Went to this place for Good Friday with family members, the food itself was good but the pricing was almost double what other places charge for the same thing, I usually get blue crab and something else to try and gauge the seafood in my own way, this time I got 1 pound blue crab and 1 pound muscles in their combination sauce in the spiciest option they have, the order came with corn and potatoes, upon receiving the food it looked really nice and was pleasing to the senses, and as such the taste was actually pretty good a little salty but good, my wife ordered crawfish and shrimp and my baby had the chicken tenders (really good lol) so the consensus about the food itself was that it was clean and tasted good, the service on the other hand was a little less appetizing and contributes to this rating pretty heavily, I won't say it was the servers fault completely because I was paying more attention to my family than the service the ambiance was actually nice but a little too much like a red lobster or Applebees, nothing much to say about that. All in all the food was good and would definitely go back if invited but not so much as a craving. read more

I've frequented this location several times over the last few months. Although the reviews in other locations are terrible, I would say that this one was pretty decent. I would get the same order, which is the snow crabs, the headless shrimp, corn, potato, and I would add sausage. Half a pound of each. Half a pound of sausage, half a pound of crab, half a pound of shrimp. I've noticed on to-go orders the kitchen has a terrible habit of giving you old food when you're taking food to go, because you're not there to send it back. I go to pick up my food. The crab instantly looks dried and desiccated. It was hollow when I cracked the shell. I called in and explained to the manager what was going on. She tells me that if I can come back, they can replace it. I'm like, at this time, I'm not near the location. I'm all the way up in Spring35mins away. I won't be back home until later in the afternoon. She's like, well, unfortunately, I can't replace it until you bring the food back. Okay, fine. I'll do that. I make it back down to the location. I give it to her. She takes it in the bag. One, I have never known a restaurant to be able to take food into their kitchen that has been outside and a customer has consumed or touched it. To bring it back into the kitchen is, I'm sure, against some health code violations. Because when you go to a drive-thru, they won't take food back through the drive-thru if they've handed it to you in your car; that's with most restaurants, most fast food drive-thrus, Starbucks, McDonald's, Popeyes, all of those places, they will not take it back into the window. So, for this restaurant's manager to take it back into the kitchen, I found that to be rather disgusting and questionable. She comes back out with my bag and she tells me that they replaced everything except for the shrimp because I had eaten the shrimp. Mind you, I did not eat a half a pound of shrimp. There was no way I ate a half a pound of shrimp in the time that it took me to leave their location taste a few shrimp and then realized the crab was trash and stopped eating it all. I maybe ate a total of four shrimp and I knew that was not a half a pound. Like I said, I frequented this place often. I get the same thing every single time. So, here we are. I'm home. I attempt to eat my food for the second time and guess what, there's no shrimp. I call the manager and tell her, this doesn't make any sense, you told me they replaced everything, but at a minimum, they should have left my shrimp if you weren't going to replace the full order. I felt as a manager, she should have replaced the entire order as a courtesy considering the drive I had to make all the way back to get this order redone. But, she didn't and that was fine, but at least give me back what I paid for. She tells me that she's going to go check the kitchen and see what happened because they were supposed to replace everything except for what I had eaten. Again, as a courtesy, you should want the meal to be replaced as it was ordered. But, whatever. I didn't make a fuss about that. But, when I got home and realized that the shrimp that I paid for were not there, that was a problem. This manager proceeds to go into the kitchen. She states she was going to call me back. She calls me back and told me that she had went into the trash, found the bag that I had returned, and said that there were no shrimp there except for two. Okay, well, at a minimum, I should have two shrimp. I should not have no shrimp. That was my argument. But it's impossible that I'd eaten half a lb of shrimp whereas I usually eat it in 2 sittings. In tasting the replaced crab, I said, you know what, I just want a refund. I'm going to be completely honest. I am dissatisfied with this whole experience as a whole. Today, I just want a refund. She agreed that if I returned the food, that she would refund my money. So, here we are. I'm headed back now to drop off the old food. And, I believe this lady is going to take it back into the kitchen...again. It is absolutely disgusting. The food here is about four stars. I've been here about three times and two out of the three times the food was amazing the last time it was quite convoluted to order. I'm not sure if it was the cashiers birthday, but it really took us about 45 minutes just to order a pound of crab legs, and a pound of shrimp ordered extra corn and the corn was not sweet this time. I will start this review by saying that the 2 stars had NOTHING to do with our server, Beyonce. She was great. We decided to stop by Crafty Crab in Pearland on a Sunday mid-afternoon. We ordered the boiled crab and shrimp (1 lb). The food and drink arrived promptly. For the crab we were not supplied crab/nut crackers or anything aid in opening the crab. We were told they only had a limited number of crackers and as soon as available they would provide 1 set for our table. We asked for the manager. The manager also said that they did not have enough tools and that the server could have cracked the crab for us. I thought this was ludicrous. She did say the had zippers in the back and provided us one. How do you sell crab and not have the tools to eat it? The server was unaware of the zippers which were kept in a secured office. I've been waiting forever for a place like this to come to the area. Boiled seafood was steaming hot and seasoned well. Delicious wet flavor at the bottom of the bag. Super friendly and prompt waitress. Party of 2 seated immediately around 6pm on a weekend. Wait for food wasn't long. Clean well decorated place with lots of TVs and will soon have a full bar. I hope this place sticks around for the long term. One suggestion I have is to add a few choices for people who don't like seafood (there's always that one person in your group that doesn't lol). This was my first time ever coming to a Crafty Crab. When I saw that it was a new location opening up near me, I had to try it. Overall the food was good. They have nice size TV's on the inside and it was a pretty cool vibe. My waiter was nice, even the girls at the front was friendly. I saw a lot of complaints about how they were rude but I did not experience that at all. We ordered the Steamed Oysters in "The Boom" Seasoning. Mild of course because I don't eat spicy. And that seasoning was SO GOOD!!!! We also ordered the seafood platter with the same seasoning. It came with crawfish, clams, mussels, crab legs, potatoes, and corn. We added sausage and eggs. My only complaint about that is I wish it had more crawfish in the bag and the sausage is cut up in thin slices and I can tell they were cheap. I prefer links in my boil. We ordered some fried oysters to go and they were good but I don't think they were fresh. My stomach was not nice to me the next day. I ordered boiled crawfish and clams for takeout at 5:30pm for pickup at 6:45pm. The order was not ready to go when I got there and I had to wait 18 minutes until 7:03pm for it. Upon arriving at home and trying to eat the food, I figured out that they got the order wrong, too. I ordered the crawfish with hot Cajun spice -- it had only salt in it, and a bit too much. Good crawfish has flavors like lemon, orange, celery, onion, pepper, garlic, clove, bay leaf. These had only salt. The clams were supposed to be just butter and garlic, they had so much black pepper that they were hardly edible. Also the garlic was prepared jar garlic with preservatives, and not fresh. We went on a Thursday night so there was no wait for a table but that was as far as we got. We sat there for 15 minutes and nothing, no one came to the table.
