Staff obviously make up the prices at the register and shamelessly price gouge. If you parked in the parking lot, the employees will yell at you as you walk to your car, if they decided your presence isn't worth the money they just stole from you. The food items are dusty and the store is need of a good cleaning and organizing. Disgraceful and gross on all the levels. read more

WOW!!! I went into their store yesterday with a 'younger' female friend of mine just before sunset. She is a cute black girl with a couple dreads and some piercings. Very bright and friendly gal. When we approached the counter we started talking with the 3 employees standing behind the register. One of them looked her in the eye and said/asked her if she was 'Working'!! (FYI, They don't know her and she doesn't know them) They were clearly assuming that she was a hooker and I was paying her to be with me! And then they proceeded to hand her a banana and a lollipop. The guy aimed toward her mouth when giving her the banana!! We left and sat in the car asking each other if that really just happened.? We were shocked by their rude comment and unprofessional actions! We will NEVER EVER give business to these jerks again!!! read more

This place is known to over charge for liquor. Today was the 2nd time I've gone in and they've added at least $5-10 to the real cost and think I wouldn't notice. I purchased a bottle of wine here this evening, found it to be spoiled and 15 minutes later tried to return it. It was an expensive fancy bottle so I would expect some attention. Instead with an extremely rude waving of the hands they said it's my problem and that they are not responsible for what they sell in that because I open the bottle they couldn't take it back. I went down the street to Ralph's and bought the same bottle for about five dollars less and asked about the return policy should I find it spoiled. Ralph's Policy was to accept the bottle as long as it was still full and return it to the distributor. I really do prefer to shop local and don't mind paying a little more to support local businesses. But the rudeness and total disregard for having sold me a damaged product makes me not want to support this business. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

This place is awesome. Of course it's overpriced it's a corner liquor store but there's about 3 regular guys who always are friendly and happy to help you out. They have a pretty big selection for the size of the store too. It's in a prime location for all of us who live around there and may have already had too many to get all the way to Ralphs (ps. Who wants to wait in the stupid lines at Ralphs anyway?) Open pretty late. $10 minium on credit card purchases, so bring cash if you're only buying a "forty". read more

If you are a woman, do not go here. My friend and I came here the other night and were harassed by both the employees. One even waited outside for us to leave and followed us to our car. I have lived in Pacific Beach for 5 1/2 years (Felspar to Emerald) and have been a regular at Criscola's the entire time. The store is always kept clean and the guys who work there become your buddies. (Especially when you're running low on chilled Jägermeister ; D I wish they would stock all of the available New Belgium Brewing Company's Beers however. Being a Fort Collins, CO transplant, I have been known to spread the good word about the many delicious brews. Keep up the good business! read more

Guy at the counter was a real jerk when I went recently. Me and my friend wanted to go to cheeba hut right across the street but finding close parking in PB is akin to winning the lottery, in other words it's usually impossible. I saw that the liquor store had all the 6 or 7 parking spots free except one. The sign said parking for customers only. I asked the guy that if we bought some items if he would let us use the spot and pop in cheeba hut to order and grab our food to go which would've taken no more than 7 minutes. He acted nice and said sure, but after we bought a bunch of items that we didn't really want just so we could get the spot he told us we had to leave or he would tow us. That's not cool, and I won't be coming here anymore. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy sh***y customer service. read more
