The meal came with dark meat only, with two drumsticks and two (huge) thighs. We ordered the Red Beans and Rice, and the meal came with their sweet biscuit. The chicken pieces were, well, just huge. The chicken was juicy. The skin was rich with flavor and had a crispy snap. Delicious. The chicken must be injected with some "secret recipe" because all the pieces had a reddish tint to the juices inside. I'm all for it. While the chicken was pretty good, the same can't be said about the sides. The Red Beans and Rice, was some kind of beans topped with white rice. This dish certainly did not scream "New Orleans" to me. The Mashed Potatoes and gravy, while generous in portion lacked a level of texture and flavor to be considered good. The biscuit was topped with a honey glaze. I'm sure some with like the sweetness but for me, not the best biscuit (by far) That said, if we are looking for good fried chicken, Krispy Krunchy Chicken is a solid option.
