Hubby and I went to the Crab Corner last night traveling through Las Vegas and had an amazing dinner. Not the place if you're looking for ambiance but if you're looking for fresh delicious seafood at reasonable prices this is definitely the place I had oysters on the half shell and hubby and I shared some grilled oysters and both were fresh and delicious. If you're craving $1 oysters for happy hour this is the place to be. Oysters aren't the most fanciest or sweetest but for $1 it's definitely a steal. They have crabs steamed with a spice seasoning. The price of the crab will vary at times. There are times when I came and it was BOGO or $4 for an XL crab, but overall decent price. There are other seafood selections as well. Order the catfish with hush puppies and garlic bread. I didn't really like the cat fish. but the garlic bread & hush puppies were tasty. I truly love hush puppies & I know a good hush puppy when I taste one and there's were pretty good. I definitely enjoyed the Annapolis crab dip & old bay chips. Didn't care for the Poboy or the non-crunchy old Bay chips that came with that meal. I assumed they were a bit stale so I didn't even eat them. The service time was standard for a seafood restaurant & the service was good. The best part of the meal was the Annapolis crab dip. Valentine's menu looks great. Barramundi on the menu hmm owner says it's been discontinued for years after we order. What a joke. 1st night in Vegas I stayed at my friends home which is like 15 min from the strip or so...I wanted something local and craved seafood and decided to give this place a try. I was hesitant at 1st but decided what the hell... I'm VERY glad I did....I ordered the Crab dip with pretzel, order of wings, steak topped with crab cake and 2 sides. I also got to try some of the mussels my friend ordered....For the sides I ordered rice and toasted bread....I wish they had better sides but that's what I opted for.... The crab dip and crab cake were one of the best I have had and it's shocking because I was in the middle of the desert. So fresh you can taste bits of shell in the dip. When you order the dip you have the option of which type of bread/chips. When they bring it to the table it through me off, because I was expecting it served in a bowl, but it's poured all over the pretzel. It looks odd but taste delicious! Wings were pretty good, served piping hot and a nice seasoning blend. Mussels were all tasty as well. The broth was a bit salty but not horrible. I just think there is a place in Atlanta that has their broth beat.... Delicious though but just a side note. The steak was a nice treat after a 4 hr flight but the sides were totally random. They need to add fries or Mac N Cheese or maybe a pasta salad or something. They did have Potato Salad but I didn't wanna risk wasting a side not knowing how it would taste. Well to be honest, I really am being generous with 3 stars but overall the food was good but not great.The ambience was ok with the decor but the seat left a lot to be desired. I had ordered the bowl lobster bisque, which tasted good. But for the size of the bowl contained very little lobster. Also came out as room temp. So when I got to the bottom of the bowl it was cold. For my entree I ordered 2 crabs cakes and 2 sides which are included I picked the chips which turned out great. Side two was garlic bread which also was good. Now for the crab cakes the taste was very good but the texture not so much. Very soggy when cut into and mushy. Although my friend had fish and chips. Talked very highly of the dish. I had some of her hush puppies and was pleasantly surprised. Very moist on the inside and crunchy on the crust. Very flavorful. Now the cost of the meal was a bit expensive for the quality. The customer service was lacking and I had to ask for silverware to eat my meal with. This is a sit down restaurant. Overall I would try it again but not order the lobster bisque. read more

Though they don't have a customers when we came in the other day,we waited for at least 5 mins because the lady on the front was on the phone and looks like she don't care and I know she's not talking to a customer cuz I can hear their conversations. Friends recommended going, especially since it was a place for Ravens fans to watch the football game. Our waitress really should not be in that occupation. Most orders were wrong. My lobster bisque was lukewarm. Refills of our drinks had to be begged for. She never asked if we wanted anything else. I've been craving for a good lobster roll. The lobster roll, tasty, flavorful however way too cold for my liking. I think I may have bitten off a piece of ice. It's like the lobster came off the freezer pre-mixed and sandwiched simultaneously. Would have been nice if it was thawed a few minutes. The bread was delicious and definitely special. I had been to crab corner once before years back, and we were not disappointed. When my mother in law wanted us to try this place we figured we would be getting at least something close to what we got years back since we had good memories from it. I'm sad to say that it was so bad this time. The crab cakes and crab cake sandwich were eaten in the restaurant since my mother in law was starving, and my husband decided to eat with her. My daughter and I ordered ours to go since we weren't too hungry. We came home and honestly, it was just bad all around. The flavor of the lobster bisque was not there AT ALL. I got 2 pieces of lobster, the broth had no taste but the sherry that overpowered it with a hint of tomato. No other spices, no other anything that made me want to even keep giving it a try after about 4 spoonfuls. I trashed it! It also didn't even taste homemade to me. The onion rings were so weirdly salty.... I don't even know what happened to them either in the kitchen, or in transit, I also trashed those. My daughter had the chicken fingers with fries. She didn't even finish them. Though they give you really nice chicken strips, they're over cooked and the breading has no seasoning either. My daughters fries were over cooked, soggy and tasted like oil. I'm torn, this location wasn't extremely busy so I cannot blame it on the atmosphere of the business that our food came out bad. The server apologized while we were waiting because she said they burnt our crab cakes and she requested they be remade, and even gave us a discount for the inconvenience. The happy hour menu is a good, decent price for their options. Is it worth it? No. Not for me, not at all. I felt so ripped off, I'm honestly surprised that this location has really good reviews on "flavor". Either they were having an off day, or this is really how they operate every single day and the guests here are only getting the boils that I read so much about. The Maryland crab soup was a highlight... spicy, lots of veggies and crab. Let's talk about the crab cake... when I travel outside of Delmarva, I never get the "Maryland Crab Cake" cause it never is. Its a little strange when you go to a seafood place and the best thing you have to eat is a beef slider. I'll be honest, maybe I just ordered the wrong items but I did not enjoy the food here. I started with a cup of lobster bisque. It was lacking in the rich buttery taste and lobster pieces that enjoy in most lobster bisque. I then moved on to the crab pretzel from the happy hour menu. I took one bite and knew I'd be taking it home to hubs. The pretzel was way too bland and the combination of cheese and crab was not a good mix for me. My husband actually couldn't finish it at home as well. I moved on to the beef slider which is priced for one from the happy hour menu. It was juicy and small but good. Three trips in a row over the period of six weeks, no Jumbo or XXL male steamed crabs available. It feels like a bait and switch. Advertise one thing, deliver another. We even called ahead on one of these trips and were told they had XXLs. Shady. And the servers could not care less. This used to be a great place to come for crabs but not anymore.
