This photo is the Cracker Barrel breakfast burger it is an epic fail,

We went to the Cracker Barrel for an early dinner at about 415. Traffic was getting heavy and we thought we'd pull over for a late lunch early dinner we got out great waitress very nice and sweet. No one was around at the time and we could see the fireplace very nice. We ask her what was good on the menu. Everything was going well until the food arrived. Then it started becoming disgusting ordered a brand new meal. It was the breakfast burger. This consisted of a roll with American cheese, bacon the breakfast casserole, which is hash brown cheese and a thin burger in the world. When mine arrived I could smell it before it set on the table before me it had been blackened and I'm just not talking about a dark spot I'm talking. The whole thing was black and like you would get a blackened fish. This burger was so beyond being saved they should've pitched it and tried it again, but they served it before the waiters could even walk away. I flipped that but open she saw it. She immediately grabbed the plate and took it back and apologized while running back to the kitchen. My friend had a wonderful meal. I had turned, sat and watched her eat. Nobody came no food arrived. No drinks got refilled. I finally ask another waiter if we could have some roll some cornbread and some biscuits with some butter and jam while they arrived and you could've killed your neighbor with one of their cornbread's although the biscuits were hot and delightful. That was the only thing I actually ate at this restaurant. There is something floating in my water are poor dear waitress was so embarrassed. She never returned. I got up to go pay the bill, not eaten anything but one of the biscuits because my friend ate the other, leaving the cornbread in the basket untouched because it just crumbled apart. It was so hard. This was absolutely one of the most disgusting meals I've ever had at Cracker Barrel and I've been eating at Cracker Barrel for over 30 years back when they had fresh fish and their meals were scrumptious nail Porsche size it has changed and you leave hungry or you don't get your meal at all or your service is complete I was literally run down insisting I take the meal which you see in this picture I was not going to eat it just the smell alone the first one still permeated my nostrils. I took it reluctantly as fate would have it. My other half was at home arrived unexpectedly, and I said I knew you were coming so I brought you dinner. I did not tell him a thing about the meal. I said just give me your honest opinion I reheated his fries and the air fryer after snatching wood for myself. They weren't bad the second time around took 45 minutes to get home, the oil of the casserole and the bacon and the burger had soaked into the bun so badly after reheating that he could not eat the roll. This picture was taken before the reheating was done after the reheating of this meal. It was so greasy if you weren't looking for a heart attack, it was looking for you. I dabbed it with a couple paper towels. I served it to him. He asked me what in the world he was eating. I told him it was something new that had just come out on the menu. You know how I like to try new things this is a breakfast burger. He also said they should scratch it and try again. This was not going to win any awards and it was absolutely disgusting. He loved the casserole he had to take everything apart. The bacon ended up being dog food. The next day the fries really fried in the air fryer. We're finally done to perfection and they were OK however the whole thing completely with a bunch should be scrapped his words out of his mouth so that's definitely three people stating this meal is horrible now take your health in your enhance if you decide to eat it, I'm warning you upfront. It is not their standard at all and make sure you check your hamburger before you sink your teeth in there. I don't know what they're calling a hamburger but was definitely not that and if you ask for them to do the hamburger, meat, medium, medium rare that will not happen whatever type of patty they're using I don't believe there's a stitch of meat in there and a dime is actually thicker than that patty and they're cooking it way too long. It was definitely not any type of meat I have ever eaten might have eaten it, but definitely not burned in that way. It was absolutely disgusting. So if you're looking for a heart attack on the quick side, go ahead and try your luck however, I would recommend you stay far away from that and go with the pancakes and casserole and apples. Stick with something you know cause this meal blows.

It's Cracker Barrell, what can I say? For those of you who are not aware, Cracker Barrell started in Lebanon, TN, so if you are wondering why there are Cracker Barrells every 1-2 miles in Tennessee, that is why. This one had a great gift shop/lobby area with plenty of rocking chairs to lounge in before or after eating. You can download the app and join the waitlist ahead of time. I'd suggest this if you are in town during the busy season to avoid having to wait for a long period of time. The food was pretty good. I mean, it's Cracker Barrell. You get good vegetables, consistent breakfast meals throughout the day, and some good staple southern eats. And they have appetizers now too! We had the fried cheese curds, the 4 vegetable plate, and the kids grilled cheese with a loaded baked potato. Our son enjoyed the grilled cheese and my wife and I split the vegetables and potato. I would say I was not a fan of the greens, which were made with pulled pork. The fried okra was tasty and the Mac n cheese was pretty good. The service at this location was great. Our waiter, Ryan, was very cool. He was helpful with suggestions and always available if you needed anything. The restaurant was clean and the outside was too.

I arrived after the closed and departed before they opened, sadly. But I definitely appreciated the fact that, at least for now, Cracker Barrel supports RVers. I spent the night in my Sprinter van, locked up and secure. We RVers need to be respectful of the space so that this great resource can continue to be available. Campfire Shrimp with andouille sausage! It's so freaking delicious!

Great atmosphere with lots to admire on the walls!!! All the antique decorations are well worth the trip alone. Great people and friendly service. The new campfires meals are delicious.

