    Chicken Fried Chicken

We love a good meal at Cracker Barrel, but this was not. People who came in after us got bread before us and we had to ask for it. Meal was taking longer than expected because of a kitchen backup, which was fine, but they stopped by 5-6 times to apologize, which seemed like overkill. But then the fried chicken had uncooked breading and lots of it (more than the actual chicken). The picture shows only half. We pointed in out to the waitress, who took it, mentioned getting a manager, then disappeared. No manager. Just the trainee dropping our check with nothing else. We asked for a manager's card when we left and they told us they didn't have any and the person walked off. We were totally polite and understanding the entire time until the end. We won't be back to this location.

First, we arrive. We enter through a store that seems like it is trying to make us buy stuff. Next, the restaurant feels crowded with all the paintings. We find our seat and the chairs are uncomfortable and wooden. They give you a single game of pegs on the table. The worker I had felt like they did not want to work. When the worker came she said "What would you like to order?" Implying that she wanted us to order our food. So when we tried, she stopped us and said what drinks? And when I was trying to order a soda, they were out of every single diet soda. Took about ten minutes, and she brought the drinks. I just got a water. After about 15 minute's, she came and asked what we want to order. Came back 20 minutes later, biscuits and gravy. Other restaurants we would get our food by now. I don't like gravy so I will not be adding it. I did try the biscuits and it tasted like normal buttered bread. And I like that. About 5 minutes later I get my food. Food was really good though. 2 stars.

The service is not good here! The menu is soo limited and there's always such a long wait. Bad food. Bad service. No ambience.

I like parking my car in the afternoon and not worrying where I'll need to go eat later. I always sit at the bar as the bartenders are always friendly. You can chill by yourself but you usually can find good conversation with fellow business travelers. $5 happy hour Guinness is worth the price of admission alone, but the food is good. The lemon risotto scallops are the best thing on the menu, though if you're in a junk food mood, the Irish poutine is a sold choice. Beware though, it's very filling. You won't want dinner afterward. They also do occasional specials on the steaks, they're very good and when on special it's a must-get. I travel a lot and doubt I'll ever tire of this place.

First night had a ribeye steak, steamed veggies, mash potatoes. The food was hot, good, but like most ribeyes - tend to be a little fatty. 2nd night, burger and sweet potato fries. Good combo. Bartender was great and very attentive. Don't worry, I had a good work out to try and burn off these meals :-)

The music selection and volume were equally well done, balanced in a way that felt welcoming to every generation. At one point, I almost felt like I had stepped into the bar scene from *The Shining*, not in a creepy sense, but in that nostalgic, timeless atmosphere kind of way. The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. My only recommendation would be for servers to introduce themselves, as that small touch makes the experience feel more personal and welcoming rather than simply transactional.

First, the overall service has consistently been lacking. The hostess at the front has never been particularly welcoming, and the service in general feels pretty disengaged. It's not necessarily outright rude - it just feels like there's no real effort, which sets the tone right away. We've noticed a big decline over the past 6-12 months. It used to be better, but lately it's just not the same. As for the food... it's simply not worth the price. We're talking $100+ tabs and leaving disappointed every time. This last visit really sealed it for us. I ordered something very simple, and my son got a basic chicken sandwich - chicken, bun, pickles, ketchup, cheese. It came out with a barely toasted bun and chicken that tasted like it had been fried in old grease. Not appetizing at all. We also ordered cheese fries, and they were undercooked and just drenched in queso - more like a bowl of cheese with fries tossed in, rather than properly melted, crispy cheese fries. This isn't a one-time experience either - we've tried several times hoping it would improve, and it just hasn't. If you're going for drinks and to watch a game, it might be okay. But for a full meal, especially at that price point, we wouldn't recommend it. Sadly, this last visit was enough for us - we won't be returning.

The restaurant is locally owned and run by the sweetest family, and you can really feel that care in both the service and the food. The space is small, clean, and welcoming, located right off 114 near the IHOP/Wingstop area. Despite the ongoing construction on 114 (which has been a mess), they've stayed incredibly consistent. The food is always good--like, reliably good--and I honestly have zero complaints. I always order the paneer tikka masala, and it is so, so good every single time. My husband and my boys are obsessed with the chicken biryani and swear it hits every time they order it. If you're looking for a great, family-run Indian restaurant with consistently amazing food, this is absolutely one you should try--and keep coming back to.
