I took my mom here during Restaurant Week for their 3-course offering. For appetizers, the Famous Annapolis Crab Dip stood up to its name, with ample crab and good taste. The Classic Calamari was okay; I appreciated that it wasn't overly seasoned which tends to happen at many places, but its texture was quite soft and not fried much at all. The 1/3 lbs Crab Cake Sandwich was solid. Much like the crab dip, there was plenty of crab and no lingering shells at all. The Maryland Red Crab Soup that is included with the sandwich was fairly underwhelming. The real star of the show was the Ultimate Steamer for One, which consisted of 1/2 lbs snow crab, 1/2 lbs shrimp, 1/2 lbs black mussels, 1 lbs neck clams, corn, potatoes, and sausage. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing. Nothing was overly salty, which is usually my issue with many seafood spots. We finished with a NY Cheesecake and a Triple Chocolate Cake. The cheesecake was a big hit, even though I'm not big on raspberry drizzles. On the other hand, we weren't as fond of the chocolate cake which was way too sweet. Been here a few times but only during happy hour. Service has always been welcoming and quick. I've never had to wait for a table here - we're normally seated as soon as we arrive and that's without needing to make reservations. The food is mediocre but I come back every time for the $1 oysters on the happy hour. I recently tried their gumbo (not on the happy hour menu) and it was sooo good - definitely recommend if you like gumbo. I will say, I dislike that they don't have Jameson here. Had to opt for an alternative Irish Whiskey that they carry which was a bit on the sweeter end and not my preference. Born and raised Maryland disappointed! I now live in Vegas and was very excited to hear that there was a seafood restaurant here owned by Marylanders. I had to come try it out. The decor is great.. All MD vibe so that was great. The young lady that greeted us just didnt give warm and fuzzies. She didnt seam happy to be at work. Our server was very nice (didnt catch her name). She at some point seemed to be the only server working and greeting so she was not able to be as attentive as a server should be. I ordered the crab dip. Now, coming from MD I expected a nice cheesy crab dip but it wasnt. The dip did have a lot of crab in it but the consistency was just not what I was looking for. They put the dip on the bread which I didnt like because it would ultimately make the bread soggy if you dont eat it right away. I asked our server if we can get the dip in a bowl with the bread on the side and she was very kind and got us a new order with the bread on the side. Very little seasoning in the dip. I added Old Bay and that helped the flavor but again, it just was not what I was looking for. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with the Old Bay chips. The chips had very little Old Bay on them. I added Malt Vinegar to try to make them better but it didnt work. The crab cake had very little flavor. There was not a lot of filler which of course is a good thing but very little lump meat. Unfortunately, it was just not what I am used to getting when I am back home in MD. The blue crabs were good however the sauces they offered were not good at all. The "Cajun" sauce was terrible. The only "sauces" that were offered to us were some sort of butter. When I asked if there was any mayonnaise based sauce she did say that she could bring us mayo, mustard and old bay so we can make our own sauce.. I am just baffled why a business that is owned and operated by people from MD wouldnt have a mayonnaise-based sauce on the menu. The prices were good but again, being born and raised in MD I was just expecting something different. I didnt order dessert but the dessert options did look good. When we left here we had to go to Sams to grab a few things and my granddaughter (who is an adult) said we should have just gotten a piece of pizza or hot dog from Sams and it would have tasted better and been cheaper.... Maryland native (Edgewater) that felt right at home :) I grew up catching and picking blue crabs and this place is the real deal. Our server was friendly and the Route One Apparel offerings were an excellent touch. The Annapolis crab dip was seasoned well, and the vegetable crab soup was divine. Was comparable to Olive Tree's crab pretzel in Glen Burnie. The crab cake platter and house-made chips are something I'd definitely order again. Overall, a fun place with lots to enjoy on the walls. At first sight this place just looked like a little bar with crappie food. After a little hesitation I decided to try the lobster grill cheese sandwich. This sandwich was AMAZING!! There was nice size pieces of lobster on a Texas toast with cheese. I wish the cheese was a little more cheesy and melty however it was still good. The service was great. The food came out fast and with a smile. The fried shrimp on the other had was not the best. With this place being called Maryland Crab Corner I expected the shrimp to fresh. I believe they were frozen from a box. The tast was ok but again I had better. What I realized is that this place specializes in crab. That is what everyone was ordering. Great value coming here. We started with the raw oysters, chargrilled oysters, boardwalk fries, and crab dip. Didn't care much for either of the oysters, but I did like the raw oysters more of the two. Dip was the best of the starters. Moved on to the AYCE crabs next. I'd say about 1/4 were already dead, but still good value. Some were really delicious; full of strong meat and had good eggs and poop. Food has been good every time I have been there. Decor is a bit dated and could use updating Service has been Okay, Not impressive. On the subject of service, I discovered after dining there on Wednesday that the wait staff took it upon himself to pad the tip. I had suspected this happening in the past but didn't keep the receipt. This time I did. While it is less than a dollar, it is the principal for me. Not going back to complain as the gas will cost more than the stolen change. This behavior results in the loss of a customer. I cannot recommend thieves to anyone! read more

