Yummmmm. This is what I'll try

Decades of loyalty and one recipe change later -- and I'm genuinely not sure where we go from here. I've been coming to Cracker Barrel for as long as I can remember. The homestyle chicken was never just a menu item -- it was the reason. That thick, crunchy, deeply flavorful crust. The consistently juicy and tender chicken underneath. It was the kind of dish that was so nostalgic. That chicken is gone now. What's arrived in its place has a thin, bland crust and noticeably tougher meat. It tastes like a substitute rather than the real thing. For a restaurant built entirely on the promise of comforting homestyle cooking, changing that dish feels like a quiet betrayal of everything that made it special. Our server was warm and attentive early on but faded toward the end of the meal -- a minor note in an otherwise fine visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The saving grace of this particular trip was the company -- a fun meetup with friends that Cracker Barrel's cozy, nostalgic setting still facilitates beautifully.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere remains charming and the experience is still enjoyable for a group.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But the chicken was my anchor here. Without it I find myself wondering what exactly I'm coming back for. Three stars for now -- with the hope that whoever made that recipe decision reconsiders.

Cracker Barrel Store on Dean Martin Dr. in Las Vegas absolutely delivered! From the moment we were seated, Myriam was on it. She greeted us right away, got our drinks and food order quickly, and everything came out hot, fresh, and fast. That kind of efficiency is rare -- especially when it's paired with genuine warmth. She made great suggestions that turned out to be spot on, checked on us consistently without hovering, and stayed friendly and upbeat the entire time. You can tell she takes pride in what she does. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We also love the Cracker Barrel atmosphere -- all the vintage décor and interesting pieces on the walls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Myriam even pointed out a few curiosities we hadn't noticed before, which made the experience even more fun. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great food, cozy vibe, and above-and-beyond service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back -- and we'll be asking for Myriam!

Absolutely love this place! You can always guarantee a plentiful and tasty meal with great service! We absolutely love the server, Jamie! He will always go out of his way for you and go the extra mile! It's always super busy so make sure go online and get on the waitlist! The old country store is absolutely the best! Need a really cool gift? This is definitely a great place to shop! Love the old-fashioned candy. They always have on hand and just some of the Great apparel, jewelry, and holiday items.

I did a drive up car order and unfortunately once I tapped, I'm here I waited and the order of never came out so I had to physically walk in to retrieve it. I feel like that defeats the purpose for the app pick up to have an option for that if I'm gonna have to go in either way. Once I got in, they were pretty apologetic, but it was still inconvenient on my end as I was hoping it would be grab and go, and I didn't have to leave my car. I went with a cinnamon roll skillet, which came with about six mini rolls. It had the perfect cream cheese frosting and wasn't too sweet. I think this would be the most ideal if you're planning to share a dessert with somebody.

This was actually my first time at Cracker Barrel, and I have to say the highlight of our visit was our waitress. I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she was a young African American woman and absolutely wonderful. From the moment she greeted us, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely sweet. She recommended the iced caramel coffee and even made it the way she likes it and wow, it was so good. One of those small touches that really makes a difference and makes you feel taken care of rather than rushed. She checked on us often, had a great attitude, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. Because of her, we left with a really positive impression and would definitely come back. Customer service like that goes a long way

Not sure why only three stars we had a good experience. Party of eight seated at a big round table. Eddie our server got all the drinks orders and came back for our orders. Got them all correct too. Even noticed something not on a burger and got it added right away. Brought extra biscuits and rolls when asked. Kept our drinks charged. Overall a great level of service. Food was country comfort food and everything was fresh. No complaints from our party.

Came back in after a wonderful experience the day after Thanksgiving. This time we came in on 12/26 with a totally different experience. It was awful this time, cold food, very long time waiting for our food, music way too loud and it was freezing in the restaurant!!! We will never return...

