Wonderful lunch oasis in the desert. Very friendly waitstaff. Tony was our very hospitable waiter. The gluten free pizza "Go Ask Alice" was good. My cheeseburger was great. I ordered exactly what I wanted on it, and the substituted gluten free bun was only $1 extra. I have to praise them (Tony) for how very knowledgeable he was concerning support animals. I was looking for a place between Tucson and Phoeniz to meet a friend, Casa Grande was halfway. I avoided the temptation to do something 'generic' near the highway. This place is a bit more than 5 minutes from the highway, extremely easy to find. It was busy (not crowded), the food was excellent! I had a delicious Thai Chicken wrap and the 'manager' told me that they get numerous compliments and even say it is better than their thai restaurant. When she learned I was from Boston she wanted me to try their clam chowder saying she wanted a local's opinion. Service was attentive but not disruptive. We live in Surprise and drove to Casa Grande to have lunch with friends. They chose "Creative Cafe" for our lunch stop and what a choice! The service was top of the line and could not have been better! Our orders were brought out promptly and and efficiently. They were visibly appealing and very fresh. My wife had the "Sarah's Spinach Salad " and I had the patty melt. They both were out of this world! The quality of each was extremely great! I've been traveling for quite some time and I'm an addict when it comes to patty melts. I always have to try one wherever I go. This cafe had one on their menu so I had to order it. Not only the burger was full of juices, cooked to what I wanted (med-rare), the bread was nice and crunchy and overall flavorful. The fries were crispy as well which is the way I like them. I ordered an extra side of potato salad just to get a taste & of course, this was delicious as well. In the end, I finished every bite of the burger, every fry, as well as the potato salad. This is one of the best restaurants in Casa Grande. The menu has something for everyone. My favorite is their patty melt. The wait staff is pleasant, thoughtful and efficient. Clean and comfortable surroundings! It's also nice to see that this establishment employs special needs staff, who are sweet as can be. My only complaint, but a good one I guess is that they are not open on weekends. But it is refreshing to see they value their people enough to give them those days off. In my opinion the best dining restaurant in all of Casa Grande! The menu has many wonderful selections and of course my favorite is their most delicious juicy, turkey burger! They have a secret sauce( I know what it is but I won't tell) I drive all the way from Tucson to have that burger every now and then! They're only open Monday through Friday. read more

We hopped off the freeway for a quick lunch and didn't want chain food and other yelpers stuff this was good. Well, I had the tuna sand with sweet potato fries.. great tuna salad with Tiny green apple bits and tasty seasoning not sloppy with mayo and lovely bread. Fruits had chipotle mayo, perfect. My husband REALLY enjoyed his chicken salad on croissant. They were really fast, even with the restaurant full of lunch customers. This is a hidden gem right off of North Trekell. We ordered the jumbo gyro,strawberry fields salad,Ashley's Chiwa burger, sweet potato fries and a slice of coconut cream pie for me to go. Myself and my girlfriend were in Casa Grande and decided to try this places based on too much time in the sun and the photos of smoothies. The menu seemed a bit "extensive" which often means, jack of all trades - master of none. This turned out to be the opposite of our experience. We split the Pesto Chicken w/ tomato basil wrap - with a side of sweet potato wedges & coleslaw - and had a couple smoothies (strawberry+pina colada & pineapple+mango, respectively). We were both pleasantly surprised with how all the food came out extremely tasty, and in a timely manner. We're not from Casa Grande, but if I ever end up back in Casa Grande, i wouldn't hesitate to stop in again. read more

We were meeting friends in Casa Grande and I was looking for a locally owned restaurant for lunch. I posted my search on Facebook and discovered Creative Cafe was owned by a brother of one of my friends. We decided to give it a try. The meet up was 11. Good thing! When we left 90 minutes later the place was packed and people were waiting. The atmosphere is delightful, the service was excellent, the food fresh and delicious and the best part is many staff members live with challenges from birth. We picked Creative Cafe for two reasons: 1) Halfway point for meeting friends between Tucson and Phoenix, a little over an hour each way. 2) Options for a vegan diner. We arrived close to closing time, but the owner and staff were very accommodating and showed no impatience with us. I visited Casa Grande to see a client and stopped in here. The owner was extremely personable and friendly. All of their staff was pleasant and they had amazing service. This place has a great ambience and some of their workers are special needs, which I love! Go here sometime you'll enjoy it. I had the BLT which had lots of thick yummy bacon.
