We have not been to a Cracker Barrel in sometime. We decided to stop in and get some of our favorites. The atmosphere was a typical Cracker Barrel interior with a wonderful fire going in the fireplace. We got seated immediately, and the place was relatively busy. We did sit for approximately 15 to 20 minutes before anybody came to our table for waters and or food orders. We were about to step away from the table and walk out when a waiter came to us asking if we had been helped. We advised that we had not, and he immediately helped us with drinks and food. He definitely saved our meal and opinion of this place. The food was amazing. We haven't had Cracker Barrel, like I said in some time, and we received some food that was deliciously prepared and exactly what we wished for. The chicken and dumplings were delicious with the dumplings, not being overcooked or slimy. The plate was more than enough to fill your stomach. I got the country fried and it was delicious. The sawmill gravy on top was plentiful and a perfect consistency. The waiter even brought over an extra bowl of sawmill gravy for the biscuits we had ordered. The side dishes that we ordered being macaroni and cheese, hash brown casserole, greens, sweet baby carrots were all delicious. I will see if you've never had the greens, you should. It has a little bit of meat in it, which adds to the flavor. This reminded us of why we enjoy Cracker Barrel so much. Again, my shout out to the waiter who saved the day for us. Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in. Cracker Barrel always gives a warm cozy feel but with the kindness everyone showed, just made it that much more welcoming! (The blazing fireplace helped too!!) Our server was very kind and our meals were perfect, came out quickly and were delicious. We tried the 2 meals and an appetizer or desert for $19.99 which I thought was a great deal! In the shop after, ornaments were a great deal, I got way too many but the workers were so friendly and helped me get a basket to hold everything. Overall great experience and I hope to go back soon! Best Sheppard pie I have ever tried, wow, the meat was so juicy and tender that it melts on your mouth, vegetables and sauce so fresh and tasty, absolutely amazing, this needs to be on the menu all year long. The old fashion half and half drink really tastes freshly made. Chicken is always a safe bet for the little ones so as the mac and cheese. This place is my fav family place. The lunch menu begins at 11:00 each day. While they do offer plenty of breakfast options to choose from, we're generally not a breakfast group. Has we known this we wouldn't have walked in 10:40. Bless her heart, Kinterra, brought us lunch menus and would make an exception for us! Lucky me they have weekday lunch features starting at $5.99. I settled on the meatloaf with mash and whole kernel corn. It even came with biscuits. A lot of satisfied chicken n dumplin' fans at our table and a guy that ordered four veggies for lunch. We won't talk about him. I can't think of the last time eight people got up from the table totally excited about the meal they just had. Seems to be the case every time we come to Cracker Barrel. What a way to start a road trip with breakfast at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. I had been studying photos and menus for weeks as it has been a couple years since we've stopped at Cracker Barrel. I kept coming back to Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast and already knew that was what I would be ordering! My wife had a more difficult time as it's hard to find anything close to a healthy breakfast at Cracker Barrel so she decided to order a Fresh Fruit Bowl and their new item Biscuit Beignets that come with a syrupy dipping sauce and we both had coffee. The service here was excellent as we normally experience at most Cracker Barrel location; this one was just as we expected. Our server was Ijanferre and she even replace my wife's coffee because she had a fresh pot that was hotter! Thanks for that special effort, Ijanferre! She also kept our coffee filled while we ate. Compared with the service, the food was a bit disappointing! Basically everything was good but not as good as it was in my memory. The Country Fried Steak was made with a hamburger patty and was on the salty side and the gravy seemed a little bland. Scrambled Eggs and Hash Browns Casserole were very good as were the biscuits. The Fruit Bowl seemed like a rather small portion for $3.99! The Beignets not bad but were a bit doughy and very sweet even without the syrup; we probably wouldn't order again, especially after having had the genuine article in New Orleans. This visit on 3/18/24 was different than my usual visits. My family & I dined here after a funeral & the food was terrible. I ordered the fried Catfish filets and the fish was fishy with an odd aftertaste. Our hash browns casserole was over cooked & dried out. $ some dishes took longer to come out than others. The food is good, my kids love their chicken tenders. It's not always easy to pickup takeout, though. They have you wait in the standard line, and then have to go "find" the order and usually it's missing condiments.. so then they've got to go back for them. And the front counter person always seems confused when you say you have a takeout order. read more

We were so excited to have Maurice wait on us, as when we arrived he came straight to our table to greet us and take our drink order. We have not had great service like that at many other Cracker Barrel's on the road. He was very pleasant, knew the menu to offer additional side items with our dinner and followed up with us to see if we were satisfied with our meal and if we needed anything else. To top it off, our meal was delicious! We need more servers like Mo, as they called him that as a nickname there. Keep up the great work Mo, you will go far with this company. A Good Experience for a Large Group! We were traveling south on I-75 and called in to see if they could seat us. They could. I was really nervous about several recent bad reviews, but we took a chance. They seated 40 of us, 4 to a table, in 10 minutes. Food and service were good and no one had a complaint. Went to dinner last night. Both of us got fried food. It looked like it was over fried or maybe refried. Our food was cold as well. None of it tasted fresh. I tried to ask about a dish and was told by the waitress gruffly, "what you see is what you get." I used to love cracker barrels food but it has disappointed us one too many times. Waited 45 minutes for food to come out cold. Not warm.....flat out COLD! 10/10 do NOT recommend trying the meatloaf. It looked like dog food that was thrown in the oven......apparently the oven that doesn't work! Country fried steak was ok, but the gravy was sooooooo thcik, had to scrape it off just to eat what little I did of the steak. Mac and cheese tasted like flour. We informed the waitress, and she was kind enough to offer us something else, but at that point, I didn't feel confident that anything coming out of the kitchen would be satisfactory. The server was mildly busy, but was still able to handle us fine (taking our drink order). I ordered the small Rainbow Trout dinner. This consisted of rolls, trout, and two sides. I had a mixed green salad and french fries as my sides. The value was there for the meal at $7.99. The taste of each component was just okay. It's like the salad would've tasted better with grape tomatoes instead of two. Maybe an extra pad of butter used in the trout seasoning. Granted these are ideas of small "fixes" and I'm sure management could come up with better ones, but something should be done to help this restaurant to shine. The restaurant parking lot seemed to have a normal amount of cars in it. We went inside and the line was backed up to the door. We decided to wait. After being in line for 30 minutes we were seated. Didn't seem too bad. When our server came to our table after just a few minute, we were told that it would be a 40 minute wait for our food. I asked "are you kidding?" and my husband commented that they should be telling people that as they are waiting in line. The server responded with "what do you expect? Look around we're busy ". Then proceeded to ask why we were being "ugly " with her. I tried to speak to a manager after leaving the table. I was told to get hold of them later because they were too busy. We have gone to this location for several years and never had this rude of service. This treatment doesn't just make a customer leave for that day. I doubt that we will return. read more

The waitress kept apologizing for the wait saying the kitchen was short staffed. Here's an idea: if you don't have the staff to accommodate a full restaurant, only open half the dining room! Terrible customer service, waited almost an hour for our food that was cold. Seated us right next to a table they don't seem to be following the 6 ft apart rule. Masks by employees were wore right. Manager didn't have one on at all. Tables where being sat after us receiving they're food before us. Cashier sent us to the next one cause he was on his cell phone. That cashier acted annoyed, packed my 100$ in merchandise in one bag which ripped on the way to that car. I bought a coffee mug, thank goodness it didn't break.
