It wasn't until I found this place that I got that same good feeling. I ordered the teri beef, and it immediately reminded me of the local-style food from the Big Island. You can tell there's a lot of care and love that goes into the food here, and judging by the steady stream of customers, I'm not the only one who thinks so. One tip: call your order in ahead of time if you can. This place has a very loyal following, and for good reason. You might find yourself competing with the regulars to get your food on time! If you're craving authentic Hawaiian comfort food, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

There are a couple places to sit indoors and outdoors, we opted to sit outside. Our cashier, Alex was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I opted for a bacon cheeseburger protein style and regular size of tater tots. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and the tater tots tasted fresh and were crunchy. The prices are affordable and I look forward to returning when I'm in the area.

My review is based solely on an ongoing parking issue and not on the quality of the products or…read moreservice. The owner of Ruby Shake Shop routinely parks his Audi in the limited public street parking spaces along South Virginia Street directly in front of Raising Cane's, Ike's Love & Sandwiches, and the surrounding businesses. Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.

Let's start with the fact that I don't eat fast food if I have a choice as to what I'm going to…read moreget! I traveled the USA and Canada for many years playing Sax with lots of bands (www.RickMetz.com) and the only choice I had was wherever the band vehicle stopped. Usually, we were under time constraints and we got the quickest thing available. I never liked it... But, if there was a little extra time available, I'd try to find a "real" restaurant in the vicinity to eat at. Didn't happen as often as I would've liked, but I made do. I've tried multitudes of fast food places because of those circumstances...nothing was really to my liking...especially the "major" fast food chains...you know which ones I'm referring to. Then I tried In N Out while touring through California!! OMG! I loved it! Smiling, friendly employees, clean establishments, great customer service...and still fast. (Pro tip: if the drive thru is jam packed? Park and go inside) Always made fresh and to order... Once I learned the "secret menu", that was the kicker for me! (https://www.in-n-out.com/menu/not-so-secret-menu) To be able to customize my burger in any way I wanted it at a "fast food" restaurant? Blew my mind! This is the ONLY "fast food" that I'll seek out... There's lots of debate as to their fries and their shakes. I like the shakes, but only get one once in a while...not a fan of the fries...but, I don't eat a lot of fries anyway... My go to? 2x3, Animal style, no pickles, no tomatoes, add hot peppers. Always delicious! Even though the price has increased over the years, I still feel that it's well worth it. You should try it to see what YOU think!

Who doesn't love In-N-Out Burger?…read more I remember anytime we drove to California, we had to stop in Auburn, no matter how long the line was just to get our burger fix. It was a must every single time. Now look at us, we've got three locations in Reno, one on the way, and even one in Sparks. Back then, we paid about $7.95 for two full meals. Now it's closer to $16--and we're sharing fries and a drink That said, the quality is still fantastic for fast food, and honestly, the price is still pretty reasonable. The staff really know what they're doing too. They've got a system to keep things moving, but let's be real, it's still usually a 20-30 minute wait in the drive-thru when it's busy. I always wonder... would it be faster to go inside? Honestly, I don't think so! Whether you're inside or outside, it's worth the wait the moment you take that first bite of a freshly made burger or those hand-cut fries. And don't forget the milkshakes-lthey're so good! No photos this time... I already know your mouth is watering right now. So, what's for dinner tonight? In-N-Out!!

Due to that reason, all the staff was focused on getting orders out that was, but not to the walk in orders. I was there for around 5-10 minutes before a staff that was leaving after their shift notice me. He then got notified a manager? to assist me. She was quick and efficient! I ordered the Big Mac combo meal which comes 1 Big Mac, medium fries, and medium drink. McDonald's has literally the best fries out of all the fast food restaurants I have tried because they are salted perfectly, are thinly sliced, and crispy! I come here just to order their fries sometimes. The burger tasted like a burger. Nothing too fancy, but it tasted good and what you would expect of a regular burger. I ordered another combo meal, but do not remember the exact burger. It was good nonetheless. While I was waiting for my order, I sat at one of the tables and noticed a lot of the tables were not clean and had crumbles everywhere. They seem to be very short staffed since they do not even have time to clean the tables or check the counter if customers are coming in. Otherwise, they got me my order within 10 minutes of ordering. They have self-ordering available, but I had coupons so that did not work without a code. Cleanliness and the wait was not the best, but I understand they were focusing their attention where the line was and they seemed very busy in the back. Just glad there is a McDonald's that is close to my house!

This is my second or third time to this particular location. I've never had a bad meal here or even at the other one. It's exactly what I expect. We ordered a bean and cheese burrito, a number one which is a beef taco and cheese enchilada combination plate, I ordered an extra carnitas burrito and we ordered chips. I typically order carne asada or adobada, but wanted to change it up this time. Everything was hot and fresh. The chips were fresh out of the fryer! Except, they had zero salt. So we had the salt them up a bit when we came home. I didn't take a picture of the carnitas taco, but it was HUGE. I haven't had one of those in years, it was super good. I tried some of the enchilada and the rice and beans, really good as well. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with pico, I call it the "burrito guero" hahaha! It was good size, but the cheese never really fully melts because of the pico but that's not really a big deal to me. Waited a bit to get our food, but not a big deal. I don't care to wait, when everything is made to order and comes out as hot as it was. The girl at the window wasn't too friendly. She actually seemed perturbed when I asked for extra salsa roja. I don't know she was just having a bad day or she was itching to go home. But as long as I'm here and Roberto's is there, I'll keep going! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. We've just had a Roberto's open up out in the Spanish Springs area and we've gone there a few times since they opened. When they first opened, long lines and fresh good food. Now that they've been open a while, things are slipping. I went there this evening for some rolled tacos and to get my wife a fish taco. No one else in the drive through but I had to wait for quite a while, obviously they were frying the fish and rolled tacos. Turns out the fish was over cooked as were the rolled tacos. Not sure if they oil they are using is too hot or they are simply cooking the food for too long a period of time. This is not the first over cooked fried items we've had there. The refried beans were cold as if they've been sitting there in a pot of a long time. The rice was good. Come on Robertos you can do better, I've had it.
