This place truly lives up to it's name in terms of selection -- there is literally something for everyone from the kid friendly chicken nuggets and potato wedges, to the standard Chinese fare, salads, hibatchi, pho, sushi and more. If you are dining with a large group (aka my big Filipino family) they have a private dining room that you can reserve that will fit a hundred people or so. I'm not a big buffet fan but I have to hand it to them as they keep things in the A-OK range most of the time which is rare for monstrous food organizations of this nature. I mostly skip out on a bulk of their offerings and go straight for the sushi and I've never been disappointed. They do all of the cooked sushi classics like California rolls, Dragon Rolls, Spider Rolls and Philly Rolls surprisingly well. My favorite part is their deep freezer of Hershey's ice cream. It reminds me of my elementary school days where you could purchase ice cream a la carte...only this time you're an adult so you have free range to make an entire meal out of a buffet of ice cream. Although the price is low, a lot of their food is not eatable. I would rather go to Captain Ray's, their price is similar but the food is not bad. The clams has too much sand in them which I can't even eat one of them. The steak is so chewy and dry that I have to give up on chewing them so I can keep my jaw in shape. The Pho is tasteless. The Yakisoba is too sweet. However the steam fish is fine, just not enough soy sauce but you can put more with the sushi soy sauce, and the sushi are not bad too. It's located inside what used to be a Food Lion and is your a basic chinese buffet that's been super sized. There' a lot of food here, however IMOP there's so much that they don't have any 'wow' items, so the food here is ok. If however you're looking for the most bang for your buck, then this is your buffet. At CBG you have plenty of options, and if you don't like something, put your plate to the side and go fill up another one. I've been here at least 3 times now and no matter how full they are we've always been able to get a seat, have lunch, and return to work within an hour. It's perfect for a group as well. If my family decides to go back, they will only get paid with cash. They taking people money without the authorization. The guys at work insisted that Crazy buffet was the latest, greatest thing. The place is massive, I mean it used to be a Food Lion. The utter selection is daunting and I had trouble choosing only a little of several things. The Chinese section was average buffet fare, bonus for having dim sum selections, the three I tried were meh. My soup was good, so was the fresh fruit. I didn't try the Pho section, it didn't look that fresh and you only had the option of beef or seafood broth. The hibachi was ok, but it was mall style, not Mongolian bbq style. I could have used much more flavorful sauce, instead of the hearty squirt of water (or oil?) put on my food. The sushi section appeared to be made fresh by the chef there, but I didn't try any, it looked heavy on the rice and uncreative. Nor did I try any of the American section. Despite constant checks at the buffet and cleaning there, the tables were dirty. I mean sitting down to a presumably clean table and finding it sticky. Went here for dinner with my sister and niece and our server was not paying attention to us. She just stood there or went off to talk and then charged my niece as an adult. When we told her she was 10, she talked to the manager and started to question us about her birthday and age. The selection is huge! and I think the craziest thing about this buffet is how much food there is for only $9.99 (adult dinner) I was beyond impressed with their soup selection! I love picture menus and when food looks exactly like it's described and how it's displayed. Best soup EVER!!! I had the seafood red curry which was a red curry base served with a variety of seafood (i only remember shrimp, and squid), bakchoy, and cilantro over udon noodles. Another thing I kept coming back for was the steamed red bean buns and shrimp dumplings. I'm sure I'll be reminding my parents about this place and coming back! Let me start by saying I have never seen people act like vultures over some unflavored, cold crablegs. I will never go back during the time they are served. I thought a fight was gonna break out. Overall the food is good and the selection is HUGE! The waitress we had wasn't very attentive and we had to ask several times for refills. I have been here 4 times so obviously I like it, you can't beat the price for all the options you have. If you go during the times they serve crablegs....be prepared for a long wait between the time they bring them out, be prepared for them to have no season, be prepared for some idiot to pile his plate no matter how many people are waiting behind him and be prepared to see people fighting with the tongs to see who can get the most the fastest. Now from my previous hibachi grill review, ya'll already know how I feel about going to hibachi grill; however, my family for whatever reason loves them and they keep planning family gatherings at them. The first time I went here actually wasn't that bad; however, it was the second time that made me want to never come back. The first time I went was for a family gathering on a Saturday from 4-7. Service was pretty good, I was also a fan of their variety; however, I only really cared for three of their dishes: the black pepper chicken, the coconut