This spot was bustling on a Saturday morning! And once I knew what I was looking at, I saw people carrying their to-go bags all over town. I made a last-minute change in what I was going to order when I saw they had toasted challah buns AND a fried green tomato breakfast sando. The eggs, bacon, pimento, and fried green tomatoes were all really good but the challah bun was very dry which was disappointing. I wound up just eating the inside and leaving the bun. Still I really like their concept so I'll have to try a burrito or a bowl next time and definitely get some tater tots based on the reviews I read after the fact.

Cracked Eggery is always a solid choice. I love their sandwiches and burritos, but what really keeps me coming back is the crack sauce. I'm not usually a saucy person in the morning, but this sauce is the exception. It is so good that it's honestly one of the main reasons I order from here. The salsa or sauce that comes with their burrito is also phenomenal. It adds the perfect amount of flavor without overpowering everything else. When I stopped by today, the place was unusually quiet, which honestly made me a little sad because it's usually buzzing with energy in the mornings. I hope they picked up later in the day because the lively vibe is part of what makes Cracked Eggery such a fun stop. The service is always great, and the staff keep things moving smoothly without ever making it feel rushed. Between the food, the sauces, and the usual upbeat ambiance, Cracked Eggery has definitely earned its five stars from me.

I came here on a Saturday morning to grab a quick breakfast and Cracked was super satisfying! I thought the prices of the sandwiches were a little high especially for breakfast. I paid $24 for a sandwich, tots and tip. Service was fairly quick! Decent amount of seating inside plus a few outside tables. My southern charm sandwich had pimento cheese, a fried green tomato, and sweet bacon and was really delicious! My egg was perfectly cooked. The tots were crisp and had lots of garlic and parm topping.

I drove 30 minutes just to get to Cracked Egged, and it was absolutely worth it. My order came out fast, and the sandwich? Incredible. Honestly, it might be the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Perfectly made and full of flavor. The person working today (not sure of his name) was welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. I also really liked the outdoor waiting area near the farmers market. It was a nice, relaxing spot while I waited. Can't recommend this place enough. I'll definitely be back.

Very hearty breakfast sandwich. Didn't love the sauce but the sandwich was very filling. The service was quick but I was also the only person in line. I sat outside and enjoyed the day with the outdoor seating. Will happily return to try another sandwich oh and the OJ is AMAZING!

We tried the Cracked Eggery after a morning at the Zoo. They specialize in breakfast sandwiches. It is kind of like a fast food model because you order at the counter and they box up everything to-go. But there are tables and places to sit and dine in. I had the Pauline Cicero and my husband had the Bubby. We split a little box of salted tater tots. Everything was very good! I liked the unique sandwich combos. The challah buns are really delicious and fluffy. We were still a little hungry afterwards. We probably should have ordered more tots.

The perfect on the go egg sandwich!! Reminds me a lot of Kasama in Chicago! I went with the animal and cinnamon sugar tots. Both were fantastic!! Their nitro cold brew is fantastic!! There are plenty of tables inside and out. Plus a water fountain available to refill water bottles!!

A great brunch spot in Cleveland Park! The service is very quick, and the sandwiches and bowls are awesome. I highly recommend the tots. There isn't a ton of seating, so plan accordingly!

First time trying Cracked Eggery l had the mayor which consists of bacon, eggs, cheese and cracked sauce (mustard based sauce). Overall, it was delicious. The brioche bun was perfectly squishy and buttery.

Food was good, the cracked sauce was fire asf. Food came out in like 10 mins. And the music here is great would come back.

I added garlic! Do you see parm? I don't! No garlic but my own either.
    Allison M.

I got the garlic parm tater tots and there was literally almost no parm or garlic. I added my own but I shouldn't have too. The place is hanging finical issues but that's no excuse to go skimpy! That's a sure fire way to go out of business. I added garlic and parm at home. The service was was meh too because I asked for extra garlic avd parm avd got the opposite. The AC was way too high. I liked this place but after today no more

We came here on a week day and both really enjoyed our food. We didn't know what to expect but ordered a dish with Brussels sprouts and the Rancheros Cucamonga, which we would totally order again. The Rancheros Cucamonga had very fresh tater tots that were crispy and the flavors of the salsa were on point - totally fresh as well as the cheese, avocado, and eggs. Everything about the dish was perfect except that it was pretty heavy. The eggs were over medium but there was some yolk running. But I love that this place has healthy options and also some unhealthier options like the Buffalo chicken and other types of sandwiches. But the staff member was right - everything here seems to be delicious! So glad we were able to try to this place today. You pay first and then pick up your order and there's outdoor seating (4 tables) and indoor seating (about 4 tables as well). Prices are pretty reasonable!

I decided to venture off to Cracked Eggery in Cleveland Park on this beautiful Sunday. Parking was kind of tricky but worth it. It is down from the Zoo, right across the street from MoMs grocery. FYI this place does not take cash! Getting to the sandwich. I ordered the Abe Froman with chicken sausage. The sandwich portion is as big as an actual burger. So you share if you are not a big eater. It was quite tasty and flavorful. I ordered a side of garlic parm truffle tots, which was also good and garlicky! The cost was kind of pricey, but I would go back and try other sandwich creations for sure.

We ordered our food with the host/cashier and waited at our table for the food to be delivered. My companion's food was delivered and the server asked us if there was anything else. I said my food hadn't come and she asked me what I ordered. I told her it was the Greek goddess. I had to wait quite a long time for my meal to arrive and when it did, the server placed the plate on the table, grabbed the table number and walked away.No apology for the extended wait, no, "enjoy your meal." It was quite rude. The Greek goddess was pretty bland and my friend's soup was boring. The Falafel pita was ok. We have lots of options for lunch in Washington DC. I will not return to this establishment, ever.

From the moment we arrived, we felt like our celebration mattered to the people taking care of us. The food was incredible. We started with the Duck Hunt and Cesare salad, followed by the 40-Layer Lasagna, which absolutely deserves every bit of its reputation. Our cocktails, the Arancia Rossa Margarita and Negroni Fumo, were beautiful and delicious. We finished with the Gianduja S'Mores and Pesca Arrostita, and somehow each course just kept getting better. But as good as the food was, the people are what we'll remember most. Talya was incredible. She was attentive, warm, and genuinely kind, making us feel completely at ease from the moment we sat down until the very end of the night. She made wonderful recommendations, checked on us at all the right moments, and genuinely cared that we were enjoying our night. And then there was Robin, the Guest Relations Manager. She made us feel less like guests at a restaurant and more like people being welcomed into someone's home. She checked on us throughout the evening, celebrated with us, and made sure our night felt special from beginning to end. At the end of dinner, we were surprised with two complimentary chocolate cakes, one for our anniversary and one for my wife's birthday, along with cards celebrating each occasion. Those personal touches meant so much to us and were the perfect ending to an already beautiful night. When you're celebrating the person you love most, you hope the place you choose somehow rises to the occasion. L'Ardente did that and more. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was beautiful, but the hospitality is what will bring us back. Thank you, Talya, Robin, and the entire L'Ardente team. Shortly after we got our drink, we received notification of an opening and were seated by 8:15. We had the burrata appetizer, Ragú x 2, and the seafood fra diavolo. The burrata was one of the best I've had since they serve it with pesto, pine nuts, and garlic bread. It was truly divine! The Ragú was not far behind. Incredible flavor and a generous portion. The seafood dish had a nice kick and had plenty of seafood, which is not common as of late. All dishes were also priced reasonably for the quality you received.
