I don't often write reviews however my experience at this establishment was a bad one today. I typically sit at a table and receive service which in the past has always been great. However today I decided to just go to the bar and eat because I was by myself. The drinks and food were great like always however a bartender named Tay was helping me at first with getting my drink and my order and she had a bad attitude and maybe she had a bad day I'm not sure but it's no way to treat a customer. After my drink was gone I felt as if I could never find her and she would just disappear to other areas in the restaurant. She soon came back and gave me another drink and then once again she was distracted by talking to other coworkers at the other end of the bar instead of paying attention to the costumers. It's one thing if the bar is busy and it takes a while to get service but it was slow and she just looked like she was goofing off most of the time. I also noticed while she was in the kitchen that she was snacking on food which made me uncomfortable because she was handling my food and my drinks. I typically enjoy my time at Crickets but this bartender is making me want to take my business to other restaurants. read more

I am in town for a customer meeting. He told me about Crickets and their wall of taps. I was not disappointed. The helpful bartender let me sample some beers he thought I'd like, and found one (a brown ale) that I did enjoy. I had that plus the chicken fried steak. Delicious. Most of the time I give good reviews, however this review does not follow that pattern. I went to cricket's for the annual baseball coaches clinic. The staff works hard and is respectful. The management, not so much. This year they decided to charge me $32 for a single pitcher of st Arnold's beer. The bartenders and bouncers were in shock when I told them of my bill. The bar is fun and the workers are cool but the management may decide to charge you $32 for a pitcher of beer. read more

I came in with a group of Waco local's that i met a few years ago. When we first came in, we were served drinks promptly. Service was on point, and the bartenders seemed attentive towards customers. However, after about an hour i went up to the bar to get a coke (as i was the DD). Now, all of the bartenders seemed to ignore me, and none would make eye contact with me. Even after asking several bartenders for water, they refused to serve me even after serving all of those around me. At this time, I was informed that a bartender/manager, (who's name i later found out was "Teya") requested that my friends and i were removed from the bar because of our "disrespectful" behavior. A few minutes prior to this though, that same employee flipped off one of my friends, while she was standing behind the bar, wearing her employers attire. The manager on staff proceeded to kick us out, without giving any reasonable explanation as to why. Based off of the complete lack of disrespect and professionalism to paying customers, i would be lying if i said i had a good experience at this bar. Failing to serve drinks to customers due to personal conflicts is never acceptable, and should not be allowed in the work place. Although this employee showed a great amount of immaturity and selfishness I feel that this does not represent crickets as a whole, but rather poor management at this particular location. read more

Heard many great things about it and my expectations were not met. I have been here two times too many. The bartender was all the time on his IPad, I found that very rude and careless. We got a table and had dinner. The food was ok nothing special. The service was very slow, I had to look for someone to be able to get my bill. Here for Baylor orientation & wanted something close to our hotel. The burgers were amazing - just the right crisp on the bun and burgers (the chili cheese burger was delicious). The cheeseburger was very yummy. The meat is angus so it is of good quality. The fries were some if the best I have ever had. The only reason I give this place 4 stars and not 5 is because of the small menu. I suggest they need to add soups to the menu for sure. They have burgers/sandwiches. Stopped in for a bite to eat while visiting Waco's Silos Baking Company & Magnolia Market. Food was tasty, but most impressed with the service we received from bartender Adam. Absolutely awful - service was SOOOOO SLOW. Cleanliness an absolute ZERO. Bathrooms were disgusting, table was dirty, bugs flying around us while we tried to enjoy our lunch. Food was cold when it arrived at our table, and it was not very busy at all. Menu was mediocre. Do not recommend this restaurant at all. Very disappointing way to end a fun day in Waco. Opt to use the 7-11 bathrooms down the street if you need to! read more

Yeah, don't go here. Cowboys game on tv and they have the jukebox playing. Staff is more interested in socializing with each other than dealing with customers. There's a reason its dead. Food isn't great but it's across the street from hotel so sticking it out. read more

Stopped in for dinner at the bar. This was my first time visiting Cricket's and I'm am a little disappointed. I wasn't sure what to get so I looked around to see what other people were eating. One of the bartenders walked by holding a salad with a good sized steak on it. It looked good so I decided to give it a shot. When my steak salad showed up it was not the same as the one I previously saw. Mine was a bunch of cut pieces of steak thrown onto a salad. When I added up the pieces they equaled about half the steak I saw earlier. The good news; it was absolutely delicious. I would have given five stars if I was given ONE whole steak. read more

Me and my family came here for lunch around 1pm, waited for about 20 mins for a seat. We then waited an hour for our APPETIZER to get there and after about an additional 15 mins we decided to just leave cuz it was taking so long. This was my college bar! I had never seen so many beers on tap. I minored in the shuffleboard tables.

We only had a pint, no food. They should have had a great selection on tap but were out of half the beers. The bar was sticky and smelled like stale beer. I do not mind that in a dive bar with some character but this place had none. The bartenders sucked at pouring, our beers had almost 2inches of head. I had a fruit fly in a pint when the bartender gave it to me. I told her and she just replied, "Oh." Maybe the food is good just not impressed with the bar. read more

Quite a good bar with lots of beers on tap. Menu was a little lacking for variety but it was the typical bar style food. Nothing fancy. Place has lots of pool tables and darts to keep you and your friends entertained while you drink. Had some live entertainment in a band playing. Cricket's is great. If you are in to playing pool or shuffleboard or ping-pong, this is your place. (Although the pool tables and pool stick quality isn't out of this world) On Tuesday nights it free games, so be sure to get there early if you want a table.
