this place came highly recommended by our uber driver and i am SO glad we checked it out. the food was incredible. we started with the grouper basket, and it was some of the best grouper i've had. my husband isn't sure about fish, but he wanted to try it and he loved it. i also got the key west grilled combo (grilled shrimp and mahi-mahi with key lime honey mustard and conch fritters), and my husband got fried shrimp. i can put down a lot of food, and the platter did me in. loved the fries and my husband really enjoyed the coconut rice. would definitely go back. unfortunately, our server wasn't awesome but it seemed like she might have been busier on the inside than outside read more

We were looking for a place to have some fresh oysters and we decided to eat at Crabby's Dockside. The place is very nice and the atmosphere is very laid back and family oriented. It was late and we decided to eat outside. Our waiter was very nice and friendly, he kept on checking at our table constantly. He answered my menus questions and he did the best he could. The food was very good, I ordered a dish with clams, shrimp, crab legs and cole slaw. We didn't wait so long for the food. My mom ordered her oysters and she was very happy. We were recommended to try Crabby's by a local Uber driver but it was not as good as I thought it would be. The restaurant is right by the beach. They have options for the guest to choose whether they wanted to sit indoor with AC or outdoor. As soon as my friends and I walked in, we were greeted by the waiter and he got us a table right away. Our waiter didn't look too happy and the service was just okay. As we were looking through the menu, we ordered an appetizer and three other entrees. It was our first meal of the day and usually when I am hungry, everything will taste delicious but it didn't satisfy my appetite at all. The food portions came out big and we didn't really finish all of our foods. The three entrees we ordered were shrimp pasta, fish, and a fish sandwich. Appetizer was fried calamari. The food was decent besides the pasta. It was loaded with cheese and pasta except for a few pieces of shrimp. All the entrees were loaded with 85% carbs and probably 15% seafood. Giving this a 5 star rating it has everything hands down. If your looking to sit and relax after a day on the beach here's your place. Great cold beer and a great view to watch the sunsets. We had no intentions of ending up here and were having a hard time finding somewhere for dinner since we decided a little later to eat. I asked how that worked and she said that they will keep the kitchen open until everyone has been served. Then she realized there wasn't really an hour wait and we were the only ones on the list. Our buzzer went off just as I had walked back to the car to get my husband and baby. We were seated outside with a few other tables and waited on in a reasonable amount of time. I let our server know of my food restrictions but the dish came out with dairy on it anyways so she had to go back and have them make a new one. We lucked out because she left us the wrong one so my husband could eat. We ended up getting a whole other meal, which was the Key West Grilled Combo and had a ton of leftovers! The restaurant was empty on our floor though, and the kitchen was up there so who knows. I wasn't a fan of the grouper bites, they were chewier than I wanted. We sat on the third floor and the views were spectacular. We started with the fried grouper bites and they were delicious. We also got the white sangria and it was very good. For my main course I got the grouper Florentine and my husband got the blackened grouper. We both ordered salads before our meals and never got them, but that's okay. My husband loved his grouper. I thought mine was just alright. The spinach and artichoke dip on top of it tasted a little bit like plastic but when I scraped the topping off, it was pretty good. Amazing food and service! Amaris was sweet and attentive. We started with the Crab Mac n Cheese which was creamy and delicious. We made a combo of Fire Grilled Bairdi crab, fried grouper, and coconut shrimp. The Bairdi crab was the best crab we have ever had! The seasoning on the grouper was perfect. My husband doesn't normally like coconut shrimp and exclaimed how much he liked them. We topped it off with peanut butter pie and key lime pie. The third floor is for those who like rooftop-like restaurants. Their menu is full of seafood...from crabs, which they are famous for, to shrimp, mussels, and wonderful fresh fish. However you may also find chicken, steak, salads and soups. There is something for everyone. Our waitress Stacy was fabulous! She definitely knows how to treat customers. Yes, the decor is a little gimmick-y. But the service is good, the view and location are great, and the food is awesome. It was some of the best food we had on our trip! We went to Crabby's the first night that we arrived in Clearwater. We were hungry so I asked for first available seating and wish that I would have asked for the upper level so that we had a view of the water and sunset. We sat outside on the patio and it was very loud with all of the traffic driving by that evening. Our waitress Bailey was wonderful. Very pleasant and attentive.