My husband and I had reservations for two on Father's Day. We arrived right before our 7:00 pm reservation time. We were greeted and seated promptly by a friendly hostess. Our waitress came over and introduced herself and we placed our drink order: sweet tea and Diet Pepsi. She continued to check on us as we perused the menu. My husband chose the fried shrimp meal with two sides-hush puppies and Old Bay chips. The hush puppies were supposed to be sweet but they weren't. I ordered the mussels in garlic butter sauce-they came with bread. Our meals were delicious. Our waitress brought refills on our drinks and continued to check on us. It was a great way to celebrate Father's Day. We could hear ourselves talk as it wasn't noisy. I would recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't already. Really disappointed with the food here. The shrimps had no heads, were shrunk, dry, and tasted like those plastic-packed frozen ones from Sam's Club. The corn was almost stale, the salad looked old, and the calamari was so chewy it was hard to enjoy. For the price they charge, the quality is unacceptable -- it's expensive for what feels like frozen, reheated seafood. The servers, however, were good and very nice. They did their best, but unfortunately, the food quality didn't match their effort. I was not sure if this place was good because of the negative reviews but there was a groupon and I was still curious. Four stars, over 1300 reviews. That's San Diego, CA ratings. He said that they were all good, it was his favorite, suggested the shipwreck for $3.00 (all 3, shrimp, catfish, & oysters). Both sandwiches came with chips (very seasoned). My only critique is that some of the chips were a bit heavy handed. But my po'boy was really good. Hubby got the crab melt, at $13.99, buttery bread, outside, inside: no breading, just enough mayo, he said it was excellent. Our son got the kids meal, $5.99, 3 chicken tenders and fries ($1.50 extra -substitute). Our son loves chicken so he really liked it. The fries, skin on) were very good. The Blue Crab is AMAZING the seasoning they put on it is so scrumptious! We've made it a habit to order blue crab from this restaurant every other Friday. If you order the snow crab or the steamer dishes I would say maybe request just regular butter not the garlic butter it usually comes with. I never get the garlic taste...it's something I can't put my finger on, but not too tasty (sorry) and it's a pinkish color. The prices are reasonable considering where we live. read more

I am from Maryland, so this being a Maryland seafood place, I hope my food favorites are replicated as closely as possible. the crab cakes were very good - not too much jumbo lumps of crab in it, but very close to MD original crab cakes, like an 8 out of 10 in flavor and likeness. plus NO SHELLS IN EITHER ONE - they get bonus points for that. the hush puppies were phenomenal and the corn on the cob was good. the waitress comped me a free dessert for my birthday - nice - I got the cheese cake with raspberry sauce on it - very good. Being a former Marylander, I've been meaning to try Crab Corner for years. It's right around the street from my house, and I finally decided to give it a try during Restaurant Week. I was enticed by their special menu, but I ended up ordering something different. The atmosphere is rundown and feels like a person's basement more than a restaurant. The upholstery on the booths and chairs was torn, and there are random sports memorabilia from Maryland teams (and of course the Raiders and Golden Knights, because nobody wants to anger the locals)! This isn't a "nice" vibe type of place, which is fine for a seafood joint. This rag-tag looking restaurant had a good crowd at lunch. I did notice almost every customer was eating the fresh crab, so maybe that's what's good here, because my meal was terrible. My friend and I decided to get the hot crab dip appetizer, something that I used to eat all the time on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The version served here isn't very good. It tasted almost sour, with store-bought, massed produced bread rounds. We had to struggle to finish this. My friend ordered the shrimp po'boy with fries. The shrimp tasted good but the bread was, again, a huge disappointment. The fries were Boardwalk-style but poorly done and overcooked. It's hard to mess up fries, but these were bad. I ordered the Maryland crab cake, and it was a mushy mess. Just looking at my unappetizing photos makes me never want to eat a crab cake again, and it's one of my favorite dishes of all time. My lunch came with green beans and corn on the cob, both frozen and pathetically prepared. Even more insulting than the bad food were the high prices. When Crab Corner joined some other restaurants in extending their RW menu for another week, I came here for a late lunch. I went with the Annapolis crab dip on toasted baguette for the starter and the 1/3 pound crab cake sandwich for the main course. The sandwich comes with a cup of crab soup and chips. The server packed my key lime pie to go. A mix up in communication--my hearing was probably at fault. The soup was brought first and was quite good with a nice crab flavor. There were no pieces of crab but there were shredded bits in the soup. I enjoyed the crab dip but the baguette should have been toasted more as the bread folded from the weight of the crab dip. The dip was very good eating it with a fork when some fell on my plate or eating it on the bread. The sandwich was large. The crab cake was very good. There were slices of tomato and lettuce with the sandwich. The chips were a bonus. I ate the cheesecake when I got home and it was a perfect ending to a flavorful lunch. My server was Richard and he was excellent. At the end of the meal, he brought the bill in a standard holder. It had a QR code that you could scan and pay with a credit card or Apple Pay. Doing it this way allowed for a receipt to be emailed or sent by text. I like paying like this. It is so convenient. I was surprised how much I liked Crab Corner. I will be back. I've been here once before but it was years ago. My husband and I came to check out their lunch menu for Restaurant Week and I wasn't too impressed. There was only one server working and it got pretty busy, but she and the hostess did a good job of helping the customers out in a timely manner. We ordered the calamari and mozzarella sticks for the appetizers. Not bad, but nothing amazing. For the main, we both had lobster rolls. The bread was buttery and toasted nicely and they put huge lumps of lobsters in it. I couldn't finish it, it was too much food. Not bad, but the flavor was lacking. I felt like it needed more spice. For dessert we ordered the key lime pie and chocolate cake. Didn't even get to try it at the restaurant because we were full! Not my favorite restaurant week experience, but oh well! read more

My husband loves all of the TVs playing various sporting events. For me, I am willing to overlook it to eat here. The service is sit down. Employees were attentive on my most recent visit.
