Second time coming here and it didn't disappoint. We ordered shrimp and fish tacos. Both were tasty but I liked the shrimp better. They kinda lacked flavor but the salsa made it good. Service was quick and friendly. I'd come again

A proper meal for a breezy sunny afternoon in Coronado.

Ordered a birria, grilled fish, Baja shrimp, and a tri tip taco. They were each delicious and fresh. My favorite if I had to choose one was the grilled fish. The dish was so tender and flaky. They're well garnished and the flavors all combine to make you wish you had ordered just one more. Paired with a modelo chelada and some great outdoor people watching. This is a spot I'll be returning to for sure.

Best Shrimp and Fish tacos I've had in a long time! Maybe it was the atmosphere. Maybe it was because I was starving. But these tacos absolutely hit the spot! And the true surprise and delight was the Elote. It was seasoned perfectly. This is such a great spot to grab a few tacos and take in the ocean air. I highly recommend it the next time you're visiting Seaport Village.

Tasted as expected for this being a Coronado taco spot. The quesadilla was nice and crisp and the Baja shrimp had nice flavors but it's not anything crazy spectacular. Admittedly I do love the storefront with the mural. Was a nice hangout spot, but don't expect to have a life changing epiphany with the food.

Overdue review for Crack Taco Shop in Coronado. Limited street parking only. There are other locations but this was my first ever to eat any Crack Taco and glad this one in Coronado is newest one. Outdoor patio seating which is also pup friendly. Service from the staff was helpful, friendly and nice. The vibrant colors of the wall murals depicting traditional Mexican culture: dia de Muerto, Folklore flowers was a nice touch and made for a cool vibe and nice ambiance while dining outdoor. Orange Ave gets crowded with locals and tourists often times all the major restaurants in this street gets so booked up, that sometimes you just want something casual as you're on the go with sightseeing and shopping. This taco shop offers great food in a casual atmosphere and is approachable for solo diners and families and dog friendly. Great addition to this area of Coronado. Ordered a carne asada quesadilla for my pup and battered fish tacos for myself. My pup liked the shredded beef with cheese quesadilla. I was really interested in some veggie tacos or nachos, both NOT offered :( The fish tacos were topped with pickled red onions and added Zest to a tasty and could possibly be an addicting habit just like the illegal drug crack, which I preface to say I've never tried and don't condone. What is legal is getting addicted to these tacos at Crack Taco!! Recommend Recommend

Coronado is such a cute place. This is a small taco shop on Orange Ave, so very convenient. We came in Mother's Day and there was no wait and we got a table. We each got 2 battered fish tacos and they came out fairly quickly. We both enjoyed our visit, customer service, and views. The price wasn't too either. The tacos were very good and excellent presentation. Would absolutely come back and recommend!

Cute place with fun music. Outdoor seating with bright lighting at night and a cute mural. Friendly staff. Quick service. Got the Tri-Tip taco and the battered fish taco. Both are super yummy!

Crackafornia Burrito and a Crack Tri-Tip Taco. And Jarritos to drink.

The food tasted amazing. The service was quick and the server was nice. The ambiance is a nice vibe and it's a pretty hole in the wall place with good food.

Saw this place opened a few months ago and wanted to try!! It's in a convenient location on the south of orange, a few blocks from the Del. Got the birria taco (pretty small/was ok), the quesadilla & the burrito (both good). Prices are pretty similar to the Clayton's burritos. Good for takeout/service was pretty quick.

Came the day after Christmas and the service and food were impeccable. I had the surf and turf burrito (sans pico & cabbage!) and it was the best I've ever had. My partner had the bacon breakfast burrito & he equaled my sentiments on it. Give it a shot - you won't be disappointed.

Delicious a little spicy for wife but great for me. 3 - grilled fish tacos for me that were excellent and then to fish tacos for the wife. Oh and she got a side of beans.

The food was good. The only thing I can say about the price point is that two tacos were the same price of guacamole and chips. Save the money stick to the tacos it is not worth $12 guacamole. Just order two additional tacos instead, for the price.

