I finally called Olympus, and I was so thankful I did. The team was understanding, reasonably priced, and didn't make me feel like they were trying to take advantage of the situation. When the crew showed up, they were all very nice and got everything set up quickly. Pickup was also easy and smooth. I posted a picture so you can see what the clear tent looked like at night. We just removed a few bulbs so it wouldn't be too bright, and it ended up looking really nice. After calling a lot of places, I definitely recommend checking them out. These machines were reserved for me. A day before, I asked to cancel my helium tank and he called immediately to tell me that he "loses money" on these cancellations. So he promptly informed me that he'll be cancelling my order citing "unavailable machines". This is the day before my event. Very unprofessional to be cancelling a deal last minute like this. If the machines were really unavailable, then why wait to inform me AFTER I requested to cancel? A professional would've let me know way earlier. Either way, I ended up booking with Manny for the same price but for only 2 machines. I'd rather pay extra for someone who cares about professional relationships. Panda restaurant group will not be booking with vip ever again.

Steve was super tentative to what I needed. He responded to my messages promptly and was patient and kind enough to answer all of my annoying questions. The tables and chairs that I rented was delivered to us the night before my son's 1st birthday party (as promised). I ordered white tablecloths and chair covers and they were neatly washed and in clean condition. For the return of the items, all we had to do was place them all in one area for pick up the following day. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish and that is definitely a weight off your shoulders when you have to worry about a million other things when planning a party. Two days prior to my event, another rental…read morecompany sent me a reminder about my event (like a "do you want to confirm your booking?") which reminded me that I had not heard from Imperial, where I had a signed agreement and paid a deposit. When I asked Imperial about a delivery ETA, I wasn't on the schedule because I hadn't paid my balance -- which, OK, I had missed or forgotten that the balance was due prior to the event... but you're not going to send a request for the balance before taking me off the delivery list? So I took care of the balance, and got a delivery window. Items were scheduled for delivery the day prior to my event. After my balance was paid, I got a phone call that the umbrellas I ordered were not available in the color I requested (off-white). I was given the option of switching color or switching to a bigger size. I have limited space, so bigger size wasn't ideal. I asked about knocking it down from 3 to 2 umbrellas, so I wouldn't be overwhelmed with tan canvas, but they would not do that. When the delivery arrived, one of the tables was the wrong height -- cocktail height, which I didn't have seating for. They had to leave and returned at the end of the day to fix it. Incidentally, when I declined to sign the receipt because I didn't have my order in full, the guy kind of made a snide remark. Eventually they returned with the right table stand. One of the 28 chairs I rented was broken. The "fuchsia" table cloth is closer to pink. The tan umbrellas were fine. It all turned out fine -- I just feel like I had to work for it.
