I will never return to this location. Waited over an hour for our food, people who came after us got their food before us, when our food did come, the fries were barely warm, the French toast wasn't warm at all, my eggs were so gross, I couldn't tell if it was butter all over the plate or undercooked egg but it was gross. The waitress kept apologizing for the wait saying the kitchen was short staffed. Here's an idea: if you don't have the staff to accommodate a full restaurant, only open half the dining room! What a concept! One table got so angry from waiting for so long and all of their food came out wrong they got up and left, wouldn't even touch their food. This is one of my favorite restaurants. We usually stop at one every time we travel. Sometimes we would just go to the nearest one for lunch and to shop. The store area is so interesting and fun with all the old style candy and fun trinkets. My favorite lunch/dinner is the chicken dumplings w the meat loaf and ham. This was the worst Cracker Barrel I've been to in my life. The chicken was dry and stringy. The waiter didn't get our drinks until our food was about to come out. They only had ranch as an option for salad dressing. The coke was flat and didn't have any bubbles. The icing on the cake was when I went in to the bathroom....don't even get me started. Very disappointed with my meal and definitely will not be stopping in next time. I think there's a much better Cracker Barrel north on I-75 near Bridgeport, MI. read more

I know restaurants are busy on Mother's Day, but this place had no game plan. I had a 3:30pm pick up time got it over 1 1/2 hr later. I had to identical orders, when we got home we were missing 2 items from one order. After waiting for curbside pick up everyone was giving up and going inside. The lobby area was full. So standing inside for over an hr and watching the servers bring an order to the door and call a name 2 time then place the order on a table. They didn't even check to see if it went someone still waiting outside. Next time maybe they should form the lines inside by pick up time and take care of inside and outside in order instead of skipping around. read more

Husband and i ordered breakfast online, 2 blueberry pancakes with sausage, country breakfast chicken with bacon (remember this part for later) waited after 30 minutes to pick it up after completing the online order. Called the pick up order number let them know we there, they told it us it would be 30 minutes, so we wait. Called again after 30 minutes...was told to wait another 30 minutes. After that 60 minutes (entire hour) we went inside it STILL wasn't ready, so we looked around shopped, spent $50. went to check out it still wasn't ready. screw it went to the car AGAIN (appetites were gone at this point. Got there at 11:55 am it is now 12:35) Went inside got our food it is now 1:45 the lady grabbed it from the last row (which means our food was ready the whole time). WE GOT HOME FINALLY AFTER 2 hours. my husband ordered a chicken BREAKFAST meal....he received FISH how gross? with breakfast?!? he hates sea food was VERY grossed out. Every chain is basically the same. That being said breakfast of grandmas sampler is spot on every time I go. Service was slow but it's a rough time for help and restaurants. Food was average and the store was clean enough. Prices are a bit hefty for breakfast so it's about a 3/5 from me. read more

