Yup. Easy to give this place 5 stars. Onion rings were light and crispy...they made a loud "crunch" in your mouth. Burger was more than expected, and the milkshake was legit. Dipping sauce was their great-granny's tartar sauce recipe. (Love stories like that.) The wait took a little while...it's not fast food. Soooo worth it. Don't expect gourmet high end burgers, but if you grew up eating Crazy eric's then sometimes you just crave it. You might have to stand in the rain to order your food, and if they are busy wait in your car for 30 minutes before it is ready...but darn it's good! But since becoming a certain age (over 30), I can no longer tolerate the heavy cholesterol bombs that are their fries & burgers. I wish I could give this place no stars. Where do I begin... first of all, they only take cash. So after I ordered, I ran across the street to the atm, assuming they would start working on my order. Man was I wrong. They served 5 or 6 people who all came after me before I got my food. 45 minutes. After reading reviews and really craving some good corn dogs and hot dogs, I honestly expected much better. I knew the place was dumpy and honestly I have low standards anyways but the food was seriously terrible. The corn dogs tasted just like the frozen ones that you buy at the store, the tortilla dog was burnt on the ends and raw in the middle with crappy cheese, and the kraut dog had a soggy bun. My wife ordered the BBQ dog and said the onions were cold. The buffalo cheese fries were extremely soggy, the cheese was, wait for it, crappy quality, and the Buffalo sauce was just drizzled over. No nuance, nothing to set it apart at all. It looked like something drunk me would make at 2am in the microwave. The portions were extremely small except for the fries so don't go here thinking you're getting a good deal. On top of all this, I tried to tell them they spelled tartAr (they spelled it tarter) sauce wrong and they got all huffy and puffy. Overall one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. My whole family has eaten here off and on for the past 25 years as we live in the neighborhood. It's been a few years since I've been and I have to say I was very disappointed. My sister and I both got the fish and chips as I had never seen them on their menu...why not? Well. Here's why not. I typically love crazy eric's. We went there yesterday and waited 30 minutes. We watched people come after us and leave before us. We went to the window and asked what was going on. And the guy was completely confused asking what we ordered. They somehow lost the ticket. They took our order again and we waited another 20 minutes. 50 minutes total. We were not comped money or food for our long wait. I know this is a rare instance but if you have people waiting close to an hour, you'd think they would have given us something for our time. read more

They were friendly yet the food was not great. Especially the fries. The fries were hard as rocks. French fry shaped rocks. Without Rick this place is not worth the long wait and sub par food. Not to Mention that they only take cash which shows that the family that owns it is greedy. Yes it's not free to take cards. Yes it sucks for owners. No its not saving you any money. My husband and I love a great hamburger, so after reading the reviews on this website, we decided to give it a go since we're both new to the area and are searching out good divey, local spots. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. The burger to bun ratio was ridiculous. The burger patty was a paper thin, pre-formed, previously frozen patty, and it was served on the thickest bun I've ever seen in my life. We asked for the Big Burger Basket, I'm afraid of how small the patty would have been on the regular burger. There was more lettuce, tomato, and extra misc crap on this burger than I've ever seen, drowned in either mystery sauce or watered down mayonaise. I asked for my burger basket to come with garlic parm fries and was intrigued when we got 3 to go boxes for our 2 orders. Instead of throwing some garlic and parm on MY fries, we were charged for a full family sized garilc parm fry (which consisted of green can shaker cheese, garlic powder, and about 5 pounds of fries), and both burger boxes had a serving of plain fries. The burger baskets also come with onion rings that are good as long as you inhale them immediately. Don't let them sit for longer than 3 minutes, or they become a soggy, greasy mess. My root beer float was made with slightly freezer burned vanilla ice cream. When it was all said and done, we hardly ate anything, thew away about $20 worth of meals, and went to find somewhere else to eat. read more

I've been to this crazy Eric a few times and loved them until the experience I had today. Me and my family ordered a bacon burger, cheese burger and chicken strips with garlic fries. We got 3 boxes thinking everything was in the the boxes and left home. We got home and we were missing my bacon burger and called them, the lady argued with my husband saying I quote "that's hard to believe there no burger with the fries" I can't believe that kinda customer service. She said we took it out of content but you do NOT say that under your breath. If I could show her the basket of fries with no burger without getting a snotty attitude with it I would. I loved this place, we have always been treated great until today. So I won't say I will never come back but let's just say it'll be awhile until we think about going back because of rude customer service. read more

I got a bacon cheese burger and fries. Burger was overcooked and it took about 30 minutes to get my food after I ordered. I stood there waiting and waiting watching others come up, order their food , receive their food and leave. I was still waiting. The people running the place seemed to know all of the customers except for me. Maybe that was the problem. Oh and the bacon on my burger.... wtf was that slab of skin-looking thing they put on there trying to pass it off as bacon. The people are always sweet and courteous to me and the people I have brought there. This is the greasiest fast food joint you'll ever find but that's what old school burgers and fries are.
