A debacle from start to finish. I will say the Manager comped the entire meal which I will accept as a good gesture and return as a result but still does not override the fact this was a horrible experience A-Z. Arrived and told 20 minute wait, it was 10. Was seated and the other 10 was waiting on a server apparently. Ordered our usual and a desert as it was a Birthday freebie. Server brought food and said out of biscuits which would be out (my favorite). Then said of out of chicken and dumplings, just refund the add on. Then came back and said oh no more biscuits tonight (what?). The portions of veggies was 2-3 bites and the crispy okra was maybe 8 pieces on one and 10 on another and microwaved or reheated and nasty soggy. Refills were slow on arriving even though we showed the waitress. Ordered our FREE Birthday dessert and came back we don't have that, second choice no, asked what do you have? Disgusting!!! The health department needs to visit this place. The food is old & dried out. Meatloaf hard, hashbrown casserole they served the hard crap they scraped from the side of the pan instead of cooking more. The apples are swimming in white grease. Mashed potatoes are ok but the gravy tastes burnt. Even the biscuits were hard as a rock. If a food fight breaks out in there, they're in trouble. Those biscuits will easily break windows!! They have no urgency to get you anything at all. They are also attempting to add gratuity to the checks for standard parties. (3 people) Pay attention cause they'll refuse to wait on you then add on a 20% gratuity without a word. I guess they figure they don't have to lift a finger if they can slip a tip on their bill anyways. I caught it, thankfully & made them remove it. They protested & called the manager to remove it. I tried to speak to the manager but she had no interest in what the issue was. All she cared about was getting back to the corner table where she sat stuffing her face. Meanwhile the restaurant is burning all around & management can't be bothered. The only person paying any attention is the lady that stalks you in the country store. She follows you as if you're stealing or hiding something. It's really uncomfortable to shop at all. They won't assist you in finding sizes but they'll quickly complain if you are carrying any of their merchandise in your hands.... Guess you can't touch it to purchase? My granddaughter wanted a stuffed doll & candy. When she handed me the doll, the staff member acted like I was stealing it when all I did was take it from my granddaughter and say thank you. Maybe they should pay more attention to the people in the dining room and less attention to stalking guests in the country store? They must be under new management & the new management is fully intent on destroying a once great staple in America. Just keep driving, there are plenty of local places that actually appreciate your patronage. Cracker Barrel, sadly, I just don't see them lasting much longer. They've taken away everything fun & nostalgic & tried to turn it into a basic poorly run cafeteria with sticky tables, nasty floors & rude staff. So I'm in town trading on a Music tour & we go to this Cracker Barrel, hmmm The waitress was a lil standoffish from the start. It's ok we all have our off days. We proceed to place our order & I asked for egg whites.ghey no longer serve egg whites, so I ordered country fried steak with a side of hash browns and grits. My grits come Lumpy and uncooked my hash browns were stale and hard to cut. I let our waitress know and she said oh sorry about that and walked away I asked her if she could bring me orange juice and ketchup. As I tried to Bear through eating at least some of the food I could not eat the grits. They were hard they were uncooked as for the hash browns they were stale I proceeded to tell the manager he comes over I tell him what I dealt with he said sorry for your loss and walks away. He did not offer me a discount he did not say anything else but sorry for your loss!!! I've been going to Cracker Barrel for the past 15 years and somehow they keep losing my votes.. I gave it 30+ minutes extra I gave my name to pick up my food and that short white old lady with yellow or white hair I can't remember seemed to be a bit racist very definitely Rude and just nasty. Idk she just was so rude and weird I hated her customer service. I know it could be better. The guy next to her was actually really nice and cool the one with the eyepatch the only reason why I even left a tip. Other than that I wouldn't have because of her attitude and whatever her issue is definitely get friendlier and much more respectful people like the nice man. Came here with a group. I was surprised there was a long wait at 1:30 on a weekday. Eventually we were able to get a table. We came to get the lunch specials. However I wanted the chicken pot pie and unfortunately it was only available in one size. It didn't come with any sides so I had to order extra stuff. I was hoping to get a side chicken salad but was not able to easily. So I ended up ordering a kids meal of chicken tenders and swapping the fries. The pot pie was just okay. Not a whole lot of chicken and I wish they had a smaller size available. Service was just okay too. Before I went I needed a refill of my tea and it took a while. Biscuits were just okay too. Overall the food was a little underwhelming. We don't come to Cracker Barrel too often though so maybe this is typical. read more