shrimp, and the mei fun. I thought it was an alright establishment overall; however, it wasn't an experience that made me have to come back. My family liked it so much they planned another gathering the following week at the same time. Here's where the issues came. The waitress told us that the 4-7 time was over at 6:25 and was rudely rushing us to get out. She was saying that "everybody in the establishment knew that 3 hours wasnt really 3 hours, and they had to make room for more groups that were coming in." But the previous week we stayed for the full 3 hours and there wasn't an issue. I don't not like being rushed out when I'm paying money to eat. As we were leaving my stomach began to feel funny too. Something from the buffet made me sick and have to use the bathroom for the next few days. Upon leaving the second time I also saw cockroaches moving around and falling through cracks in the floor. Came here today for the first time on a Sunday at 7:30 for a family dinner of 6 and a baby. Heard about how big this place was and was excited to check it out. Upon arrival we went inside and I was amazed how ginormous the space here was. Size of a supermarket and plenty of seating to go around, party rooms near the entrance, this is definitely a stop for mega groups. No host at the stand, we had to wait a few minutes till we were seated. We were seated at a six top near the back near the bathrooms. The host took our drink orders and it was time to commence the Crazy experience. When you get on the main floor, you will have to take a moment and pause for you will stopping by multitudes of food stands. **Note: a lot of walking was involved. I always start off my first plate with the Chinese classics: lo mein, fried rice, general tso, coconut shrimp, black pepper chicken, beef and broccoli, crab rangoon, pork dumping. All of these tasted like typical Chinese buffet food, not bad, not the greatest either. Almost all of these were quite salty. The only thing I was able to finish was my crab Rangoon. Second plate: pork bun, dim sum, red bean bun, taro bun, shumai, garlic bread, yeast bread, mac n cheese, mash sweet potato. The only one I liked out of all of these was the garlic bread, red bean bun, and the sweet potato. The yeast bread was so stale I couldn't even bite into it. Everything else was basic quality. Nothing memorable. Third plate: I pretty much got one of each sushi, kimchi, seaweed salad. They didn't have spicy mayo. Which I was hoping they would cause they had every other sauce (Texas Pete, vinegar, etc). The sushi was bleh. 90% rice and 10% fillers. The quality was terrible, it falls apart as you pick it up. The seaweed salad and kimchi were okay, they were bland and lacked their own flavors. Also near the sushi is where the seafood and crab legs are. But don't get your hopes up for they serve the crab legs on top of ice (terrible). Defeats the whole purpose of the AYCE crab leg. You gotta serve that hot Crazy Buffet, cmon now! Some different stuff they have here aside from typical buffets is their soup section: egg drop soup, udon, pho, miso, hot and sour. All do these are basic but they did the job. They also have chicken feet (which I tried but I personally was not a fan of the texture, ended up stopping after the first bite). The American section had mash potatoes and gravy, tasted like it was from the box, nothing special. The fried calamari was good though. They also have a salad bar and hibachi section. Average quality. I was going to try their fish out until I saw one of the employees pour water on top (to freshen it up? Idk) it didn't look that appetizing from the start anyway, so I stopped right there and went for the fruits and desserts. They had chocolate and vanilla pudding, honey dew, cantaloupe, kiwi, pineapple (which all four of these fruits were hideously cut), canned peaches and oranges, and big seeded grapes. All of these were ehh. Went to try their pastries. Cookies were stale, cakes were okay, cheesecake was the only thing that was the most decent but still wasn't even that good. I think my most favorite part of this was getting to the end with the ice cream bar near the sushi. They have packaged ice cream: ice cream sandwiches, fudge bars, twin cherry/orange Popsicle, orange push pops, and chocolate ice cream. I took the last sandwich (they should have stocked more!) and a dream bar (personal favorite). Overall this place was okay, my stomach was stuffed for sure yet I left feeling unsatisfied. I don't think I would ever want to come back here, only for family but I wouldn't go out my way to come here. My dad is Crazy about this chinese Buffet!! I usually come here with the fambam just bc of my dad. For its price and an all you can eat buffet, it's very worth it. You can choose from so many options, from hibachi, pho, chinese, american, seafood, sushi and much more! My dad and I honestly come here for the cheap seafood, from shrimp, crawfish, fish, whole crabs to crab legs (I come for the crab legs hehe and their coconut shrimp yum) I use to not be too happy about their crab legs since they would steam it and put it on ice but now they recently started to steam it and put it on the steam table (Yay, finally!) I think I get my money's worth or even more just by eating crab legs for sure! (Don't get me wrong it's not like Captain George's crab legs though, womp). Oh, also sometimes there are lines just for the wait of crab legs during the weekend (10-20 minutes wait) Customer service is pretty good here, waitresses are very attentive and kind. PRO- Hot Crab legs finally, so much food to choose from, very clean restaraunt, and customer service was great. So much space and they also have a party room if you like to have big party groups. CONS- Some food weren't that fresh, and long wait for crab legs and other dishes to come out. A recent visit one lady was cleaning the counter off and basically flung the stuff off into my jeans and feet. (I said excuse me maam, she looks at me like she didn't do anything wrong) Overall, I do recommend this place out if you want a good variety of food to choose from. read more

