This place is a small hole-in-the-wall ice cream store. The lines are pretty long though. I was surprised there were a lot of people out on a Tuesday night. They came even later than the happy hour too so they weren't there for the Taco special. The special is $3.99 for ice cream tacos on Tuesdays from 8-10pm. It was cheap and the portion size is huge. Next time I will probably have to share.. So the taco is made up of 3 scoops of ice cream of any flavor, with two free toppings all inside of a cinnamon-y taco-shaped waffle. I chose the chocolate, green tea, and pistachio ice cream. I thought the pistachio would be a bit stronger in pistachio flavors, but it tastes more like vanilla ice cream with crushed pistachios in it. We stopped by this place after dinner and it was a great idea. You get to choose 2 different cookies and your choice of ice cream for a delicious ice cream sandwich. There are toppings you can choose from also, but I opted to leave mines as a coconut ice cream with a chocolate and turtle cookie. The cookies are baked fresh so it was still warm when we got it. I came here yesterday with my friend and this CREAM was located on first street and right on the corner. The place is quite small.... There isn't seating anywhere. Not inside or out, so that was a disappointment. I came here there was already a line. The line wasn't moving too fast because customers were unsure of what they wanted and kept wanting to sample ice creams. Once I finally got up to the front after 10 minutes... I choose a snickerdootle cookie and a white macadamia cookie with pistachio ice cream dipped in crushed almonds. The was the cookies were freshed baked and right out the oven, so the cookies were deliciously soft and chewy! Soooo the ice cream sandwich was delicious! All for only around $3! It was so good. Once I was ready to make purchase on my cookie sandwich... The guy was pretty rude. He didn't even give me the right amount of change. Just know when you come here that you're going to get a sugar-bomb and not rich, full-flavored premium ice cream. Trying different combinations keeps it interesting and every once in a while I end up with one that really works. I finally got to try this place out from hearing all the hype. The line does get pretty long here but the wait isn't too bad. The store is pretty small with only a few outdoor seating. For $3 you get a customize cookie sandwich. I kept it simple with chocolate chip cookie and french vanilla ice cream. The sandwich was very sweet, almost overly sweet but it did satisfy my sweet tooth craving. The cookie was not soft but hard. Personally I don't think it's worth the hype. I can definitely make a cookie sandwich at home and not have to deal with downtown traffic and parking. If I was in the area and wanted something sweet, I would probably come here. This place tasted very good. I always get warm cookies and mini chocolate chips around. Very rich and creamy, like their name. There are other great ice cream places that I could spend time comparing but I enjoy each one the same for different reasons. This place pretty much specializes in ice cream sandwiched by two cookies of your choice. It was pretty good especially on the ice cream side. The service was also nice as they let me sample several flavors and create suggestions on good combinations. We went earlier this evening, evening rates at the nearest parking garage was $7. It was hard to find street parking. The Bank of the West garage was walking distance and ended up being $10! So me and my two kids decided we were going to go have Cream after a day at the Discovery Museum. Parking was sucky so I had to drive around a few blocks about three times before I found a metered parking spot a block away. We lucked out when we got there because there was only two people in there. I ordered a gluten free oatmeal one with coconut ice cream and my son had a chocolate chip with mint chocolate chip and my daughter the carnival cookie with strawberry. I told the girl that I wanted to order 3 more to go and she said she'd make them at the end with cold cookies and put them on ice in a box. So she warmed all of our cookies and slabbed the ice cream in between them. The kids were enjoying their CREAM sandwiches while I paid and waited for the to go sandwiches. She brought out a box that had a bag of ice in the box and she laid the 3 ice cream sandwiches on top of them, which I thought was pretty cool. We QUICKLY walked to our car and drove home and the sandwiches were still in tact. As far as the taste, there was honestly nothing spectacular about them. It's not like I took a bite out of them and thought to myself, "Wow! This is fantastic!" They were just regular old cookies with no special taste to them with ice cream. I would go back again but it's not something that I would totally crave. Sad to say that I could probably go to Mrs Fields or bake my own cookies at home and pick a flavor of ice cream at the store and it would probably taste better or just the same! But I give them 4 stars because it's not like they were awful and the customer service was great. It is rather small in there though so you will be expected to stand in line outside.
