We have locally ordered pizza from High Tide for years and have been pleased with the quality. However the last 2 times have been very poor. This pizza crust was very low quality that seemed too thin with poor taste. The previous order was a Buffalo chicken and was way too spicy. We liked their Buffalo chicken before with the proper amount of spice but this was over the top. Not sure if the crust change is from trying to cut corners and reduce cost or just a poor recipe. It's a really good pizza owned and operated by local business mostly to go and delivery. The slices are large. The toppings are quality. The crust is delicious. The service is fast and friendly. I'm met the owner of Tom. Really nice guy. He supports local military and high school and other avenues also. He also carries Happy Dad hard seltzer, which is a bonus and the place is a mix between a pizza place and a nice open wine shop. I would come back again. They have deals on slices of pizza with a soda and they do sponsor local youth programs and are very friendly. We stumbled across High Tide while looking for a quick dinner after exploring Coronado. The sandwich was pricey, but was a light dinner split between two people (and a bag of chips). The ingredients were all fresh and the sandwich was super tasty, the bread was incredible and soft but not soggy. The service was great and everyone we interacted with was super nice. The only downside is the alcohol, while they have an excellent selection with tons of local options, it's a "store" and you can't drink anything purchased on the premises. Tonight we ordered a pizza half for the parents and asked in the special instructions for half cheese. Which we've done before. When we got our order the pizza was all our toppings and one side no cheese. When I called (bc my kids are picky and just wanted cheese pizza) they immediately sent a replacement. Upon delivery I talked to someone in charge and could see how much they cared, pointing out that they have customers that don't have cheese, and maybe an employee read it differently. The worst part is they have only 4 tables outside and despite having loads of empty space in their restaurant, you have to sit outside and where it was 58 degrees. Inside they have this enormous table with t- shirts for sale and they could easily have two to three tables.
