Sterling Collision Center is probably one of the best repair facilities in Orange County. Yes, they take care of some real nice cars like Bentley, Lambo, McLaren, Aston Martin etc. However, They gave me the same service with my low miles baby 2004 Chevrolet Z71 Suburban. I had a lady turn left in front of me in a 87 Toyota mini truck and I would have killed her if I did not swerve. Unfortunately, she still made contact with the whole drivers side of my suburban. It had damage on the Front Bumper, Drivers Fender, Drivers Door, Passenger Door, Rear Quarter & Rear Bumper! After I called my insurance & told them where I wanted to take it, I got a call from Bryan Mercado at Sterling. He set up a time for me to bring the truck buy and get looked at. I showed up, my rental car reservation was taken care of, Bryan had a water waiting and minimal paperwork for me to fill out. As he looked at the truck he noticed I had child seats and asked if they were in the car and if so are they ok. I told him how kind was to ask, but it was fortunate they were not. Bryan, was not only professional, but, kind and caring and made the whole process seamless. He kept me up to date on the repairs and let me know the timeline they were shooting for and came in under that timeline. When I went to pick up my baby, I was taken back! It looked amazing. I called on Tuesday morning requesting for an appointment as referred by Porsche Irvine. The lady who answered the phone was unhelpful and rude. I told her that my car was damaged on the freeway by unsecured wood planks and tools from a truck, and that I had already contacted State Farm (SF) to start the claim. I also requested to use Sterling Collision Center because my dealer recommended them and they had good Yelp reviews. To my surprise, when the receptionist heard that I'll be going through State Farm with my claim she abruptly and rudely told me "we don't deal with State Farm!" Oh... I told her that previous Yelp reviews had mentioned working with SF to repair their cars here. She quickly told me, "We used to work with them but not now!" Oh okay...I wasn't aware of that because my insurance was willing pay you. The only way I could get service by this place is if I pay cash- yea no! This lady was rude and was of no help. I wouldn't recommend calling this play let alone have them repair you car. This business at first impression is unprofessional and unhelpful! I'll take my business elsewhere even though they're not contracted with SF. At least they're willing to work with me and SF to help repair my car. My Black Porsche Cayenne was parked by valet in the underground garage of a chic hotel in LA for 2 nights. I noticed liquid on the hood and back of my car and incorrectly assumed it was just water. I had the car washed the day we returned from LA only to discover the stains would not wash off. I was really upset and needed expert help. Evan at Porsche Newport Beach gave Ray Shahi's cell number along with the highest recommendation. Ray immediately returned my call and requested I send him photos. He said he had seen this issue once before on a $7MM Ferrari and that they were able to fix it. He said we needed to move quickly and found a spot for me in a busy shop schedule. I took my Audi Q5 to Sterling Collision Center to get some dings out and my A/C button fixed last week and loved the quality of work and service I was provided by Paula. They don't care about the customer or the customers car.  High end exotics just left half disassembled and exposed to the elements. Bad customer service. Theres better shops. AAA assigned me to this body shop on a rear fender bender that would require the replacement of rear bumper, bumper tray, and a side fender trim.  AAA told me to drop it off anytime.  Upon arrival I was sent away because "I didn't have an appointment".  I had to make an appt they then made me wait 30 minutes before Bryan Mercado could come out take a 5 minute look at the car, snap 5 cell phone pictures and that's it.  Couldnt make the 5 min while i was there i guess. After waiting several days without update I reached out and got a preliminary estimate that was wholly devoid of part #'s for replacement parts (because it was just a thrown together estimate).  When questioned about the lack of part #'s Bryan simply replied "we'll figure it out when we disassemble it - which basically meant he couldn't be half arsed to put together a real estimate.   When I called him out on this and lack of paint blend - he informed me that I could "take my vehicle to a certified Mercedes Collision Center" - basically blowing me off.  I was then informed parts were a week out but that they could only schedule me in for an appointment 6 weeks out.  I decided to pass on this clown show of a body shop. It's clear by the attitudes of the employees at Sterling that THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CAR.  Look at all the half disassembled exotics parked outside just exposed to the rain and elements.  They don't care - go elsewhere. Note: i did a summer at a body shop ~25 years ago helped them integrate an adp estimate system (on a pentium lol). Learned a few things abt how a body shop should function. read more

Sterling Collision Center and Bryan Mercado are so good, five stars doesn't begin to give them the credit deserved. I have a modified 2013 GTI Drivers Edition with 35k original miles, that is my baby! I wanted to add a European Edition 35 Bumper and Side Skirts. Seeing that this car is pristine, and hadn't been in a collision, I was greatly hesitant to replace panels with non-factory paint. I got a great referral to Sterling. I literally picked Bryan's brain for two months, and ordered the parts from Germany, that took another 6 months to get. Bugging the hell out of him the entire time. He was so patient and considerate. I drove two other shops off in the "in between time". I later discovered that this shop is a certified repair center for Lamborghini, McLaren, Bentley, Rolls... You name it... My GTI was far from the garage Queen at this shop, but Bryan accommodated every request, including keeping my car indoors the whole week. "In a stall with no vehicles on either side". The paint match, metallic, orange peel and clear coat are a PERFECT match. Even better than factory, given the variance of steel to plastic. INCREDIBLE!!!! Bryan stayed in contact the entire time, giving me updates, and calming my nerves. I can't even put into words how satisfied I am. They do not typically accommodate "custom" work, but seeing that these updates were OEM, I was grateful that they helped me. I can't say enough!!! read more

I searched around local collision centers partnered with BMW dealerships when I found Sterling BMW and their partnered collision center, Sterling Collision Center. I brought my car by their satellite location on Sterling BMW's campus and dropped it off the same day after finding out that they were a Farmers certified collision center, making everything so much easier to work out with insurance. With the car being brand new, the parts took a bit longer than expected, but that's nothing really to put on the shop. Once they arrived and the repairs were made, the car came out looking just as good as when I drove it off the lot.
