I'll be honest, I did not like CREAM at first. It was crowded and I felt rush choosing my ice cream and cookies. I thought it was too sweet and I just did not like it. I dont even remember the flavor combo I ended up but I remember i did not like it. However, the second time I went it was less crowded so I was able to look at all the flavors more carefully and I ended up with chocolate cookies with almond ice cream. OMG it was the best. The combo was really good and I was able to really enjoy my sandwich. We have gone again and again it was really good. If its your first time, I recommend that you take your time and to look at all the flavors. It is really good and I don't even have a sweet tooth. read more

So awesome. Great concept. Wide selection of cookies to choose from (I think at least 6 types of vegan cookies!) Only two choices for vegan ice cream: vanilla and mint chocolate chip. It would be better to serve these in a bowl though, because it was warm out and they melted and fell apart faster than we could eat them. I really wanted to like this place, I did. Good luck finding parking. My friend had to actually drop our group of friends to get our cookie sandwiches because he could not find any. So we ordered one to go for him. All 4 of us thought the cookies taste old and the ice cream was a-ok. There was nothing special. Just 2 old cookies and ice cream you can buy at your local grocery store. I thought that there was something special with their cookies and ice cream. But it wasn't. It was just very messy and I honestly felt like I was forcing myself to finish the rest because I didn't want to waste it. And if anyone knows me, I LOVE anything thats sweet and I love ice cream. I could of made a better cookie ice cream sandwich on my own. The only good thing about this place is that it is decently priced. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend this place. AMAZING for the late night cravings--and your normal non late night cravings also. I had a convention nearby at the San Jose Convention, and I wanted sweets at 8PM. It's about a 10 minute walk (0.5 mile) from there; so I had a really pleasant evening walk in Downtown San Jose. Employees that night were really awesome and helpful. The ONLY downside is that it's a small shop in the Downtown San Jose; being in Downtown, there are the occasional crazies/drunks roaming around outside. It's a few miles from San Jose State University, so tons of college students also. MUST TRY! read more

You get to pick 2 cookies and a ice cream for a filler in the ice cream cookie sandwich ! She got the macadamia nut cookie and a double chocolate chip cookie and mint chocolate ice cream filling ! My first time here and trying out Cream! I always pass by the location in Palo Alto on University Ave where the line is quarter of a mile long. When I walked into the store, I smelled a lot of delicious freshly baked cookies. I felt like a little kid picking out my cookies and ice cream. I had sugar cookies with the vanilla ice cream and almond topping. Boy was it scrumptious! I highly recommend this place for its sweets and for those who has a sweet tooth like me. ;-) read more

Cream is inconsistent. I have been to three locations. Davis, Berkeley, and San Jose. Sometimes my cookies are hard and sometimes they are soft. The hot cookies melt my ice cream way too fast and it turns into liquid at the bottom of my wrap. So much for an ice cream sandwich. The location here is 2.99 while Berkeley is 2.00! I rather go to the Berkeley location anyways since the location on in San Jose is in a homeless area....Davis location is really nice too and I believe their price is 2.50 read more

Went here last night with some friends after a Sharks game. There was a line out the door when we got there, so I guess we kind of knew it was going to be good. My friends all had the ice cream cookie sandwiches, which apparently were amazing. You can choose two different cookies for your sandwich, which one of my friends in particular was really excited about! My vegan girlfriend and I decided to check out CREAM a couple of months ago, and we both got vegan tuxedo cookies with soy blueberry ice cream. The Pros: -Absolutely delicious soy blueberry ice cream! We've had many types and brands of vegan ice cream, and this one was top quality. Very unique flavour. -Tuxedo cookie was delicious as well. -The employee who scooped our ice cream asked both of us individually if we would like her to change her gloves when hearing that we both wanted soy ice cream. I truly appreciate this, because I hate cross contamination although I have no dietary allergies. I am glad that the employees here are well-informed and know when to change gloves. The Cons: -There is very limited seating at CREAM. Had to finish our sandwiches while sitting on the sidewalk. -I think this place is a little pricey for ice cream. I understand that ice cream is their main business, so it has to be sold at a certain price. However, we found it hard to find parking and ended up paying a fee at a garage just to come here. So $12 for ice cream + ~$5 for parking = $17 for an ice cream trip. I'm not really sure how often we'll come back based on that. -Ice cream sandwiches are handed to customers in small white sandwich bags, which end up being a complete mess. It would be much better if they were placed in small to-go cups/bowls. read more

Other than the parking issue, this place is definitely worth a try. I'm NOT a big dessert eater and the thought of warm cookies with ice cream in the middle was a little off putting. HOWEVER, after trying the ice cream sandwich here it changed how I felt about it haha. I've also picked up MANY deliveries from here and I just want to say "THANK YOU" to the employees for making the process quick and easy. They even pack it to go with ice in a box to fit everything perfectly. Customers have always complimented it, and definitely appreciate it! Everything is FRESH, cookies have always been HOT/Warm and everything is made to your liking. The store itself is small, and the line goes out the door often times, but don't be discouraged! They work FAST! As a parent, I would just like to say if you want to bring your kids here, be mindful of the time. The later it gets, the more unsavory characters rear their ugly head (not just here, but downtown in general). IM NOT SAYING ITS UNSAFE. It's not! Just be aware that's all. Decided to stop by late night and check it out. Wasn't too bad, but a few things struck me as a bit off. The place is really tiny and crowded and I found it difficult to move around in with it being so crowded. I kind of wanted to sit down and eat, but I guess they figured seating wasn't needed. The music was too loud and the people behind the counter had trouble hearing people's orders, which annoyed me. The sandwich wasn't bad, but the cookies tasted too doughy and underdone. The ice cream wasn't anything special, but still quite enjoyable, and the amount of the toppings ordered they put on was pitiful. Their selection is pretty good, as are the prices, and the have plenty of toppings for people to choose from. I just was not overly impressed, but wouldn't not suggest it as a place for a late night snack if you're done at the bars in the area. 7/10 read more
