I enjoy Cracker Barrel for the consistency with food and good value. I've been staying at a hotel near this Cracker Barrel for work for a couple of weeks so I've been here a few times. I'd like to get the veggie powder or the lemon pepper grilled trout which is delicious. I requested the server Gianna a few times. The food has been good every time. Gianna has been good every time. I do feel like the speed of getting food has taken a little while here. The first night was a Sunday night and the dining room was pretty full and everyone was ordering fried chicken and I guess it was going pretty slow and a big group of people walked out on Gianna and I felt bad for her. It wasn't her fault. I have not been in a hurry, so it really hasn't bothered me. I would come back here no problem as long as I wasn't in a super hurry. read more

Sooo miss managed I don't where to start!!! Multiple full tables kept getting up and storming out yelling at non responsive managers with no results. People were yelling thru the restaurant saying they have been sitting at their table and still don't have their food. We sat there with our food in front of us after about 45 minutes and then wait an additional 15 before the waitress got back with silverware. It's terrible there.!!! We didn't even wanna come in here because this happens all the time and we hear all the terrible things about this Cracker Barrel so we tried to place it pick up order to go called seven times and kept getting transferred and then left on hold for 20 minutes. Some of the waitresses are hustling and seriously are trying but the management like nothing you ever seen!!! Sad! read more

I placed an online pickup order through the Cracker Barrel website at approximately 5:15 PM today. I received an order confirmation and my credit card was charged immediately. I sent someone to pick up my order at 5:45 PM, but the restaurant was unable to locate the order. By 7:25 PM, the issue still had not been resolved. I first spoke with Katy, who placed me on hold for a manager for approximately 45 minutes and never returned to the call. She stated that she could not assist me. The call was then picked up by Sue, who explained that she was only a cashier and was also unable to help. After remaining on hold even longer, Festus answered, asked for my name, and then placed me on hold for an additional 15 minutes. I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money. This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. I was charged for an order that the restaurant could not locate, spent well over an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue, and received little to no assistance from multiple employees. I expect a much higher level of customer service from Cracker Barrel and hope this matter is reviewed to prevent other customers from having a similar experience. read more

We waited over an hour for our food to be brought out. When it came out, the quality was poor and items were missing. One beverage was comped from our tab for the inconvenience. We talked to management and they refused to take off the menu item that has pieces missing. The waiter was visibly distressed. The wait staff was very kind and clearly trying their best, but it was clear that management did not seem supportive. Many patrons also appeared upset at the long wait time, with one table even leaving before their food arrived. We will not be returning due to the poor management of this establishment. read more

Me and my family went to this Cracker Barrel on a Sunday and it was a bit chaotic. Too many people not enough staff... food was delicious, definitely recommend the steak and shrimp plate. My family and I went to this Cracker Barrel tonight and wow! So disappointed with my terrible service. We were there over 2 hours and our food NEVER came. The waiter wouldn't even tell us the system supposedly dropped out our orders. The manager didn't even check on us but went to several other tables. We stopped at Cracker Barrel during our trip from St. Louis to Chicago to use the restroom and ended up exploring the shop. Although we didn't eat, we were impressed by the variety of cute and unique items! I found two adorable Christmas ornaments for my dad that I couldn't resist. One suggestion: they could use clearer signs for where the line starts. I stood in an aisle waiting for the cashier, only to be told that the line was actually in the middle aisle. A little more guidance would make the shopping experience even better. Overall, though, Cracker Barrel is a fun stop for charming finds! read more

Never again on a Sunday. It was extremely crowded and the wait to be seated was an hour and fifteen minutes. Then another hour to receive food. There were thirteen of us to feed. Staff and management was very kind and worked hard to make sure we were comfortable while waiting for our food. My brother and I started with strawberry and peach mimosas which were delicious. Then they brought out hot biscuits and honey. We sat and talked and enjoyed each other. Of course, when our food came, there was a bit less talking and a lot more chewing. We all enjoyed our food. We did a little shopping making purchases of old school candies and creative Christmas ornaments. Love Cracker Barrel, we'll be back, but not on Sunday. read more