She was friendly, but some customer service advice to the blonde hair pony tail in glasses, you were a good server, amongst things, the whole restaurant doesn't need to hear about ur business about trying to switch to a nursing home facility or something on that lines, and then proceed to tell everyone ur business... and how long ur there and ur ready to leave. It's not about the food, the food was good as usual, it's about all the other little things the got wrong. To start, when being seated I asked to sit near the fireplace. Now I understand that tables aren't always available, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that it was 27 degrees out, a little snow on the ground and the fireplace wasn't even lit. The hostess said she had no idea why "they" haven't lit it yet. After being seated I waited. And waited. And waited. After spending over 10 minutes flipping through Reddit, the waitress comes over and asks for my drink order. I told her I was ready to order dinner, not just my drink. More time goes by. The Pierson rd Cracker Barrel has always provided this long time patron good food and good service. Tonight however was thecworst service i have ever seen at any Cracker Barrel. We were quicklt seated then promptly ignored. Literally every server who walked past out table ignored us. No one even made eye contact. This went on for at least 7 minutes. If our presence would have at least been recognized or if there were not empty tables on the floor then i coukd have ubderstois but the staff deemed to go out of their way to avoid our table. we were really looking forward to the fried fish on Friday night. we were staying at the hotel next door. my friend went to pick up the order. she had ordered a loaded baked potato with the fish. she checked before she left with the takeout . she had a loaded sweet potato with bacon and cheese. ewe. they replaced it with a regular potato with bacon and cheese. no butter or sour cream when she opened it up at the hotel. the fish was basically fish flavored breading. you couldn't even see the fish. this is my second time ever getting food from Cracker Barrel. Really good pancakes and the Sunrise Sampler breakfast is spectacular. I only eat breakfast here, but for one time when I got the meatloaf dinner, which was good and I loved the mashed potatoes and the pie I had with it, but not the food that I would enjoy everyday. I love Cracker Barrel, but I don't think I would try it for dinner very often even if it was down the street, but breakfast is another story. Now you are talking! The breakfast is what makes this place tick. Service is always friendly and mostly quick, but that's really just my experience with breakfast, and I appreciate the speed and promptness of the service because breakfast is a meal that eaten out always needs to be done quickly. The gift shop out front is not of any importance to me. I think if you looked around once, that's all you need to know about it. Overpriced country trinkets and reproduction folk art mixed in with some Christmas ornaments. I have bought a few Christmas ornaments, but to say they were priced high is an understatement, but it is CB. It is too noisy sometimes, though, and I feel like that is something that management should address with the wait staff. horrible experience. We arrived at 8:30pm didn't get sat until 8:55. Majority of the restaurant was empty! We just didn't get helped for damn near 30 minutes?? Finally we get sat , in a CLOSED section. Multiple servers walked right past us and didn't bat an eye, made it very obvious they did not want to take the table. Finally a server walks by after cleaning up her section on opposite side of restaurant, we let her know we were told to sit in this section & have been waiting 25 minutes at the table alone . This girl had no idea we were even there & she quickly tried to get our orders in before the kitchen closed. by the time we got our food it was 9:20ish & all of our food came out bad. Eggs were dry, bacon was so burnt it crumbled into dust. Half of our items we ordered were missing. They literally served us the leftover scraps. As we continued to wait for the rest of our food we could literally HEAR the kitchen staff complaining that they were ready to go home & didn't care that half our food was missing. She had to come out and apologize AGAIN telling us they closed the kitchen, ok.... So We ask her to send out her manager, & the manager refused to come out and just sends her back to us with $4 off our bill. Really?! Come to find out this was our servers 5th day on the job & she had never done a closing shift before. you could tell they "stuck it to the new girl" . She was so sweet & just kept apologizing over & over again. The manager didn't have a care in the world to come address anything, all the other servers were running around the restaurant in their BONNETS and STREET CLOTHES... disgusting. Not one person helped this girl, or even informed her that she had another table in the first place. we had no intentions of tipping after the horrible service we received but we felt so bad for her that we did. We apologized to her for even coming In to the restaurant ... even though we arrived an hour and a half before they closed.... I hope she finds another job because this place will get her NOWHERE. I agree with the earlier post that traveling a bit up the freeway to the Bridgeport location is well worth the effort. You'll have a much better experience there than you will in Flint. The Flint location is an absolute crap shoot as far as service and quality. Your experience will depend on the manager, waitstaff and other current patrons. Sometimes things are good, but very frequently they are not. If you decide to go there, expect the likelihood of long waits, disorganization and unprofessionalism among the staff. There will also be the possibility of large groups of other diners displaying obnoxious and unruly behavior that will diminish our destroy your experience. This is regularly tolerated by the management here. My apologies to the good and competent waitstaff and managers who work hard to make Flint Cracker Barrel a desirable place to visit. It's too bad that your effort is overshadowed by too many other employees there that don't share your same abilities. read more

Unparalleled service and work culture. Every single person I've met at CBs across multiple states is exceptionally courteous and well trained. This is the stuff that other corporations should take notes from. The food is amazing and they deliver the country style ambience. On the minus side the food can be a bit on the unhealthy side but they've recently integrated salads and low cal meals. read more

What an awful experience. The place smelled like a hospital and the food tasted like it. The tables are so close together it is hard to get in your chair without hitting the person behind you. The food if you can call it that. I had the ruben which had maybe 2 slivers of meat on it and a shred of sauerkraut. The sandwich was tiny. It came with a side of dumplings which were awful. There was a line at the hostess station of 4 parties yet there were a bunch of empty tables. Hostess seemed to be barely moving and barely talked to us, like she just didn't care. When we finally were served, my wife's pancakes were over cooked and chewy, sort of like McDonalds pancakes. Waitress was nice enough, but they need to get back in the game.