Second time at a Cracker Barrel. I though the food was good and the price was reasonable. I wish they had these restaurants where I live. I'll definitely go again when I get the chance.

    Meatloaf (raw)

We wanted to get some food from the Cracker Barrel in Sevierville for a special anniversary dinner. We called the order in at 3:00 p.m. paid for it at 3:57 p.m. and still did not receive the mail until 4:20 p.m. when we got home, the order was only half of what we actually ordered, half of the order was wrong, and the meatloaf was raw in the middle. I attached a picture of the meatloaf so you can see how bad it really was. We ordered greens but instead received a pan of mashed potatoes that were dry and crumbled like bread. We also received a pan of macaroni and cheese that was below room temperature. During my hour and a half wait, I also witnessed a waitress walking out of the kitchen carrying a tray of food to deliver to a table, while eating bread and bread crumbs were falling off of her chin. The employees tried to excuse themselves saying that they were busy but as I looked around the corner into the dining area, there were only five, maybe seven tables that were occupied. Yet I still had to wait over an hour and a half for my meal. There were other customers who came in to pick up to go orders as well and had placed them while I was there and received them and paid for them while I was there. After waiting for an hour to pay for my mail, waiting another 30 minutes after I paid $48 for my meal, and witnessing what I did, (the waitress eating while delivering food),  getting home to open up my food and find out half of it was wrong, half of it was undercooked, and some of it was too overcooked, needless to say I was extremely unhappy.

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster. It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.

Our server--I believe his name was Joe--was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Food arrived VERY quickly. We had multiple people check on us throughout our dinner, all very polite. We ordered the fried chicken skins, buffalo frog legs, and bone marrow as appetizers. The chicken skins were HUGE and deliciously crunchy. The buffalo frog legs were very tender. The bone marrow paired very nicely with the bread it's served with. All were very tasty. For the main dishes, we got the 48 oz Tomahawk ribeye (topped with bone marrow butter and a side of fries), as well as the wood grilled lamb. We asked that the tomahawk be rare, specifying charred on the outside and still mooing on the inside, and they absolutely nailed it. The outside, especially the fat, was seared beautifully--it was absolutely delicious. The fries were very fresh and flavorful as well. We'd never had lamb before, so we asked our server to have them cook it the way he suggested. It was cooked phenomenally, and the flavors with the blackberry reduction were amazing. The goat cheese grits weren't overpowering, they were the best cheese grits I've had. The cornbread went very well with the steak. The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.

But that's just my preference. - I kinda changed my mind, the fries are pretty good - the water is flavorless, which was very disappointing. Uncrisp, but still good cold water I suppose - Kind of cold in here, wish I brought a jacket man - bathroom is clean - cute gift shop 9/10, I'll be back.

The fried shrimp, fish, and chicken were seasoned just right and fried golden brown and crispy. Not greasy, not soggy just done the right way. They know how to fry food. Customer service was good the food and it came out so fast I would definitely come back here. Yes huck Finn. lol.

Butter makes it better y'all! Paula Deen, you are so right!!…read more Lunch is the same menu as dinner, but $5 less per person. You can choose between 2, 3 or 4 entrees and all come with 4 sides. Our feast started off with cheddar biscuits dripping with warm, herbed butter. SO GOOD! I should have asked for more of these but I didn't want to get full and not have room for my AYCE entrees and sides! Peach tea was very sweet! We later diluted it with water and it suited our taste better, but I know they generally like it sweet in the south! We got the four entree four sides lunch for $23.99 per person and chose: - Fried chicken: tasted like Popeye's. The white meat was dry. The dark was where it's at. - Pot roast: Super tender, but salty. Comes with rice too. - Fried catfish: Awesome! Moist, flaky fish and crisp batter. Loved the tartar sauce too. Get this! - Chicken and dumplings: I guess this is how it's supposed to taste but we both didn't think it was good. - White cheddar mashed potatoes: Creamy and delicious! They mash the red skins in there too. - Creamed corn: Good, mixed with some grits. - Broccoli casserole: Awesome! Get this one too! - Coleslaw: Very good! Creamy, but not overly-so, and the crunchy buttery crackers on top made it! Desserts are $1.99/each and you can take it to go. We got one of each: - Peach cobbler: not enough peach. A weird goopy filler. Would have been better with some crunch. - Ooey gooey cake: Too sweet. - Banana pudding: Good! - Chocolate ooey gooey cake, special of the day: Yummy! Like a thin moist brownie. We liked this one much better than the regular ooey gooey cake. Kari was our server and she was as sweet as pie! Ask for a seat by the window so you can people watch below and the fountain show! Lol We ordered the Savannah where you get to to pick three meats and your choice of veggies. The food is so good. I just love the family style dining and the friendly staff. There's a gift shop located downstairs where you can find almost anything from Apple butter to nice writing ink pens oh and even Paula Deen lip balm. It's always a joy to eat at a Pula Deena, I've visited the one in Savannah and Nashville, it's only fitting I visit this one as well. I hate the one in Savannah closed last year, I'm going to miss that one. There's plenty of parking, so ya'll just come on in and eat!