My husband and I stopped by for dinner 2/22/25 for dinner around 7:00 pm. We were seated immediately but waited about 15 minutes for the waitress to come to our table. This waitress visit only occurred after my husband left our table to find her. The waitress's first comment to us was, "it will be at least a 30-45 minute wait for food". We then stood up and left. The WORST experience I've had at a restaurant in years. My 6 friends and I visited this location and it took 40 minutes for our server to refill our drinks or revisit the table in any capacity after placing our orders. After speaking with a manager, a gentleman came out and gave us refills and apologized for our server because she was on the 'struggle bus'. When we finally got our food we mentioned the wait time and the server just chuckled like it was a joke and left again. On the way out a different manager asked how our food was and we explained all of the issues we had, he said "okay" and walked away. Truly UNBELIEVABLE! So I'd like to update my review, I have been contacted by both cooperate and management of Cracker Barrel and they were very professional. They handle my complaint when most businesses don't care about one customer, but Cracker Barrel showed me that they do. This company has always shown me that they are willing to handle complaints and issues. When racial issues came up and the way some black police officers were treated emerged years ago, me and my colleagues (police officers) refused to dine here again. Then we were immediately contacted by cooperate and after dialogue that issue was resolved. Have been to this Cracker Barrel twice in the last week. Had a pretty good experience the first time, probably worth 3 to 4 stars, so went back a second time and had a terrible experience. Unlikely to revisit based on this latest experience. Both times there is a manager wandering around looking for a place to hide most of the time. He is an "executive" rather than a "working partner" with the staff members. He is not helping the restaurant. Today, we were seated and no server came by. I finally had to get up and chase the above mentioned manager around the store, nearly going in the kitchen to get him to ask if he could get a server to us. A server finally showed up but still after another unacceptable wait. Ordered Sweet Tea, and got unsweetened tea. When I asked if the server could change it, she commented that this had been happening all day with the person(s) making it forgetting to put the sugar in. Well, let's see, get rid of the person making it, and if you know its been happening how about testing it before serving it? I know that Cracker Barrel has been losing sales and is working to find themselves after Covid, but this restaurant isn't going to make it if it doesn't sort out basic service issues. read more

I usually don't go to Cracker Barrel but we decided to stop by today Saturday 06/27/2020 for lunch around 1:15 PM. It wasn't terribly busy given it was Saturday afternoon. Service: 1 out of 5 stars The service was the worst I have ever experienced at any dine in restuarant. I don't remember our waitress' name. She was nice but she disappeared on us for a long time. After we ordered, 30 minutes passed before I flagged her down and asked if we were getting our biscuits. To which she answered: "oh you want it now...?" I noticed that she was in charge of 5 tables and all customers seemed annoyed and I saw 1 lady walk up to her to get her attention which should never happen at a not so busy restuarant. Our food finally came after 40 minutes. By that time I was hangry. Food: 3 out of 5 stars Since I was starving by the time my food arrived, I demolished my food. My grilled catfish tasted good. But my husband's meatloaf was cold like it was sitting in the kitchen for too long before they bought it out. Overall I was very disappointed by the experience. I'm not sure what the point of the cashier asking us how the experience/food was if after I told him my complaints, nothing else was done except "ok I'll let them know." Disappointing. read more

Went to this location with my husband 7/8/24. We're from North Alabama on work travel, and I'm pregnant and craving some pot pie. As I placed my order around 7:40 pm, my server immediately was hesitant and said she "has to go check" and went back to the kitchen. I assumed it was a supply issue, maybe they were out of whatever it takes to make pot pie? When she came back, we were told they couldn't make it because it was too close to closing time and it wouldn't be done. I was actually baffled. I said "It's not even 8:00??" She kinda shrugged and said "that's what they said" as in the kitchen/cooks. I mentioned I came here specifically for the pot pie so I would need another minute to look over the menu. As I looked, I thought, well what CAN we order that the cooks would not be too lazy to cook/lie and say it's too close to closing? It was 7:40 and they close at 9:00pm. Does it take an hour and 15 minutes to serve an $11 pot pie?! We got up and took our business elsewhere. The Korean place down the street was excellent, happy to serve us and had fantastic bulgogi. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism as this Cracker Barrel. Pure laziness. I hope someone higher up sees this and makes some changes because they lost our business, and I'm going to scream our experience from the heavens. We were here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Boy was it ever busy. The wait for two of us was 20 minutes. Lots of things in the store to look at while you wait, if you're into crafts and Seminole jerseys. Our server immediately took our coffee order but didn't seem too helpful when it came to answering our questions. Her answers were quick and brief. We didn't get any teaspoons for our coffees, and when asked for them from our sever, there were no apologies given. She actually brought us soup spoons. The coffee was tasteful with a nutty flavor. The food came within 30 minutes. Pancakes were tasty, but they only gave us one tiny syrup bottle. The eggs were a bit cold and so was the bacon and biscuits and gravy. Whoever the manager of this location is has let this franchise and his staff down. 2 cooks in the back, trying to feed the restaurant of 15 people. The servers look tired and embarrassed of the service they were trying to give. The waitress offered us plastic wear because they didn't have enough clean silverware?!
