Today my daughter and I had some time to kill together in Duncan,S.C. We decided to go in this Cracker Barrel and look for one of those gigantic sized suckers for her youngest son. Unfortunately they didn't have any so we departed this store a little let down. We already had lunch so we didn't dine here. I did see a lot of happy people in there. Bella Grace was the Best Server I have ever had. I was greeted within a minute of being seated. I told her I was really hungry and she took my drink order and my meal order and came right out with my drink and biscuits. And immediately brought my meal as soon as it was prepared. Bella Grace was Kind, Friendly, compassionate, and had a sense of urgency for me. She is one of a kind and I hope to see her every time I come in as this is my local Cracker Barrel. The ambiance was delightful. The hostess sat me quickly and was kind as well. I came in around 4pm Sunday 11/9/2025. Food was delicious. This was by far the worst dining out experience I've had in years. We had a party of four. Our waitress Sarah took our order and didn't return with drinks for about 10 minutes. When our food finally arrived, the chicken tenders were overcooked and nearly all of the sides were cold. We had waited so long for it to arrive we went ahead and ate because we didn't want to wait an eternity again for hot food. If the service was any slower time would have moved in reverse. I got a strawberry lemonade which was supposed to be unlimited refills. The glass was only 3/4 full when I received it. Everybody had to ask for refills on drinks when she finally came back around and I was told they were out of lemonade. I asked for a water instead. Then the bill came. My wife and daughter had asked for dumplings as a side. We were charged for a side of chicken and dumplings on both counts. I spoke to the manager about the erroneous charges and told her I also wasn't going to pay almost $4 for a lemonade when I received less than 1 serving. She had a terrible attitude and kept trying to interrupt me as I spoke. When she returned with the corrected bill she said "Sarah said she brought you a refill, but I took it off anyway." I did not get a refill, so that's basically calling me a liar. Too bad you can't give less than 1 star. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

The service was good but the food quality has really fallen off. Food is not consistent. I asked for scrambled well done. They were soft and runny , the gravy was watery. The biscuits had no flavor. Everything seemed very greasy. I have visited several Cracker Barrel locations and consistency is not your strong suit. Please train your people so you don't loose customers. read more

We were quoted 15-20 minutes for a table and didn't get seated until 45 minutes had passed. Anyone I asked for an update in the store section of the restaurant wasn't helpful at all. They were extremely busy but I think more effort should be put into accurate quote times. I'm left feeling like they tell you anything to get you in the store to spend money while you wait and once you've waited so long you're still gonna wait for your table, quite an interesting business model but definitely will not generate repeat business in the long run. read more

This was an A++ experience at Cracked Barrel. Thankfully there was no wait despite being Saturday at 11. We were able to sit down immediately and order quickly. Food came out in no time. Very nice since we were road tripping. Food was soooo good. I forgot to take pics But everything was completely delish. Just wasted my money at Cracker Barrel. I wanted the roast beef, but it had been discontinued and replaced with pot roast which I ordered. When it came, it was in a bowl with dark brown gravy covering the mashed potatoes (a couple of tablespoons of watery potatoes). The gravy was very strong and salty tasting. Horrible! The meat was tender, but covered in that awful gravy. I did pick some of the meat out and ate that along with the green beans. I don't eat out often and was so looking forward to a good meal. We have tried this Cracker Barrel 3 different times. I realize on a Sunday there will be a wait. Definitely good with that. But the last 3 times we've been there we have left because of the longer then average wait or like today sat for 15 mins and had 3 different waitresses pass our table and said NOTHING!!! Not a smile, not even acknowledging we were sitting there. When I told the persons at the front they knew exactly where we were sitting and just stared. I don't understand people. SMH! Ate dinner there last night (2/2/24) around 6:30 PM. Service was slow, order was wrong and we never got the vinegar or butter we requested. Seemed to be ignored by the waitress. To start off. My wife and I love Cracker Barrel and this was the first time visiting this location. We stopped in at 4:30pm on a Friday. My wife ordered the chicken tenders with hash brown casserole and Mac and cheese with dumplings. I ordered the pancakes with sausage, bacon, ham and Mac and cheese. This is where the first big issue arrives. They are out of Mac and cheese. On a Friday, about to hit the dinner crowd and you are completely out of Mac and cheese. That alone is unacceptable. Second issue, was my wife's chicken tenders were completely burned as you can see in the pictures. And as a substitute for the Mac and cheese, they gave her mashed potatoes which had to have been sitting out for awhile because they did not taste good at all. Third issue, was the hash browns were the same way as the mashed potatoes. They'd been sitting out for awhile. Now onto my plate. The pancakes were okay aside from them being very spongy and my scrambled eggs were on the verge of being cold so clearly they had been done for awhile before being served to me. The next issue we had was when we asked for the biscuits and corn bread. As you can also see if the picture, the bottoms were completely burned and the biscuits overall were hard. Hard to the point I asked my wife if she threw it at a window, would it damage it and she said it could probably crack one. Overall this was very disappointing in Cracker Barrel and we will definitely second guess our thought of eating at this location again. read more

