We just call this place, "Mom's". The service is always awesome and the food great. It does get busy, especially on the weekends, so timing should be considered. They do move people in and out pretty quickly and it looks like they are expanding, so that's a good thing. We happened to be in the same parking lot for another reason and we still had time for a late breakfast, a luxury these days, and we don't do that too often because we miss an old favorite that is no longer there and we like to avoid chains. The name sound enticing so we walked it. Wow, it was almost identical to our old favorite breakfast place, nut not cookie-cutter like a chain., although Cozy Corner is owned by one of our other favorites in Apache Junction. What can I say, i could fill this space with superlatives. The service had small town coziness, the ambience (that's such a bad word for a little family owned place) is cozy, and the food? Okay, it's not cozy, it was delicious and just the right amount, unlike some of those places that waste a ton of food trying to impress us with overloaded plates. Oh so good to eat breakfast at this nice neighborhood gathering spot. Food is at least a "10". On the weekends there is usually a waitlist but it goes fast. They now have a 2nd small dining room that helps. I love good hash browns and the chef knows how to make them crisp on the outside-soft in the middle. Perfection!! Just as all of the previous comments described, this is a great find, nestled into a nook in a busy shopping center. The line out the door to the tiny restaurant can be daunting but it moves quickly. We sat on the waiting bench out front for just a few moments before the friendly waitress sat us inside and I promptly received my morning coffee. It was Sunday morning, around 10:30 am, and I bet at this time when the weather cools, and the winter visitor's return, the wait will be longer! I ordered the half order of biscuits and gravy with an egg and hash browns, and they were everything I could have wanted them to be. The waitresses were so on the coffee refills, I almost had to cover my cup and move it to the wall side of the table so I wasn't slipped a refill when I wasn't paying attention. I definitely never drank the whole cup. Everyone from the waitresses to the person at the cash register were extremely friendly and many regulars were greeted personally by the staff. I definitely recommend this spot, although if you need an intimate setting, the booths are pretty close together, and the tables are wide, so it can be hard to hear the person across your table over the chatter of the people in the next booth. read more

Came for the eggs Benedict and wasn't disappointed. Mom had an omelette and said it was a little dry but still good. Table service was prompt and friendly. Our waitress had a nice smile. The lady at the front counter was angry about something so while the guy that was seating ppl was trying to do his job she was berating him in front of customers and that isn't cool. She needs to be put in check. The restaurant is typical hometown diner with worn benches and neck high tables covered with advertisements for assisted living and repair services. The big surprise came about half way home when my bowels started to rumble and I had to Mario Kart the Hyundai into my driveway and make a bolt to the bathroom . It didn't end well. Located at the western end of this shopping center where Kohls is the major store. We put our names in because Cozy Corner Café is continuously busy. They do have benches and chairs outside which is nice, but our wait was only about 15 minute which is what we were told when we put our names in. When you walk in there, Cozy Corner has three large rows of booths, and up front there are table. Our booth was clean and comfortable. Our waitress Hailey was at our table within minutes and coffee was brought to the table right away. Coffee was good, those who have read my reviews before know I am a coffee snob. No complaints here. I have the Eggs Benedict which was cooked to perfection. (also an Eggs Benedict snob) Doug had the Avocado Omelet Doug gobbled up his omelet really fast, because he said it was so good. This cafe is a local gem. We stopped on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The line was out the door, we put our name on the list, and the line moved along quickly. I say we waited 10 minutes at the most. The decor is old fashioned, but gives the cafe a homey feel. We were seated and our waitress was by our table to get our drink orders right away. I ordered the classic breakfast. 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. There was a choice of home fries or hash browns. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering how busy it was. Love this place. The food is consistently great. The coffee is not strong enough so I bring instant espresso to bolster the flavor. But the staff are always very accommodating and pleasant. It is very populate with Snow Birds and if you don't go before 9, you will be waiting outside. They have chairs out front to relax in while waiting for your table. Same AZ issue of patrons removing their masks and talking to waitstaff (thereby exposing the waitresses) which makes me crazy but the restaurant did their part.
