Yeah. Crazy is ONE adjective for this place. I came with 2 toddlers and it's basically just a parking lot and window, so not the safest to have them out of the car. Maybe they could add a few picnic benches on the left side? Meh. They don't read Yelp. Just went there, according to Yelp they close at 8. They either decided to close early or the hours are wrong. The place was full of people working but the windows were all shut down. The Erickson Family has owned and operated this little stand for years and years and pretty much offers the same menu items as opening day. If you're going to have a burger, you may as well truly enjoy it: the fact that you cannot get home with your food without having a practically see-through greased up bag makes me happy. Fries with partial skin and generous salting must be crammed into mouth at full speed. Plus I'm in love with the Fair Burgers...the grilled onions are perfect (not too soggy, not too crisp). They also do floats/shakes/perfect corndogs...and the prices are crazy cheap. I was in the mood for a burger that wasn't from a major chain, but Burger Me Now decided "Nope, we do sushi now, lolz." Great. I remembered seeing a place around town called Crazy Eric's, so I decided to hunt for it. Having no idea where it was, I ended up taking the long way around. Turning onto National, I decided that if it wasn't on this street, I would trudge to a chain with my tail between my legs. Suddenly, hidden behind what I thought was an excessive amount of foliage, was an old-timely looking stand. I had found it! Stepping up to the counter, I ordered two of the $0.77 burgers (Yes, the zero is in the right spot) and a man-sized order of fries. (On a related note, if you get larger orders of fries, always spring for the extra ketchup. It's 15 cents.) I barely made it back on the highway before I began munching on the fries. Then Centerfold came on the radio, and I divided my time between driving, shoving fries in my mouth and screaming J. Geils Band lyrics. I've never felt so American. If you plan to visit in the future, spring for the bigger burgers. 77 cents gets you a Happy Meal sized patty. Parking is also nonexistant, and no matter where in Bremerton you live, it's a bit of a drive, even if it's next door. Nevertheless, it's my new burger joint. Absolutely horrible! Went there for the first time and was SEVERELY disappointed. I asked what was on a few of the burgers and told them I wanted something with lettuce and tomato. The guy listed some things off and I chose what he called the Bacon Cheeseburger Basket and a hot dog, just to try a few different things. Problems: 1. They didn't tell me it was Canadian bacon, VERY different. 2. There were no tomatoes. 3. The lettuce was sparse, might as well not have been any. 4. Fries were burnt sticks. I'm a fry girl and I couldn't choke down more than 4. Hard, old, overcooked and under salted. 5. 3 tiny burnt onion rings. TINY! BURNT! 6. They charge for a to-go cup of ketchup...OK I can handle that, but my cup wasn't even half full!!! 7. Hot dog was old and overdone. Not burnt, just been in the steamer or under the heat lamp WAY too long! Decent otherwise. I'm not a big fan of Dairy Queen but it would been a much better choice today!!!!! I wasn't going to leave a bad review because I've had good service in the past but after finding a hair in my garlic fries I had to share my experience in hopes they can improve. First of all my husband and I waited 30 minutes to get our food. Yes it was busy but there was people who ordered after us that ended up getting their food before us. After my husband went to check what was taking so long he was informed they were waiting on the onion rings. My husband then said screw the onion rings we don't even eat onion rings we would like to get our food and go- my hubby could see that our burgers and fries were sitting in foam boxes under a heat lamp. The worker insisted they still had to put the onion rings in... are you kidding me? So your forcing me to get onion rings that I don't want while the food I do want is sitting getting stale? Which the food did end up tasting stale, the fries were dried out and horrible. I tried digging to the bottom of the to-go box to look for better fries and that's when I found the hair and had to stop right there. Makes sense that we would find a hair considering none of the men working there were wearing face or hair nets and yes the guy in the fry station had a long beard and longer hair... There's a little liquor store across the street with an ATM that also happens to be selling microwave dinners from 1982 (not even kidding). Lets not church it up, the place is a total dive. If you want any kind of dipping sauces for those onion rings or fries then they have tartar and ketchup, and each little dipping cup is going to cost you 15 cents. Your going to leave this place full, and feeling a lot heavier since everything is so greasy that its CrAzY, but it won't cost you an arm and a leg.
