Yes, Cracker Barrel allows RVers to park in their lot overnight with the polite request that you're not camping - no chairs or campfire - and that if you're having a meal, that you have it with them. So we did! Great service if perhaps a little slow this evening. We were seated immediately and then waited a bit for our server to come by and take our dinner order. Mrs. K. chose the rainbow trout and I decided that the meatloaf would be my dinner. It didn't take too long and we were digging in, sharing sides across the table. Mac & cheese, green beans, fried apples and carrots. All delicious even if the carrots were rather soggy. After dinner, we headed back to the RV and locked up for the night. I hate to leave bad reviews. But this one needs to be done. Everything was terrible. Service, food, etc. Pancakes had to be cut with a knife they were so hard Steak was WAY undercooked. Never got our cornbread muffins. Scrambled eggs were hard fried. Ordered carrots, but never got them. Had to wait over an hour for this terrible food and experience. The waitress literally started to cry at our table. She was visibly upset at something going on in the back. We will definitely not be visiting this Cracker Barrel ever again in MJ! read more

I haven't been to this Cracker Barrel previously and had a good breakfast experience. I appreciate the huge menu, lots of choices. Had great service from check in through time to pay. Water and coffee always full and food served hot. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancakes with their trademarked warm bottle of 100% natural syrup really hit the spot. For reference, I've been eating Kodiak pancakes at home lately and I needed me some classic pancakes. I had Grandmas xxxxx and chose the meat sample. Next time I'll stick to all ham or bacon. Ohhh Cracker Barrel....how I loved you. Our experience on Mother's Day was pretty bad y'all! I choose CB every year for Mother's Day, it is my favorite especially with the kids and has become tradition. This year it was a bit ruined. We know what to expect- when they said 80 min wait - no problem (we planned for this - kids ate something before we came) and we took a lovely drive. We came back and they had bubbles and chalk for the kids out front during what was left of our our wait (about 20 mins). We perused the store. We were in good spirits! We got sat at a table, excited for our meal and that's basically when everything went downhill. Our waitress came over and took our order- (we were ready by the time she came to greet us- that should have been foreshadowing). I asked kindly if she could bring the biscuits out first with our drinks because at this point the kids were getting hungry (I said this verbatim), and she said no problem. Cool. Cool Cool. Well, then we didn't see her for 20+ minutes. She brought drinks, no waters, NO BISCUITS and I asked again politely for biscuits, and my son, not even understanding the situation he is so little was even was saying - I am hungry mom and I know she heard.....this time she was a lil stoic and said "oh ya sure." No problem, maybe she just forgot, maybe she is really busy. We were still happily celebrating my day at this point. Well, then we don't see her for another 15- 20 minutes...we had to ask another server for the biscuits, which she brought out in 30 seconds....and when I tell you we saw our girl 4x TOTAL in the hour+ we were sat and this had nothing to do with being busy on a holiday, because I saw the other 3 servers in our area about 5-8 times before I saw her once...I didn't even catch her name (someone told me Savannah later, but don't even know if that is it) but I could tell you the other three servers names on their aprons because they came over so much passing by us to the tables around us refilling drinks, refilling baskets of biscuits, CHECKING ON THEIR TABLE. The next time our girl came out she brought our food... my entire breakfast was cold....cold eggs. Bleck. Like what?! And no - I am not rude to anyone in person, so I did not get that way with her either, I was still being nice even then. My husband got one refill on his tea at the end of the meal (the final time we saw her), and I knew I needed to ask for the boxes then even though we weren't done eating yet....she left the check then and never returned, never refilled my tea, which was empty halfway through the meal- I mean at least take care of the moms on Mother's Day! And I will tell you I asked for boxes to go and timed it this time and she did not come out of the back...I waited for 22 minutes at that table...with little kids...until I finally asked someone standing by the fireplace waiting to seat people for the boxes..... Before people make excuses, if you are ill- ask someone to cover, if you are busy, (which doesn't make sense because the other servers in our area were rocking it!) Either way have an apology when you do come back, maybe, let us know? Maybe she was new? Okay, well then, let this post be a learning lesson. Today, had a 25 minute wait, perfectly fine. Call us in, ask us to take a smaller table than will accommodate our family, again willing to make that work, so sure, then tell us our wait will be just as long again because they sat others and they were just getting their food. Then asked us to "move". The hostess was rude the entire time, apparently since they have a line they can choose who they serve and a family with more than 2 children was not on their priority list. I love the gift shop that leads to the entry of the restaurant. Inside the eating area is a large open space of tables; but this is a family restaurant with low cost good food. My chicken was great and flavored with a good old-fashioned Southern recipe. The stringbeans were good, but the turnip greens lacked flavor as well as the bread. The peach cobbler was average and could have stood more butter in the recipe. I have been here many times, and this was not the best I have had, but it is close to home cooking and low cost and still one of my favorites. Overall experience was excellent. I went on a Sunday, and it wasn't as busy as we thought it would be, which was a plus. I had heard about the new changes they had made to Cracker Barrel, so we decided to give this location a try. The new windows and glass doors give the restaurant a more modern feel, but I was glad to see that the gift shop remained the same as always. