Giving this place one star is even pushing it.... The one good thing is that the good tables were hot.... I walked in here and go the heebie jeebies! The bathrooms left much to be desired, I should have left when I saw all of the trash in front of the door on the ground.... The food was bland, sticky, and left me nauseous.... The server was nice but I felt a bit rushed when she brought the check after my second plate asking me if I was ready to pay. Just take my advice and avoid this buffett. It was just too dark, dimgy, and lackluster to me.... Go at your own risk!!

My Crazy Buffet lunch of sushi!

The family stopped here around 12pm on a Friday for lunch, cause it's one of our children's favorite spots. Husband and I each took a child and started making their plates. There were several items that were low, but as soon as I was thinking that, several carts came rolling out with pipping hot fresh refills! We ate piping hot fried sweet and sour fried chicken bites, egg rolls, onion rings, French fries, fried fish, nuggets, fried plantains, dumplings, lo mein, mei fun, beef and chicken and broccoli, egg drop soup, sticky rice in banana leaves, dumplings, freshly made sushi and seaweed salad and much more! Buffets are the best for people that want just a little bit of everything! There is a Mongolian option and a hot curry and pho area as well. There are countless options, and it's impossible to try everything. So many proteins, like chicken, beef, fish, and seafood options. After feasting, we all enjoyed fresh fruit and lots of options of frozen treat! The restaurant was clean, our server Liliy was so kind and attentive to clearing our dirty plates. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but the quality of food, freshness, endless selections, and price is incredible!!! I highly recommend this place to anyone that cannot decide what to eat or wants just a bit of everything whether it be Chinese, Mongolian, salad, American, and fried deliciousness!

My experience

The service was horrible, no resolution, only disrespect! I tried to understand what happened and was basically ignored!

The crazy buffet has everything to satisfy your big back Chinese buffet needs. Very laid back place in terms of atmosphere. Service is always good with an attentive wait staff. You can dine in or take out. You can hit the buffet or grab what you want and have them cook it habachi style on the grill. Is it too of the line Chinese buffet, no. Is it definitely a spot you will come back to, absolutely. Never had a bad experience and would recommend for anyone looking for something good a a cheap price.

Men's bathroom

Over all the food was okay. just very very bland. the selection was not too good a lot of food could have been restocked, for example the desserts only had one new thing by the time we had left. we were here for roughly an hour, as same for the sushi selection. so could have been better. service was kinda good, made sure our plates were out of the way and brought us drinks more than once. the bathrooms were really disgusting looks very bad and smelt even worse (both men and women's) the ambiance was okay, walls were peeling a bit and could use a refurbishment. Also i'd like to add that the lady thought someone was dining and dashing for a tab of 40 dollars. Music was great tho! overall would not come again.

My last review of Crazy Buffet was eight years ago so it's time for an update. My wife and I enjoy the wide variety of choices. If you go when they are busy you will have a delicious meal. If you dine when business is slow you will likely be a little disappointed. When they are busy the buffet items are kept fresh and delicious. There is an hibachi grill and noodle bar where you can choose your raw ingredients and have the chef cook it hot, fresh and delicious for you. When business is slow they tend to allow buffet items to grow stale before they are refreshed. Service is always excellent. Dirty dishes are promptly removed from your table and drink refills are offered in a timely fashion. Crazy Buffet offers everything you would expect from a large Asian American buffet restaurant. Sushi, dim sum, fish and seafood, meats, vegetables, soups, salad bar, desserts, etc... There is something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable. There is never an issue finding a parking spot in the huge lot shared with the other shopping center businesses. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 for the great service.

Came here because a friend wanted to come and just have as many options as he could because he could not decide what he wanted. If that sounds like you and you have no clue what kind of cuisine you want whether it's asian, hibachi, noodles, pizza, sushi, wings then definitely come here. It is absolutely crazy big almost as big as a Walmart and there's rows and rows of food to choose from. The only reason I gave this place a lower review is because food wise obviously since it's a big buffet it isn't anything spectacular but if your standards for pepper chicken, pizza, and fried rice are just average then definitely this is the place to come and not worry about how much food you're going to get! I will say that some of my favorite things were definitely the hibachi bar where you can grab whatever you want put it on a plate and someone cooks it fresh for you and I also loved their custard bun, sesame balls, and taro buns. Those are things that I got mainly here. Overall definitely a great place for a hungry group of people maybe after a long day or event to come and just devour whatever you want. There is a lot of parking because it's in a huge strip mall and if you come at around 1130 that's probably the best time (it's before it gets really crowded in the restaurant itself). Probably won't be going again just because buffet is not my style but glad I got to try it once and hopefully other people can enjoy coming here!