First off shout out to Mary our server. She was super attentive and really sweet. I don't think you can go wrong with Cracker Barrel. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I had pancake, bacon, and hash-browns. Delicious. We all know the ambiance reminds you of down home hospitality. Love the gift shop you can loose your mind and your money in there. Always a great place for breakfast.

Quick service on a busy Saturday. Make sure you check in. Fried pickles and chicken were delicious . The home style chicken noodle soup was superb. So happy I got to finally experience it. Sooo good!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was quite busy but to be expected on the weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the decor and old timey feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It had been a long while since I'd been to a Cracker Barrel, and I forgot how solid breakfast is here. The hashbrown casserole still hits the spot like always. Service was exceptional and the food came out fast. Always fun to wander through the store area afterward and they already had the Christmas merchandise out already, which made it feel festive and nostalgic. Overall, a nice stop and still consistent after all these years.

Not far away from me, but I haven't been here as I'm not a big fan of franchise stuff. But I've heard a lot of good things about it recently. Finally made it here today and it is a good experience. It's very spacious, easy parking and easy access. You walk in a store first before you hit the restaurant. Big shout out for the staff here. All of them are very friendly and seem to enjoy working here. The food comes with good portion and reasonable prices. Very western style and decor inside. Their fried chicken is surprisingly tender and juicy. Love the brown sugar latte which was made by our cute server, David! Will come back soon (you get free appetizer within 30 days by presenting the receipt) for the steak.

Went with a group of friends (4) for lunch around 1230. The entrance is classic CB style. Very nicely decorated for the upcoming holidays. We were seated fast. And our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Got our drinks fast. And took a bit to place our order. Food took a bit to come out but everything came out hot and looking great. I had a sampler plate. Meatloaf and fried chicken and my side was nav and cheese and mash and gravy. Food was good. Was so much food I actually had leftovers for dinner. When I'm in the mood for some good old southern country food this is a good choice.

    Very yummy syrup

We always make a…read morestop in Vegas to stock up on groceries and grab brunch before heading to Zion for camping. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

We were enjoying the music and it was a vibe until it came to pay the bill. At 9:30 PM, a full 30 minutes before the posted closing time of 10:00 PM, the staff began rushing us out while my wife was still eating. When it came time to pay our bill, our bank cards were temporarily unavailable due to a system outage. We had the money. This was not a financial issue. It was a technical one we were actively working to resolve. Instead of being given a moment, security surrounded our table and treated us as though we were attempting to leave without paying. We were not. We never attempted to leave. I want to note that a couple of the security members were actually kind and professional throughout. A manager then approached with immediate hostility white male, tattoos, wearing a white crop shirt, and beige pants) no introduction, and no interest in hearing our explanation. I want to Emphasize That everyone working there refused to give me his name (white male) I even attempted to ask him and he walked away. He made demeaning remarks about our finances and specifically told us that if we didn't pay, he would call the police and trespass us, but if we paid, he would not. We paid. My brother sent $30 via Zelle directly to a security staff member to settle the bill. It was paid in full. He called the police anyway. And trespassed us anyway. I had offered to leave my ID as collateral, leave card information on file, or return the next morning. Every offer was refused before we even got to that point. The responding officers acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate. His own staff was visibly uncomfortable. Unless you are prepared to be treated as a suspect over something completely outside your control, I would think twice before dining here.

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.

Reservation made for 2:30pm made it at 2:00pm just now have wings no fries and my cousin still doesn't have her food at 3:40....and to Christopher I've read your replies and you're disgusting!!! So let me help you with your response...I'm NOT broke, I DON'T need anyone to sponsor or fund my activities when I'm on vacation...DO BETTER!!! However the lemon pepper wings and fries (second request first were cold) tasted delicious. Therapy has potential if the customer service from Chris was better and food arrived in a timely manner. Also witnessed multiple tables abandon their orders due to excessive wait time however ALL the staff is amazing!! Update: actually met Chris after our food came and he is a complete jerk in person too. Drugs are bad people! Save your money and eat elsewhere I will never support this establishment again.
