guest service experience, a sales representative who calls him self HUGO tried to finesse me by giving me two wires without any explanation telling me all the instruction is on the paper. Ofcourse I had a feeling he was bullshitting me where I had to go back to the store within 1 minute (thankfully without returning home) because I felt weird about it and the 2nd guy that helped me out named Drew was legit and very professional and sent me home with a full installment equipment instead just two wires.. The store is fine but Cox Cable internet sucks. The speeds are erratic and mostly slow but I actually got a speed of 50 MBs one day after Cox was down for about an hour. Haven't seen that since but Cox has been down since too. Don't know if they are working an issue or are just crappy. Speeds have been as low as 10 MBs but generally are in the low teens. I am the only person on my internet channel. There are 19 over sites locally but most people are on channels 1,6 or 11. read more

Terrible service, both in the store and phone customer service. I got an offer to receive a free wireless gateway if I start a service. I accepted and chose to pick up the device at this store and do self installation. They gave me a cable modem instead (no wifi capability). I noticed when I activated the service at home. Called the customer support and they passed me to a few different departments, all asking the annoying identification questions and then telling me that the device I have is a wireless gateway and I don't know how to activate it. The last guy accepted that it was their mistake and they gave me the wrong device. He asked me to go back to the store and change it. Didn't apologize properly or offer sending the gateway in mail! I changed the device to a wireless gateway in the store and they did it reluctantly as if it was my mistake. I guess they didn't like the fact that I'm getting the device for free. I should say that apart from all the trouble I had setting up my internet, its speed is very good; much better than what was promised. No wonder why the service is pricier compared to other ISPs. read more

Way too long of a wait just to get a new remote. Surprisingly busy with only 3 workers to assist. It's not just walk in and get service. You have to wait in line electronically called by order of arrival so fingers crossed you don't arrive after somebody needing special assistance or wanting to get more info etc. been waiting over 20 minutes and haven't even told them the reason for my visit. If its appointment only then why don't they have the option to schedule an appointment online?! This is a joke and they close in 30 minutes and you best believe I leave here with a new remote or goodbye cox. GET MORE WORKERS finally helped and the guy at check in failed to ask why I was going today when I was called they got me the remote in 2 seconds and apparently I could have done that right when I got there and not have had to wait really upset poor service is not a way to keep business! read more

Some people told me about but it but I thought it had improved "not".Unfortunately the apartment were a live they do not give you to many options.
