I searched the DFW area for "crepes", and this "Crepes for U" kept popping up. It rated 5 stars, but did open until 3PM? Hmmmm... I was finishing a Korean dish at H Mart, my phone showed a clear drive over, so, why not? Legacy Drive West seems upscale, this shopping center seems working class, families, regular econo-cars. Most businesses are Asian-themed with Korean dominance. Crepes? Maps says it was in the "Food Court", but I ended up finding Crepes for U inside the large building where JUSGO Supermarket is located. Use doors on right side of JUSGO, space #218. Small informal shop run by one crepe master: Paul. Very warm & chatty, and he wants to hear how you're doing today before talking about crepes. This is how Paul's rating is so high; he connects. Paul makes the crepes fresh, right in front of you, to keep the conversation going. You can pick a crepes from the menu, or design your own. In the window are artificial mock-ups of the crepe styles in living color! I went for fresh peach slices, butter pecan ice cream, and chocolate drizzle. Paul folds this over to make a cone-shaped crepe that fits into a cone cup. No dripping, no mess. You can walk around, check out the tropical fruit at JUSGO, and safely devour your crepes. 3 wooden benches, one tall table, and No restrooms at Crepes 4 U. It's all about U and those yummy Crepes! This has been my absolute favorite place to get crepes ever since I moved to Dallas in 2013. Paul is the sweetest, sweetest man and always remembers his customers. All his crepes are carefully crafted to perfection! There's a wide variety of different dessert crepes- all filled with different fruits, brownies, ice creams, berry compotes, etc. So, you'll definitely find one you like!! My go-to is the Symphony- which comes with assorted fruits, your choice of ice cream flavor, whip cream, and hazelnut spread. This place was recommended by my aunt. She has been going here for the past 7-8 years. And it did not fail to impress me. Paul is the owner and he is such a nice humble human being. He remembers every regular customers names, including my aunt and uncle and their kids, I was in shock. He treats all customers like family. He puts the same amount of love to every crepe he makes, he is so careful with it. We got the Mango Crepe and Red Rock. The taste and freshness is amazing. The crepes are soft and little crunchy, just the right amount. And it balances everything so well. The way it's served is different too, it was like a hand roll, and I simply loved it. I blame it on Venus C. for getting me addicted to crepes! First it was Sweet Mix, now Crepes 4 U lol. Good thing she never left me hanging, always pigs out with me, and has introduced me to this "healthier" crepes option. This is your truly mom and pop's place. The shop is run by this lovely middle age couple. Usually the wife would be taking the orders, being cashier, while the husband cooking up some magic. Their crepes are smaller, come wrapped up in paper then put in a small paper cup. I wasn't too fond of that at first before i came here, just used to eating my crepes off of a plate with a knife and fork lol. However, the owner makes his crepes with such love and detail. He carefully places the fruits, whipped cream, and ice cream each time, before folding them up nicely. Unlike what I thought, it has never been messy for me and actually much easier to eat. This is now my go to place for whenever I crave sweet and especially crepes, but don't want to carry around the guilt of indulging too much afterward. This store is run by a very kind and friendly man who handmakes each crepe right in front of you. Each crepe is filled with delicious toppings and love. Located within Jusgo Market, this place is the hidden gem I've searched for since returning from Japan! The owner is the sweetest and you can tell he memorizes his customers to give such a genuine experience. When we visited it was initially because we saw the Japanese food display and we're instantly reminded of our visit to Angel Crepes + Crazy 4 U in Japan -- and he knew our reference! Paul is the GOAT. He'll remember your face after one visit. Every time my friend comes up to Dallas, we always give this place a visit after dining at the Legacy Food Court. Our go to order has always been the "Romeo" with an occasional scoop of sea salt caramel ice cream. Paul is probably the kindest business owner I've ever met. He knows how to strike up friendly conversations and joke around with his customers. He always checks up on our well-being and asks "how are you doing." I think it's very respectable how he doesn't just treat us as typical "customers" but as "friends," and he always seems genuinely interested in our individual lives. Not only is Paul super sweet, but he makes the best crepes! Each crepe is handcrafted to perfection in front of you starting from the batter to the filling. The crepes are always perfectly crispy and sweet, and go so harmoniously well with the fresh strawberries, cream, chocolate sauce, and the caramel ice cream. The funnest little creperie in Dallas. Mr. Paul is a hoot and definitely has his crepe making craft down! Stopped in here after hearing so many great things - which I came to find out are all true! He runs this shop single handedly and does a great job of conversing while creating. The crepes have just enough crispiness to sponginess, although he did ask my preference in texture before he made the crepe. There is a list of options on the wall as soon as you walk in and you also have the option to add a scoop of ice cream to the inside of each crepe, each one handheld. It's regular ice cream, probably from the grocery store his shop is inside of. But remember, he is a crepe maker, not an ice cream maker. We selected the romeo, which is filled with a nutella like sauce, sliced strawberries, whipped cream and our addition of chocolate ice cream all bundled up within a fresh, warm crepe!