I cannot believe this place has anything below 5 stars. It's so good, we went back for seconds. Order the Tri-tip whatever you do!! (That's what they are known for!) The Baja shrimp tacos are also delicious. You really can't go wrong here!

Taco Tuesday special apparently not applicable in Coronado.

This is the very first pity 5 stars I've ever done. I didn't order any food nor any drinks. So to…read moregive it anything less than five stars is completely unfair. The service was excellent so that's all I'm going off of. The menu did look pretty fire though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot cause for all intents and purposes, the other people in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying the food! But anyways... I'm a skillet cookie connoisseur. Any place that has a skillet cookie, I'm going there SOLEY to order it. If I ever get married, instead of having cake, my guests will be having skillet cookies for dessert instead. Some might say I love skillet cookies even more than Scottie Scheffler. My love for skillet cookies runs deeper than the Mariana trench and I've been to more than (at least) 11 restaurants to exclusively try them out. With that out of the way... I'm horrified to report this is the worst skillet cookie I've ever had in my entire life. It somehow felt overcooked, yet undercooked at the same time. It was also like they cooked it at an angle. Because it awkwardly occupied 3/4ths of the skillet. It had the consistency of a cake but the taste of a cookie? It was like they couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to make a cake or a cookie. So instead, they decided to half bake something that was in between. I couldn't believe it. It was also completely lacking in the chocolate chip department. All in all, this skillet cookie had a worse performance than Michael Jordan during his high school varsity tryouts. I'll admit it too... I completely lied to the waitress when she came over and asked me how the cookie was. Instead of telling her the truth, I gave her two thumbs up and said, " it's good!".... It was not good. It was terrible! I'm a coward.

The concept of the open windows is really cool and gives the place a nice atmosphere…read more Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland and, in my opinion, not worth the $21 price tag. The burger wasn't the worst burger I've ever tasted, but was drenched in mustard and grease. The fries were bland and burnt, and the fish and chips had virtually no seasoning or flavor. Our server was sweet and somewhat attentive. She checked in right after bringing our food and then we didn't see her again until we were done eating and out of drinks. I'm not saying I wouldn't recommend giving it a try, but at that price point, I expected better quality food.

So many military traditions to be aware of and I appreciate it. It's like walking into a museum of military patches, mugs, pictures and paraphernalia all around. That said, the space can feel a bit chaotic, especially given its size. What you can typically expect is that this isn't the kind of bar where you go to quietly relax. Most of the time it's better suited for a festive mood. It gets packed, movement around the bar can be tight, and finding a stool or seat isn't always easy if you're hoping to sit back and unwind. The house rules--such as the "no phones at the bar" policy--can also feel more like part of the spectacle than a charming quirk, depending on your mood. For example, the bartender may hand you drinks, a bill to sign, a receipt, a clipboard, a pen, and your phone after grabbing it to tap the register for payment--all while you're squeezed between seated patrons, processing your order. In moments like that, it can almost feel like part of the act because it can be quite difficult to keep that phone or any of the other items off of the limited bar space: the chaos fuels the energy of the crowd and the hope for a free round of drinks. If that's the kind of atmosphere you're in the mood for, you'll likely have a great time. The décor, however, is outstanding. The model planes are impressive, and the historic aviation vibe adds a lot to the experience. The Maverick "Hard Deck Bar" from the film was modeled after the I Bar, and there's an enduring urban legend that some people hoped the movie prop would remain as a real bar on base after filming--though it was dismantled. That connection probably drives additional curiosity and visits to the original I Bar, even though it's a different place. Because it's located on a military base, the crowd tends to include regulars passing through on assignment rather than tourists. In fact, it isn't really set up for tourist traffic. So if you happen to get access with someone who has a military ID--and you arrive while the bar is actually open--you'll likely enjoy the experience. But if you're simply looking for a relaxed place to sit and have a drink, you may prefer one of the bars off base where there's a bit more room to breathe.
