Extremely bad service. I took my wife's family to try this place for the first time for an American breakfast. Unluckily, we were the second in line to enter, seated second, part of a party of five, next to the kitchen. We ordered right away because we knew what we wanted. The service was slow. I was patient, but at the one-hour mark I started asking for updates, repeatedly asking every 10 minutes. I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't seen other tables finishing their meals and receiving second courses. We got our food almost 2 hours after sitting down; our food came out wrong, cold, and tasted horrible. I decided to send everything back. The "manager" asked what was wrong and justified the slow service, but it didn't make sense because other parties who were seated after us had already left. All excuses made no sense. I definitely felt unheard, ignored, and treated differently. Probably they don't care about this but I'll never go to a Cracker Barrel in my life. read more

This was the worst experience we have experienced at Crackle Barrel.. Not only was it hard to understand our server, but her voice was soo low it was annoying.. She brought out Faucet water, we had to ask for biscuits and she brought out bitten muffins that were probably someone else's .. we asked for scrambled eggs and she brought raw eggs .. thank god i noticed it and saved my poor elderly mother from putting that disgusting crap in her mouth .. I call the supervisor to come look at all this and the server takes all the food to prevent us from taking pictures .. The food fell very short from expectation. Most of it was barely warm, eggs were dry, beignets, dry-but undercooked, Fried apples (usually the most consistent) were so mushy and covered in so much cinnamon (maybe bottom of the tray?) This is the first location in Southern California I've visited, aside from my experiences in Florida. Same great layout with the country store and rocking chair porch in the front! Restaurant did a good job with spacing out tables for the dine in guests, as we're still in phases for quarantine. The breakfast was just as great as i remember it from all the times I've eaten here in Florida. The buttermilk pie (cold and creamy for a hot day) and the fried apples are just a hit! Cracker Barrel is one of our favorite restaurants when traveling since there is none in Orange County. After the incident with no heater lamp at outdoor section during winter, a gentleman at CB corporate contacted me and gave me a $10 gift certificate. We used the certificate at another CB in St Georges Utah, came back to this location 2 months ago (and forgot to update my review) We are here again today and the experience was fantastic. Our server Hector was on break so he came to say hi and introduced Kenny to assist us. Food came out fast and yummy, Kenny came by to check on us numerous times. Cracker barrel has consistently great country food and very attentive servers. Cleanliness is good. The charming fireplace was aflame while we were eating and added to the ambiance of a country kitchen experience. The attached country store carries every and anything you would want in a country store. This was our first time going to any Cracker Barrel and it was amazing! The people were all super nice- especially Adrian and Carrington. For starters, their biscuits and cornbread were so delicious! On our way to Mammoth Mountain, we took a pit stop to Victorville's Cracker Barrel restaurant. We decided to do the takeout route and ordered at the counter. The staff was kind and attentive to where they asked questions about the specifics of what we wanted. We ordered the yogurt parfait, sunrise sampler, and two momma's breakfast. While we waited, we browsed the store and found many interesting things that caught our attention. It was about a 15-minute wait until our order was ready. Taking it back to the car, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious but the bacon and sausage were dry and a bit salty. The eggs were a bit distasteful but the yogurt parfait was well balanced in flavor. Overall, the food was okay while the customer service was amazing. read more

