Stayed at the Wyndham Grand in Clearwater Beach. We passed this place several times while walking in the area. It looked like it might have a great view of the sunset. Lots of outdoor seating so it was a win for one of the nights. We asked for a seat close to the railing so we could see the water and sunset closely. The upstairs hostess told us we couldn't had the table that provided that because we were only 2 people and it was for her larger parties (6chairs). Disappointing start at first since that was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant. Food was pretty good. We had the coconut shrimp ($11) appetizer and famous clam chowder soup ($6). For our meals we had the steam bucket which went at market price ($27) it had muscles, crab, clams and shrimp with 2 sides of your choice. Also we ordered the key west trio ($22 I Wasn't a big fan of it so unfortunately I sent it back and went with grouper bites with fries ($14 on app menu) they were delicious . It was the 2nd time I had grouper bites since being in Clearwater . They must be a popular dish. Jim was our waiter and he was awesome. Went I apologized about not enjoying my dish he fixed it right away with no hesitation. Thanks so much ! Food was soon good. There was 8 of us and the service was awesome. I have a specific food allergy that prevents me from being able to digest any kind of meat proteins other than seafood. I informed the server of this when we ordered and we found a meal that would work with my dietary needs. When we got the food, I took a big bite of the green beans and realized that they were cooked with bacon. When we informed the waiter that the green beans had bacon, she gave a really blase response of, "oh yeah, the green beans have bacon". As if I was supposed to be aware of this. When I politely reminded the waiter that I cannot process meat products, she sarcastically responded with, "oh no, do I need to call an ambulance". Her tone really came off as though I was making my digestive issues up. Really don't recommend this place if they can't accommodate a pretty common dietary restriction, whether it is religious, ideological, or medical. read more

We were warmly greeted by several employees and checked on often. We ordered the crab spinach dip which was just okay and questionable if it even had crab in there. Fish on both main dishes was quite dry and over-seasoned. Husbands order came out wrong. Put waiter promptly fixed the mistake which was appreciated. Came here last night for dinner with my family and was blown away. I was a little skeptical of the bad reviews but I couldn't disagree more this place was amazing. The food was super fresh and delicious, my daughter who never eats seafood was blown away. Our waitress Stacy was amazing and made the experience that much better, she was super attentive and very sweet. (It would have been helpful had the hostess explain the differences between floors when we arrived - 1st is bar and outside dining, 2nd appeared to be inside dining and 3rd was open air but inside. Super great place. Ate dinner last night at the bar, our bartender Jacob (I think) he was on the third floor. Super great guy! Helped us around the menu with apps and entree. The crab spinach dip was great, not too fishy. I had the shrimp Alfredo which was really good, I'm typically picky with my Alfredo but was great! My boyfriend got a strip which was good too, there was some seasoning on it but needed just a little more too it. Overall great staff, they help each other out and friendly. Wasn't really sure if this was a place for us from the reviews but we really liked the location and open air upstairs dining area overlooking the pier and ocean so we decided to give it a try for lunch. A couple downfalls: there isn't any parking for the restaurant, it is all metered with a 30 minute limit so you have to keep going back. We didn't think it would be that big of a deal but it took a long time to get our food, at a relatively bit very busy time in mid afternoon. With almost an hour before we got our food, we paid the meter three times. That was a little annoying. Otherwise, we were pleasantly surprised by the food. Decided to come to Crabby's for lunch after the Calypso Queen cruise in the afternoon. Seated on the 3rd floor per our request and had a nice table overlooking the harbour. The server was no where in site and came only after 10 minutes and the place was not full. Ordered our drinks which were delivered after 5 minutes. Ordered our mains and enjoyed the view. 15 minutes later our orders arrived not exactly piping hot. I ordered another Heineken and I watched the bartender place it on the bar for pickup and it sat there for at least 5 minutes getting warm in the meantime. Eventually our server figured it out and brought the beer to the table. My wife had the Grouper tacos and I had the crispy fish and chips. My wife's tacos were good but skimpy on the fish. My fish was limp as a noodle hardly crisp as advertised in the menu. 3 pieces so portion size was good. Chips seasoned properly. To sum it up lunch was ok the server was struggling so nothing to bring us back unless we are in area in the area which we won't be. read more

I came in on business and she was crazy busy, accepted yet another customer very graciously (not complaining at all to the hostess) and even let me know that she would not neglect me as a customer. Well let me tell all that come to Clearwater Beach to make sure you go to this very laid back seafood restaurant and ask for Leslie! This was my first time here and I travel ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, eat in all the big cities like LA, Chicago, NY, Atlanta, Boston, and have NEVER, ever, had such service! She went as far as to climb on the bar to retrieve a fresh bottle of Bacardi (and not give me well liquor like most places would have) to make sure I had what I ordered!!! Hopefully the owners monitor YELP and read the reviews. As for the food and the chefs, the cajun grouper was awesome! A big THANKS to all of the staff, especially Leslie, for making my dinner extremely enjoyable.
