Started out with SLOWWWWWW service. After taking drink orders it took over 15 minutes to get water. Then about 30 to get a bar drink. After being seated by 7:15 and ordering happy hour drink it was 8 and happy hour was over at 8. Food was brought out slow but not as slow as the drinks. They just have been short on help (although I counted at least 6 ppl on the floor). The food was just ok. Haven't found anything yet that come close to beating The Boiling Crab. read more

Yesterday, my friends and I arrived there 30 minutes before closing at 10:30pm on a Friday. They would not serve us because the young girl in front claimed they were closing early that day. Service was so horrible. But she still got tipped over 20%. It wasn't a slow day and there was one server for Memorial Day when there was a full staff of people??? Our server took our order and wrote everything down and still got it mixed up. The first minor incident that we didn't really care about, was that the peach tea was just regular sweet tea given to us. They charge you $2 more for headless shrimp but I never get headless anywhere else so I knew I ordered shrimp with head on. Our food came with headless shrimp and when I asked the server if that was ours, she immediately had a nasty attitude like "yeah????!". I told her I ordered shrimp with the head on and her mood became so sour that before I could think of what to do, she repeatedly got in our faces saying "you want me to change it?!" twice! She came back and apologized and tried to explain herself but I couldn't relate for her choices of good customer service. They changed it and it was all good. she said she was going to take off the extra charge of the headless shrimp but my friend went up to pay for it before I could and didn't check the ticket. She still charged us for the headless shrimp and when my boyfriend took it back to confront her, she had to reimburse us with her own personal tips. She only wanted to give us a dollar when it is $2 MORE and each pound? (Which was 2 pounds). OH. The headless shrimp is most definitely frozen shrimp. Don't let them fool you for that $2 of labor. They left a shrimp from the first bag in the new bag and if definitely was NOT the same as the fresh head on shrimps. Taste and everything was off. Pros I guess: Oysters were good and big but not too big. The flavor of the food was good but the meat of the boil was a little bland. The owner was great. Nice. Checked on us and everything. The restaurant either needs a staff meeting or a new staff because one server with an attitude is not the way to go. read more

I really hate to be the one to leave a bad review but, I feel that people should know that the food here is terrible. Not sure if it was just a bad day but I would NOT recommend this to my worst enemy (especially if you are a seafood lover.) The customer service is great, the waitress was very attentive to me even had great music but the overall food was bland, no flavor nor seasoning taste. The crab was edible with a lot of garlic butter but, the sauce wasn't even tasteful. The shrimp was horrible, had a bad frozen after taste and a bit under cooked. I was very disappointed because this place very close to my house so I would've loved to make this my favorite/new seafood spot instead of driving to Arlington. Yet, I would rather make that drive then eat here ever again. read more

I went here on a lunch date with my kids.. The establishment was near empty but I went early & on a weekday. The place looked really nice, even had a patio for outside enjoyment. The staff greeted us as we came in very friendly & prompt. I ordered 1lb of Snow Crab, & 1lb of Shrimp (head on). We were delighted with the new ownership and staff at this place...I got delicious fried oysters and they let me substitute hush puppies for French Fries...the new owner visited the table as did the manager and our waiter was outstanding! This place is under new owner/management and new items have been added to the menu. They have happy hour until 8 PM which is awesome! We had some amazing appetizers, Crab Rangoon and Shrimp Toast. They were both so delicious we'll definitely order them again. Also had their new Chicken and Bacon Fried Rice which was also very very good. The chicken was fried in a light batter and was very tender and had a slight Asian flavor and topped off with huge chunks of bacon, so unique and tasty! We also had 1 pound of shrimp in a Cajun butter sauce. It came with plastic gloves to wear while peeling the shrimp which saved my hands from getting messy. The flavor was to die for! We just came in for our second visit to Boiling King Crab. The crab legs are amazing! My husband ordered the garlic butter seasoning and my daughter got the mild garlic butter. I ordered the combo fried basket with calamari and catfish. The fried food is equally amazing as the crab legs. The service is outstanding. The soft drinks had lots of fizzy. The food was great but service was lacking. The manager clearly is the hardest working person. We have been here twice and the gumbo is amazing. The first time we had a female waitress and she was great, super friendly and attentive. The second time we visited, the hostess (wearing sweat pants) needs to learn how to communicate and improve her customer service. I think management should also ban cell phone usage from the staff when not on break. If the gumbo and drinks weren't so good we likely wouldn't return but for those two reasons we most likely likely will. read more

I have eaten here a couple of times and those times were good. Usually their sauce is great, it's usually the best part...but not today. I got 3 pounds of crawfish and a half pound of shrimp and it was overcooked, so much so that the shrimp were just mushy. Also today the sauce tasted like seasoned oil-it tasted like I got leftovers from the day before because there is no way this stuff was fresh. It was disgusting, money wasted and I am not happy. I should have eaten it there so I could have them to taste this mess but I took it home and I'm not driving all the way back there, but I do know that I won't visit again. I am definitely a crab lover. Some friends of mine wanted me to try this place. What a wonderful place. OMG, The king crab was awesome. We started with the appetizer, egg rolls and wings. Very, very good!! The egg rolls were good. I fell in love with this place. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Nice clean place. The bar was off the chain. I will revisit again. I reserved this restaurant for my son's 16th birthday celebration on April 02, 2021. The reason that I choose this establishment is because they were the only one's that would allow me to make reservations on such a short notice. Well at least I thought we had reservations because upon arrival, I was told that the area that was reserved for my son's 16th birthday celebration was no longer reserved because they had become very busy and decided to use the area that was suppose to be reserve for me, to sit other customers. Then it even gets worse, even though I had called and reconfirmed the reservations there was only one waitress to serve over 40 people in my party. The food orders were incorrect, cold and just plain disgusting. The final act that brought my son's 16th birthday celebration to a complete disaster was when the cooks decided to leave and stop making the orders that had been placed by people in the party, which meant that some people never received their food and their orders had been placed for over and hour. The were no apologies given to one single person, not even my son. I would NOT bring my DOG back to this establishment to eat anything not even a bone! read more