I actually really like Cracker Barrel. I got their southern fried chicken and had Mac and cheese and also potatoes on the side. The mac & cheese was good, but I honestly did not want to eat it because there was a small black hair in it. So I got rid of it. I probably should have said something to the waitress but I just didn't eat it. The cornbread was good. My fiancé ordered the meatloaf which honestly looked terrible but was really delicious. He loved the dumplings and enjoyed the okra. The loaded hash brown casserole tots were really good as well. I did enjoy those. I am highly disappointed of the service. I normally come out for great food but in recent months it's been going down hill and I try to give this location the benefit of the doubt. Today I put myself on the waitlist and I got the text that my table was being prepared and come to the front and the lady told me that there was a table ahead of me. I been waiting for 45 mins in total time and then when I went back to see what the update they told me that I lost my table and it's was no show when I was there in person in front of the lady that my table was ready. On a road trip our family of four stopped for breakfast at this location before heading into Chicago traffic. We were the only patrons when we first arrived. The waitress who sat us seemed moody. As we waited for our meal 3 elderly gentlemen came in and asked to sit in the same spot they had last week. She answered in an annoyed tone that she had no clue where that was. If I was them I'd choose to patron another establishment that remembers them and appreciates their business. Surprisingly our food took quite a long time considering there were no other orders competing with ours. The food came out luke warm and was either flavorless or out right tasted awful. When she brought our bill she asked if it was good and my husband was like honestly no but it's ok. And she took offense and started explaining the sausage was smoked. We said yeah it just wasn't good and we frequent Cracker Barrel. She asked us what we wanted, to have it remade or something. My husband clarified he was just honestly answering her question and didn't want anything she said ok and stomped off. Would not recommend this location. Long time fan of Cracker Barrel here....the gift shop more so than the food. Just went here this past Thursday with my mom for breakfast. 11:00 am. Not too crowded. Seated quickly, server came right away. A nice gentleman that appeared to be a manager came to our table and made small talk. We both knew what we wanted when we walked in the door, a Mommas Breakfast, so we ordered, and they came QUICK! Like less than 5 minutes. In my opinion, Mommas Breakfast is the best thing on their menu, been eating them for years. The pancakes were kind of rubbery and could NOT be cut with just a fork, we needed a butter knife to cut them. The bacon was awful, barely lukewarm and totally overcooked. The (scrambled) eggs were flat and tasteless. I mean this is a pretty simple breakfast to screw up that bad. Now we realize why we were served so quickly, those pancakes were definitely made before hand and warmed up. The bacon too, and probably the eggs. Definitely not worth $31. Our server was super nice though. Left quite a bit on our plates as that gift shop was calling. They always have a lot of cute stuff and today was no exception! Lots of nice Christmas gifts. Also a lot of staff on the floor, which I've never seen before. They were helpful, but I think they were there more to deter stealing. If my review was based on the food alone, it would have been one star. The service was good, the cashier was super nice, the store and restaurant were clean and inviting. I'm often at a loss of words when reviewing US chain restaurants because sometimes they're so bad that it's hard to be honest and diplomatic in the review. I will start by saying the our server, Anthony was amazing and quite accommodating, which is why they get 2 stars. He was very friendly and helpful through our experience. The food was okay. There are aspects that they do very well, like the fried catfish... it is especially tasty for a chain restaurant. I think that depends on the people in the kitchen though. Also, the greens are always very good! The ambiance is what gets me and usually sets apart a local spot from a chain. THEY NEED TO MOP THE FLOOR!!! It was gross. When you're growing up and only have other chains with dark lighting and dirty floors to compare it to, it's not so bad. However, once you experience other types of dining, you big to develop expectations that the Cracker Barrel and other chains, often do not meet. The consensus for me is that they need to do a better job of cleaning their restaurant. read more

We come here every Sunday for breakfast so today was extra special because bothers my birthday . We don't mind the wait because sometimes that's what's required however we waited 1hour and 30 minutes . We were then seated and the server came by and took our order it was then we waited over an hour for a simple breakfast meal , we asked on several occasions for silverware and we watched others who came after us get utensils yet we were asked did we mind eating off plastic ware ? Yes I do mind while I'm watching others eat off silverware. It's now 3:38pm and we are just now leaving after a long wait and food that was not up to par like we have each week. So I decided to go back today and see what'll happen......Very glad I did. The host was friendlier than the last, quick seating and as soon as I touched the menu a serving angel, Lisa B Denton , appeared. I had her excellent service before and this time she did not disappoint. She took order, was prompt with drinks, food even tasted better than last time. My mother was insistent on taking her here for dinner after church. So, like a good little son, I did. She got the salmon dinner, and I ordered the fried turkey dinner. They are shy with the sides. I know in the kitchen they are giving everyone one scoop of sides and to me, not cool. This is my rule: if I can see the interior of the plate, there is not enough food on the plate. The meal was tasty. The fried turkey is different but enjoyable, seasoned, and juicy. My mother enjoyed her salmon. The loaded potatoes were a lazy execution, to say the least. A slice of cheese, barely melted on top, and bacon bits thrown on top of everything. I am struggling with giving 3 stars. The price is affordable, which explains the crowd. The cheese curds as an appetizer was given to us in one big lump (how do we eat that?). The food was tasty. But the portions have me singing: "Never too much" by Luther Vandross (RIP) ...because they will NEVER give you too much food! read more

I love Cracker Barrel! The food is amazing here! I always order the country boy breakfast or the sampler. The biscuits are homemade and so moist and fluffy also served with the best homemade gravy. I usually get the country ham which is nice and salty. The pancakes are sweet and so filling. The fried apples are so good, too! My favorite is the breakfast casserole. So yummy! The service is always fast and friendly. They have a ton of seating here and it is decorated so cute. They also have a really nice country store with so many knick knacks and items to purchase for yourself or a nice gift. I just wish there were more Cracker Barrels around. We were watching TV and realized we had not been to Cracker Barrel in over 1 year. So we got up got ready and came to Cracker Barrel. It's very crowded and very loud in here. But we didn't have to wait long: It's a very rainy day so I was surprised so many people are here.. first things first our table was not cleaned all the way they left open used creamer on the table, and syrup from the previous patrons. Our waitress is Kiara and she's very polite and patient the two did not know what they wanted. Food was good, hot and fresh.