Generally consistent fare from one to the next. I love their meatloaf and fried apples , and I was not disappointed in either. However, the carrots, which are usually very good fell short this day. We had a really good meal at this Cracker Barrel on our trip home from down South this year. I think the sampler platter is my new favorite - you get nice sized helpings of ham, chicken and dumplings and meatloaf (all of which were fantastic), along with three sides and biscuits and cornbread, all for around ten bucks or so. Our waitress was great and had no problems dealing with our group (three travel weary adults, two young adults, and two boys under two). We had a great meal and some relaxation which gave us the energy to power on for another six hours or so back to PA. Kudos to this Cracker Barrel and staff. read more

Like so many Cracker Barrels, this one is right by the Interstate which makes it very easy to get parked and when you're done, get back out on the highway. Service was good, the food was consistent with every time I've ever been to a Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel has always been a family favorite. Although I had not been in a while, simply because of the usual wait time when we actually have family together. So I stopped by today for a late lunch. After a short wait, I was seated and began looking at the menu. My server was polite, but not the usual cracker barrel friendly, and I had to ask for a napkin because the host did not provide any with the silverware. I was asked if I wanted biscuits or cornbread, so I asked for one of each, which I received with ice cold butter, and had to ask for jam/jelly, which was then provided, but with no choice of what kind. I decided on the Saturday special, fried pork chops with 2 sides. I ordered the classic hash brown casserole, and fried okra. The chops and gravy were ok, a little on the dry side, but not bad. The fried okra was bland, pale and mushy, no fried crunch/texture or seasoning. If I were blindfolded, i probably would jot have been able to distinguish it from mashed potatoes. The hash brown casserole was dry, also bland, and the top was crispy, but the inside was undercooked, weird. I am sure this review sounds a little nit picky, but long story short, this meal and price tag did not live up to the quality of food and service I have long associated with Cracker Barrel. And as a side note, allowing a server, who has just ended her shift, to have a drink and hangout at a six top table in the dining room, is not typical restaurant etiquette. I believe all of these issues could be easily solved by better training and management. Just my 2 cents worth. read more

Cracker Barrel never disappoints. This morning I ordered something different for breakfast. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with gravy, a side of hashbrown casserole, seasonal fruit, turnip greens and a biscuit and corn bread. I had an iced latte to drink. As always, the iced coffee was very good. It always surprises me that the iced lattes are good here. You can taste actual espresso in these iced coffees. Most importantly though, the food was delicious. The chicken was super moist, flavorful and had a really nice crunch. The gravy was also very good, as were both the turnip greens and the seasonal fruit. I also loved that I could get both a biscuit and cornbread. I always feel like I'm eating at someone's house when I eat at Cracker Barrel. Obviously, it would be someone's house where they can cook delicious food. I don't think I've ever once had a bad experience at Cracker Barrel. It's constantly delicious and the customer service is always great. I can't wait until my next visit. read more

We came in at 8:07pm to have dinner and only at 8:55pm the server told us they are out of dumplings and asked if we'd like to order something else. She couldn't come and tell us earlier. We called the manager and he wasn't the best at customer service either, he said they had a lot to go orders and it took them that long to come to our order and find out that they are out of dumplings. I have always had a good experience at Cracker Barrel until tonight, but a great manager saved our meal! We waited forever to order drinks, then our server wanted us to order everything right then, so we did. She wasn't familiar with the menu either so ordering was labor intensive. After our food was brought to us she only returned 1 time to throw check down- no drink refills, no dessert, no box and I had only eaten half of my food. We ask for manager who apologized and brought refills and a box and comped dessert. I understand the constraints of having good help now during Covid- but a drink refill and a question about dessert are some of the easier things to do for customers. We also wanted a Togo order and coffee but thought it best not to push our luck. I am grateful the manager cares! I have confidence to return! read more
