Lobby area with check-in kiosks and tables for individuals or small groups.

Nice place to do birthday parties. Our daughter has been here a few times now and enjoyed it every time. They have a private studio out back that one can book for large parties, as well as an open area with tables for individuals and smaller groups out front (past the check-in kiosks). The service is solid and they have COVID protocols in place. They can arrange for food and cake, or you can bring your own. Bathrooms are clean and there is plenty of parking. We will certainly be back - plenty more birthday parties coming our way!

Nice place for relieving stress through art. Came here with my friend who won the giveaway. The service was really nice. The only down thing is I wish they have several closed rooms that we can use. It was too loud and hectic when the children's bday party was over. Some children ran around and spoke/screamed loudly in the same area we painted.

We spent about an hour or so here this Saturday morning with my 3 year old daughter. It was not crowded since it's a big space although there was a birthday party going on in the inner room. Big selection of nice paint colors and many items to paint, from basic canvas to ceramic items. My daughter mostly painted a cupcake which was a neat little piggy bank open-able at the bottom. We chose some nice colors like pink, turquoise, purple and silver. Quality acrylic paint. We all got aprons. No pressure, no sales-pitch, very relaxed and accommodating. We had a good time.

I had only an hour to finish this at their studio, I was working at the same time so I had to take the painting home to finish it

This place is awesome! Great place for everyone to express their art in canvasses or blank models of different figurines! I went in to paint on a canvas and was given all the tools and acrylic paint needed to get started. There is no time limit! So you can paint till you finish! There's music playing which helps you to be your best at painting. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable! Come in and express your art!

I booked this place for my daughter's 6th birthday and it turned out AMAZING!! We had close to 25 kids in the back private room! The staffs were very knowledgeable of what to do. I loved that the instructor will show the kids step-by-step to completing their masterpiece art work!! Kids were able to follow along, while allowing them to be creative with their own painting. Each child gets to bring home their painting at the end of the party! The parents still talks about the party! Best place to throw your little ones birthday party!!

I went there with my three year old for a perfect father daughter date! The place, in a strip mall, was unusually quiet for a Sunday. But that's good for me and my kid :) the staff was very friendly. This is how it works. We checked in and picked (my daughter) an item we wanted to paint. You lay for the item and They provide everything else. Paint, brush, apron...They even have high chairs. We dried the item and painted again and dried again. You can easily spend an hour. Not bad for the price. We would come again. They also do birthday parties. This place is also good for adults. They opened an year ago but I am sure they are gonna do great.

This place is great for artists! My daughter loves everything art and this studio was perfect for her. The worker was very kind when we walked in the door and explained everything well. You go in and pick what item you'd like to paint. There are 3 different shelves with different price points ranging from $15 at the bottom and up to $25 at the top. My 6 year old picked a canvas and they have little iPads that show a video step by step how to make a painting. I knocked down 1 star just because I think the price point is a little to high for what you get. This price is definitely for the experience because you can buy many of the items at micahels for a fraction of the cost. My daughter definitely had a blast, but this will be for special occasions only.

My son love this place. So, I'm giving it five stars. I asked him if he liked the ball pit or painting place better, and he responded with the painting place. If it was strictly my review, I might give four stars. I missed the paint that gets treated and is glossy. That sort of paint seems common in these painting places, but it's not here. I just missed the experience of anticipation of picking up the figurine when it was ready and seeing the final results. They use high quality acrylic paint. It does allow for painting canvases, rocks, and wood. They have a lot of options. So, that's a great positive. It's a clean and beautiful shop. The interior is welcoming. The staff and it might of been the owner I met was super friendly. This is also great because there is no clean up for parents. They give out aprons to protect cloths. This would be a great treat for a young student who has an A on a test or completed their chores for several weeks.

Group project was a huge hit!

A wonderful place to have a birthday party! They take care of everything and the party helpers are fantastic with the kids! So many wonderful themes to choose from for the canvas party - it was hard to choose just one! It was easy to book the party and the party room is already so colorful and spacious, the only thing to add is the party kids. The group project is so creative and unique - its a wonderful memento to take home as a reminder of all the friends that came to celebrate! Thank you for an out of this world party for my son's 6th birthday!

Can you bring your own item to paint or is it required to buy one of theirs?

Our pricing is by the item and it includes the item to paint and all supplies. We don’t charge a studio fee or a fee just for painting so the item must be purchased at the studio.

    What's the price range? Thanks

Our DiY walk-in price ranges from $15 to $64 based on the item chosen. The price includes the item and all supplies. We do not charge a studio fee or have time limit.

What's a working email address for contacting the Pleasanton location? I sent a request a week ago via the email listed on the website and I have yet to get a reply.

Kids 2+yrs are welcome for painting sessions at our studio. We’ve lots of different painting surfaces to choose from such as canvases, ceramics, rocks & unfinished wood items. We’re open for walk ins anytime during our business hours.

What kind of paint do they use? The water based kind? Washes off clothes easily or no? Thank you.

It was acrylic paint. They provide aprons and disposable gloves. And they have a drying station to dry your art work before you take it home.

Before I started this review, my son said "How many stars should we give art camp?" and when I…read moreasked how many he wanted to give, he emphatically said "5 Stars!" LOL the child has spoken! 5 stars it is! There are so many camps to chose from in the East Bay but what we have been loving about Aran's Art Camp is the intimate group size: there's no more than 10 kids per art camp and we've lucked out with an even smaller group during our time here. The camp is taught by a mix of Aran herself and her staff and they've been nothing but wonderful. My kiddo comes home from art camp every day bursting at the seams about everything he's worked on and learned (giving me safety tips about glass fusing and teaching me what a pinch pot is!) and he looks forward to going back each day. Each week is a different theme so if you wanted to sign up for multiple sessions, your child will definitely be working on something different each time. While the hours are 10-2, they offer before and after care for an additional fee which basically turns this into an all day camp if you were to maximize on the 9-3 aspect of it. There's a lot of half day camps out there so if you use their before and after camp, you get a good chunk of the day covered! Lastly, they go to the park every day after lunch to let them move around and get some sunshine and Fridays is pizza day! My kid said he would love to come back to art camp again next summer.

It's pretty quiet in here compared to other places which I love! Parking is super easy since it's in a plaza, the people that work at this studio are super friendly and nice, and they offer so many other activities - I saw a kids painting night happening before, they have glass fusing, etc. They also have an area in the back where it looks like they do most of the classes so the pottery painting is almost always available!!

We chose the paint-your-own pottery option, but they also offer so many other activities like candle making and canvas painting. There was a great variety of pottery to choose from, and we ended up picking a mix of bowls, mugs, and piggy banks. Ani was so lovely! She explained the entire process clearly, had color samples available, and literally provided every single tool you could need. The thing I loved the most was that they really let you take your time, and the atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for all ages. Even after they technically closed, they kept the shop open so we could finish our pieces, and we never felt rushed for even a second. They handled the firing, and we came back the following week to pick up our finished pieces. The colors came out so vibrant and perfect, and they even wrapped everything up for us!! It was my mom's birthday, and they surprised her with a free candle on the house, which was incredibly thoughtful. The staff is genuinely kind, supportive, and passionate, and I would absolutely choose to support this business over large, commercially owned art studios. We will definitely be coming back!!

The process is fairly simple, you go in and pick your ceramic pieces to paint. Each ceramic piece has a different cost, and then there is a fee charged on top of that per painter.