This buffet served a decent meal. I didn't try everything they had and was selective but what I choose was good. We stop here for dinner because we were passing through and was staying overnight. This place is very large and roomy. The variety of food will satisfy anyone. I did had a problem with their pricing and the poor English of the cashier who was not clear so when we checked out we were charged for extra for soda. We were wrongly told that soda was included with the price. We were not happy about that and the manager at the cashier was rude with us when we questioned the price. Only the food is 3 stars ; management 1 star. The lighting is poor and we had problems seeing our food and the cleanliness.

Loved the food, loved the variety, service wasn't so great, the place itself had a very chaotic atmosphere.

Ask the Community - Crazy Buffet & Grill

Is the food MSG free?

Unfortunately, no.

Have they reopened ? The crazy buffet that is

Nope. I'm starting to think they may not reopen.

Was it a closed for an violations?

No, but it's opening again tomorrow!

Went by the crazy buffet today and it was closed. Anyone know what's going on?

Drove by today, they reopened.

When will Crazy reopen?

Okay I have an update on it and from what I have heard is the owner has lost 2 of his partners in the business and is trying to seek enough money to keep the business going. I wish him luck and hope he makes it back.

So I recently went to Daikichi Sushi. I hadn't been there since a few years ago and honestly back…read morethen, went there looking for great ramen. I wasn't impressed and didn't return. So I went back for their sushi as it felt unfair to rate them on ramen when their specialty was sushi. There are very few sushi places actually owned and run by Japanese outside of big cities, people rave about this place, and I'm all for supporting them. I did order the ramen again hoping it changed. It was ok, but I resigned it is not the place for ramen. However, I will say their sushi and other appetizers are great, no lie. But my recent visit left a bad taste despite their great food. When we arrived, about 6pm, the waitress told me and my teenage daughter, "only the bar was available". There were 2 4-person tables that could be separated for a table for 2. And I noticed 2 couples already there sitting at 4 person tables. So I asked the waitress why are they seated at the tables? She said they arrived earlier and now they need to keep the tables open Ok, I get that, even though they only opened an hour ago. It's Saturday night, so I'll go with that. Well, shortly after putting in our order at the bar, I see them seat 2 people at one of the 4-person tables. And then shortly after that, they separated the other 4 seater into 2 tables and sat 2 more couples that arrived at each table. Now, I'm raising an eyebrow. I didn't say anything but before I left, I said to the waitress, I couldn't help but notice there were several couples seated at tables after us. She said oh, that couple knows the owner, referring to the first couple seated at a 4 person table (they didn't even separate the table). Ok I figured that when the owner gave a loud and enthusiastic good bye to them and the diner looked Japanese. I replied to the waitress, but then you all seated 2 more couples and pulled the table apart to accommodate them. She replied that the boss ordered them to separate the tables but he rarely does. I replied that we had arrived well before any of those 3 couples and were told we couldn't sit at the table. She just shrugged as if to say she was just following the boss' order. I left the usual 20% tip because I know the waitress didn't make the decision and she gave great service and the sushi was great. However, that said, the blatant preference of other customers felt insulting and left a super disappointing taste in my mouth. And no, they were not all Japanese. Just that one diner. The owner clearly picked and chose to not give us a table, for whatever biased reason. I could understand if I were alone or my daughter was 8, but she looks clearly like an adult. It just really sat wrong with me and left me upset enough that I question returning. It's very unfortunate that an otherwise great experience was marred by this blatant refusal to seat my daughter and I at a table, only to have salt rubbed into the wound by seating numerous couples that followed at a table, by separating the tables. They didn't even offer to seat us at the traditional tables, all of which were empty at the time we arrived. To me, the authentic Japanese sushi was not worth the insulting unexplained preference to seat other customers after us at a table. PS: the only sushi roll I didn't like was the real crab California roll. The real crab was grey and cold and tasted so fishy, I asked to make sure it was cooked real crab and not raw. (They said it was cooked). I guess I was expecting real Alaska crab white crab and it was not this at all.

Such an adorable place. Minimalistic typical of a Japanese restaurant. There's a pond by the…read moreentrance. But what sets this place apart are the low tables where you fit on padded floor cushions on wooden backs. They even provide slippers for you to dog on the platform that's lined with sisal mat. To the far end is a rock garden. Very zen indeed. I was seated by the sushi bar. I had green tea. Waiting for my order of ramen with spicy miso. The umami orbits broth was great. I wish it had more crunch to it than just the kimchi. Also the pork was slightly cold, they didn't warm up to temp with the broth.