Most AYCEs have mediocre food. This place actually has some decent food. When eating here, I recommend going straight to the hibachi since it takes a little time to cook and if there isn't a line, even better. Next stop-- noodle bar or sushi. I'm not usually fond of the typical chinese dishes you find at a buffet. I guess they always seem to have alot of so-so, fried food, but I must say their calamari is pretty, pretty good. If you have any room for dessert, try the apple pie (a la mode) where the dim sum section is. Can't beat the price here for lunch. I went on a busy Friday night, that's how you ensure that the food is just a little bit fresher instead of sitting out all day. You'll notice that this place is HUGE. The size of a a market, and it was seriously packed. We had to take numbers and it was a 20 minute wait. They had all the typical "asian buffet" foods, sushi, hibachi grill, udon, pho noodle soup, and seafood bar. And most of them we're actually pretty good, not like most places where I take one bite of each variety and throw away. I really judge on seafood, they had plentiful amounts constantly coming out, and they were good! The steamed crabs were big and packed, the snow crab legs were big, and fresh raw oysters and clams. I probably went through 4-5 plates of crab alone. If you're looking for tons of variety and loads of seafood I'd say this is the move. read more

Went with a group of 8 which included 2 small kids. Showed up at 12:00 and was seated immediately. Servers were on point and did a great job when one of the kids spilled a drink. They kept all drinks topped off and the dirty plates cleared. The food was well prepared. The sushi bar was stocked and the items I tried were very fresh. Great variety. The salad bar and fruit selections were great and were a big hit with the kids. I tried many dishes including: Coconut chicken, barbecue ribs, low mein, calamari, hibachi chicken, stir fry broccoli, and several other items and they were all very hot and well prepared The hibachi bar and noodle station were tried by several members of the group and they raved about the quality. The soups were very flavorful and extremely hot. Again, lots of positive comments from the group. Overall I rate the food as well above average for a buffet. The service was outstanding. The people who cook your food are very careless about the food they're cooking for you. They would mix your food into someone else's food or actually throw some way. & It looked like they were doing it on purpose, laughing as they saw people's faces look angry. The workers would all have an attitude if you asked for anything. One guest was asking an employee where something was at and just raised her hand in her face and told her to go away. What sets this place apart is the delicious habatchi and flavorful selections on the other bars. Everything is pretty good you guys. This is one of the biggest buffets I have ever been to! I spoke with one of hosts, and he stated that the former occupant was a Food Lion. This restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of seating available. We were seated immediately on a Sunday for their lunch buffet which I think was $15 on the weekends which seems a bit high but the food variety, quality and offering, the price was justified. This buffet has the following types of food: Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, American and Italian, so basically your typical buffet but there was a larger variety and it tasted better than some places I have been to. There's a Pho station as well if you wanted some vermicelli noodles or udon noodles but you can't really customize it to your liking. They also had a good assortment of sushi, desserts, Chinese fare such as Dim sum and the ever popular honey walnut shrimp which was delicious but they also had your standard Chinese American offerings as well like fried rice and lo mein. The service was the only bad thing that I could say about this place as it took really long for our plates to be cleaned up and that's with the plates piling on top of each other near the edge of the table. I can understand if they were a little busy but I saw the waitresses just standing around and talking to each other. They also have a Hibachi grill here as well and you can pick your ingredients and they will cook your meal to order. Crazy is an understatement. This place is massive and their buffet options are plentiful. Come hungry. I mean, duh, it's a buffet but there's no way you're able to sample a little bit of everything. That's how much food they have. Sushi is an option and surprisingly, it's not that bad. Do you want your food with less MSG? There's a hibachi grill. I wish they had cheesecake but they have ice cream freezers with ice cream sandwiches, regular ice cream, ice cream bars, etc. Excellent use of this large space that used to be a department store.