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but we were seated right away. We started our meal with the new fried pickles and although a bit greasy, these were pretty good. My husband tried the new hashbrown casserole Shepherd's pie for his entree. This was huge, packed with pot roast and veggies with a good portion of hash brown casserole on top. He quite enjoyed it! I ordered meatloaf, carrots, okra, and the new loaded hash brown casserole. Unfortunately, I found the casserole underwhelming. For an upcharge (I think $1.99) you can substitute this for a side item. It is the regular hashbrown casserole, and on top was a slice of not quite yet melted cheese and a few bacon bits. I will pass on this next time. Meatloaf and carrots were tasty but about room temperature. The best item on my plate was the okra, which was served hot and it was very good. Of course, Cracker Barrel biscuits were great and completed our meal. Service was okay, but when we placed our order I requested lemons with my water, extra ranch with the pickles, and ketchup to be brought out with the food. None of these items came out with the food, and we had to ask for them again. The wait to be seated was a short 20 minutes, however after being seated we waited over an hour for our food which seemed absurd because the restaurant wasn't even full. This is one of my favorite country food restaurants. I have been to several across the South. Why? You can expect great food and great service here. Their food tastes delicious and I can't think of anything here that I don't like. My favorite side item to get is their mashed potatoes and gravy. I have several favorites to get for my main entrees. One is their fried catfish and another one is their meatloaf. I also usually get their green beans. One tip I would give is to get both biscuits and cornbread when your waitress asks you which one you want. Also asks for butter. I also recommend their sweet tea. Their sweet tea usually has the right amount of sugar in it. Not too much and not enough as it is usually just perfect the way they bring you your sweet tea. Service has always been great here. I just walked in to the hostess and she found a table for me. My waitress took care of me. Actually, all my waitresses have taken care of me every time I visited and dined at this restaurant. We just left and will never be back to this location. Using the online waiting list, which said 10 minutes, we were informed upon arrival that it would be 45 minutes until they could seat out party of seven. Just to be clear, the online reservation reflected our party as 6 vice 7 due to whatever mobile site issues cracker barrel site happened to be experiencing. Once we waited our newly appointed 45 minutes, we were then ushered to two tables of four in the back of the restaurant to be seated separately. When asked if they could be put together, so we didn't have our backs to each other, we were told no. In addition, the waitress waited until all sever of us were standing in the middle of the dinning room and decided to make the hard sell of, "this will be the fastest or it'll be another hour before we can seat you." So now what was an online "10 minute" turned into almost two hours. This is unacceptable and predatory to luring people into ridiculous wait times. If you don't have the capacity or ability to seat anyone else, then don't advertise that you do and waste people's time. This business continues to be on the decline and this is one more example of poorly managed expectation and general inefficiency demonstrated by this company. read more

It was my first time eating at this location since the remodel, and though it looked nice, the lighting was very distracting. They installed new fixtures behind the fans which created a bright strobe effect pointed directly into my line of sight. Even after switching seats with my wife so that my back would have the light, the strobe effect was producing shadows that induced a slight headache. Considering its effect on me, I can only imagine how difficult it would be for many others with sensory issues. As for the service, she wasn't very pleasant and seemed a bit put off by customers. Though she wasn't rude, she didn't have much personality and drive to go the extra mile. My food, on the other hand, was pretty good. I had the shrimp and grits for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful and filling it was. Considering the bad experiences, I would probably seek out another location rather than returning here. This was one of the most enjoyable CB I've ever been to. Almost all of the servers were older and seemed to be on top of their game serving the guest. Most all of them had 4 stars on their aprons which was nice to see. You'd be pressed to find one person with 4 stars were we normally go. The food was pretty good. The eggs could have been cooked better. My scrambled were kind of dry and my wife's Over Medium were delivered well done. Our server quickly remedied and replaced my wife's eggs. My hash browns were perfect as were the pancakes and proteins.
