Cracker Barrel was quiet the experience for this first-timer; it is well-lit and spacious. I was meeting up with my best friend who was visiting from out-of-state. The server was so kind to wait patiently for us as we took forever to order because we were talking nonstop! After dinner, we browsed the shop adjacent to the restaurant and it is filled with cute and creative items. In terms of food, the portions are reasonable and choice of selection ample. Unfortunately, everything I tried was bland. The one delicious thing was my caramel latte.

Service is great, fast and friendly! I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the pancakes. The plates look a little sad in regard to the bacon and eggs. But can't complain it was a decent meal and a decent price. If you're looking for a new place to go for breakfast, give Cracker Barrel a try and walk off your meal after in their little store!

This place never fails to make me happy. The food is amazing, whether you choose breakfast option or entrees for a lunch or dinner. Once you have enjoyed a satisfying meal, you can explore their gift shop. You will be sure to find something special for yourself or a loved one. The service and food were both excellent. The interior decor is fascinating, with a unique display of musical instruments, game pieces, tools and vintage photographs.

I have this habit of judging a breakfast place based on their coffee and it's very rare that I'm wrong. This time, I was wrong. We ordered the grandma sampler - The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs cooked as ordered, and the hash brown casserole has to be one of the best sides I've ever had! The portions are huge, this alone fed 2 people. But again, the coffee was a let down, just wasn't strong enough. And the sausage patty was super dry and tough, didn't care for that. Our server was attentive and personable, but not overbearing and the restaurant itself was very homey. The shopping g part of the store was not what I expected, but it had a nice variety. Would definitely come back to try their dinner menu.

So good , better than we anticipated. Great friendly service lots of great options. It was our anniversary they gave us a chocolate dessert! Wish we had one in our area, they closed the one in Santa Maria ‍ it was so good and we took two dinners to go , fried chicken w Mac n cheese. Nice country interior design.

I love the atmosphere! It was so bright and open. I found it entertaining to look at the score, but not overwhelming. Our server Scarlett was helpful and friendly. The fried pickles weren't as good as I would have liked, because the batter was too thick, but my 11 thought they were great! They were brought out quickly. The dinner was as well. We all liked the biscuits, nice and buttery. The batter on the okra was much lighter than the pickles and much better! My burger patty really needed some seasoning as did the grits and fries. Hubby's steak was season well. I really want to like the food much more than I do! Service, atmosphere and cleanliness were so on point! The food is just not that great.

They charged over $5 for a kids side of fruits when they said not all kids items come with a side. Food is only ok.

They charged over $5 for a kids side of fruits when they said not all kids items come with a side. My roasted chicken is barely LOOK better than the Costco roasted chicken but it tasted bland. Everything seems over priced at this place.

This was our first ever time at CnB and it was overall good. Service was nice - and quick - but they didn't have soup (any soup) and also no Apple Strudel! Not something I'd consider normal given it was a Saturday night and their menu is not that extensive.

Man, I use to eat here back in the day. I gotta say that this place is going down hill. The "buttermilk pancakes" were so dry and the hash browns were barely cooked. Our server was ok, nothing spectacular. Cracker Barrel is just a nostalgic gift shop. I will not go back for breakfast. I'll try their dinner menu next

Two choice sampler - loaded mash, dried okra, meatloaf and home style chicken

Everything that you would expect. Comfort food, quality service and a cozy dine in experience. Got the sampler - two choice. More than enough food to feed just one person.

    Old timer with bacon

All the food was good except the bacon. The bacon was fat with some meat on it. But the eggs , hash browns gravey and steak tips were really good. Our server was spot on! Nice atmosphere.

Maya greeted us with a smile and willing to assist. The biscuits and cornbread were delicious. The catfish was tasty and delicious. The two sides of rice and coleslaw were average. The rice was hard to chew and the coleslaw did not taste fresh. The meatloaf was burnt on the edges but the mashed potato and gravy with corn was just right. The music was great stuff. We went during an off time so the music column was perfect. We were rocking to the music.

The food came out fast the server was kind and attentive. As much as she could be, she seemed pretty busy. Although there were things I was impressed with such as their cool Shop at the entrance. And the kind service. The food was unfortunately not great. We order a campfire dinner which is good for two, the chicken was tender but nothing great. We also ordered a chicken sandwich with fries also not great. But would honestly come back for the shop!

When we arrived, we were seated promptly, which was especially appreciated on such a busy holiday. I ordered the lamb chops, and they were absolutely delicious. The accompanying sauce complemented the meat perfectly and was easily my favorite part of the meal. One of the restaurant's signature touches is preparing the house salad tableside, which adds a nice, classic steakhouse feel. My only wish is that the salad portions were a little more generous, as the serving felt on the smaller side. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, which unfortunately was the biggest disappointment of the meal. It lacked the flavor and texture we were expecting. The staff was friendly, but the service was a bit slow throughout our visit. The restaurant is conveniently located in the Costco shopping center, so there's plenty of parking available. Just be prepared for some traffic getting in and out of the shopping center, especially during peak dining hours.

We went at the tail-end of lunch, and it was busy, but there were still a few tables open (I recommend making reservations). The Dish: I went with the pumpkin pancakes topped with pecan butter, plus a side of bacon. Fun fact: this exact dish was actually featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! The Flavor Profile: To say these pumpkin pancakes were good is an understatement, they were absolutely to die for. As the pecan butter melted over the top, it created the perfect rich sauce, and the crunchy pecan bits scattered throughout the pancakes gave every single bite an amazing texture. Eating this felt exactly like a cozy October morning. The Verdict: Between the perfect diner nostalgia and those incredible pancakes, this breakfast was a total home run. Our waiter spilled an entire tray of iced teas and waters next to/on us, and then left to change his apron and serve other tables while we sat dripping and ignored for nearly 15 mins until I had to flag someone down to help us clean because my shoes were soaked through and the liquid river continued under our table (he handed me a few napkins until I insisted on an actual mop, which he obliged with an audible sigh). Someone finally put down a wet floor sign, and considering all the elderly diners they didn't seem concerned about the giant puddle in the walkway that went ignored. I don't care about the spill, but just apologize and clean up - don't disappear and then come back only to announce that you're going on break. We finally got another server to take our order, but it was such an odd "we don't like non-locals" vibe that we ate quickly and got outta there. We pass through Bakersfield often during road trips, but will skip this next time.

Either way it was bland. I ended up having to douse it with a mixture of tarter, malt vinegar, ketchup and Tabasco sauce. NY steak was amazingly tender and cooked perfectly, the kind of steak that really does not need much done to it because the flavor already speaks for itself. They served it with chimichurri sauce, which just was not exactly my cup of tea, but once I added Worcestershire sauce, it really brought out the flavor of an already all-star steak. The Chicken Fried Steak 'n' Eggs with hash browns was also very tasty Steak even the batter had flavor and definitely worth it. The chicken fried steak had that good comfort food quality to it, with a crispy outside, tender bite, and a savory flavor that worked really well with the eggs. The hash browns helped round everything out nicely and even the biscuits and gravy which im generally not a fan of was very good. Service from Holly, and I hope I got that right, was amazing from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and made the visit feel easy and comfortable. Even the iced tea stood out to me because it tasted like the homemade sun tea I make every year by the pool, and that gave the whole meal an extra familiar touch. Overall, this was a very strong visit with a standout steak, a satisfying breakfast plate, and excellent service.