Came here for breakfast today at the Victorville location This place is very clean It was extremely busy yet all of the employees were able to accommodate all the needs of all the customers. If you go for breakfast, be sure you ask for Misael as your server. He is new, but he is extremely considerate of your needs and highly professionally trained. We were blown away by his service. It totally justified a 20% tip. Also, the general manager LC was there helping out with the staff, and making sure all the customers were being satisfied with their needs. First time never saw that at another Cracker Barrel, of the upper management is helping alongside the employees has a lot to say about the atmosphere and character of this location. I always want their crispy edge pancakes when I see the signage from the I-15. So of course I stopped and got a some pancakes, and lo and behold I find out that their fried chicken is available all the time! Well I ended up getting both, because life is too short! The portion of chicken was too much for me so I had automatic leftovers. The chicken breading was flavorful and the chicken was soft and moist. I enjoyed it! The service is great most of the time. I wish I could get a refund for the food I ordered this evening. It's way too salty to eat. First of all, I pulled in and checked in 5 minutes early. But after waiting 10 minutes after my pick-up time, still, no one came outside. I decided to go inside, and pick-up my curbside order. I found it setting on a shelf. I'm sure it had been setting on the shelf for 10 minutes. It was not busy in the store at all. I think they forgot all about me. It isn't close to Los Angeles but it's in route to Las Vegas if you're headed that way. My husband and I stopped here for breakfast. I was excited for him because I knew he would enjoy the food. Being a southern native I enjoy eating fried Fish, fresh baked Biscuits, & home made gravy etc. But baaaaaaaabbbbee, Cracker Barrel has theee best freaking Pancakes EVVVVERAAA!! The portions here are enormous so be prepared to be stuffed coming here. On our way back from Vegas we try to make it a point to stop by here. The food options, all day breakfast and their sweet tea is something that I will always come back to. So sad that I did not grow up near one of these and the closest one to me is hours away. We had the chicken pot pie, meatloaf and the original fried chicken. Had to say the fried chicken was the star of the show. The meatloaf was good but needed more sauce to me. On my way to Las Vegas I spotted this restaurant from the freeway. I knew I wanted to stop and eat there on my way back to California, so we did. I guess everyone had the same plan as we did because they were packed. The store was packed the restaurant was packed but the wait was less than 15 minutes which was great. My husband ordered a burger with fries and I ordered the country shrimp which came with hush puppies and three sides and we order lemonades. The food was tasty, the service was great and the store was charming. If you have never been to this restaurant FYI: you enter through the store which has adorable, unique merchandise. They have Purses, belts, children's clothing, knick knacks, candy, shoes/boots, clothing, souvenirs, jewelry and other hidden treasures. From the store you are taken to your table to order food, drinks. When you are paying for your food you go back into the store to a set of registers where you can pay for your food. Merchandise you find in the store must be purchased before and after you meal (you can't take unpaid for merchandise into the restaurant). read more

Honest review It's not easy finding good food spots...I think the reason is because ppl don't write honest reviews. Here goes... We chose this restaurant because of our experience in Texas. We thought it would be the same and we were sadly mistaken. The service was decent and it resembles the one in Texas but the food was awful. I ordered French toast and got raw French toast. The bacon and sausage patty were microwaved. Gravy was cold. I do not have a good comment about the food. It was just terrible. Never coming back. People will pay money for a good meal. Service was great!!! The waitress, hostess and mangement are doing such a great job here. Thats one of the charms of this franchise, they are great are hiring people. At least thats my experience. I've been eating at Cracker Barrel for 20 years. They have the name but not the recipes or possibly not the RIGHT chef that know how to prepare southern food or comfort food is what they are callimg it now. Well, i didnt feel the comfort in the food here. I felt disappointment. I ordered greens they taste like they came out of a can. Corn muffin was dry, I couldnt spread the butter on it and it fell apart. Hashbrown casserole??? I dont think so....this place slapped a slice of generic cheese on top hashbrowns, and ruined it. Perhaps this place should consider getting another cook or pay extra for the authentic recipes, that are tried and true. When I was in the Navy and stationed in the south my friends and I used to come to Cracker Barrel all the time. So I have fond memories of this place. My sons just so happened to have a football game in Hesperia and we saw there was one close. So we decided to go. We came in, looked around the store a bit, sit down and ate. The food was pretty good. Maybe I was just younger or maybe the food was slightly better in the south but I remember the food being a little better than what we ordered. But it was still good. The service was good and friendly and all staff. However the food was terrible! I had coffee that was so old bottom of the pot, vegetable soup that had zero flavor and a salad which did look fresh however I don't like the dressing. I did eat the packaged crackers they were good! I've ate at the Cracker Barrel in Arizona and it was very good. I really don't understand they should follow the same protocol as other restaurants of Cracker Barrel.
