On vacation in the area and stopped for lunch. Wow, were we happy we did. Stay away if you are dieting. I had the cornbread jalapeño waffle with fried chicken and rosemary cream gravy. It was the best meal I have had on this vacation. Waitstaff was friendly and did't Rush us. Lazy lunch followed by a few rounds of pool. It turned out to be a wonderful afternoon! read more

Crossroads is a great bar with great food and great people. I recommend it highly. Great pizzas. Shannon H. posted a review 8 hours ago with a rant about not supporting BLM and that Crossroads is a horrible place. I want everyone to know that I am the guy she started a disturbance with, and this is extremely rare to run into at Crossroads. I was here having a delightful evening with a bunch of fellow locals and we all know each other. She told me she hates black lives matter (or something close to that, I do not claim to be quoting her exactly) and foolishly I took the bait and asked her why. From there she became extremely agitated and loud. She didn't want to talk, she wanted to fight. I eventually told her that I did not want to talk to her anymore and please leave me alone. She refused to leave me alone and stated loudly she did not like black lives matter and offended several patrons who are minority members or possibly employees, I'm not sure. At this point, I asked her to please ignore me, "turn around and ignore me", I told her several times. She would not turn around and ignore me or drop it or stop arguing loudly. At this point the cook is out on the floor trying to calm her down and a crowd is gathering. Somehow in the middle of all this I became a racist which she repeatedly accused me of being. This is someone I've never seen before in my life. She was eventually asked to leave. It was chaos. Crossroads is a great local bar and restaurant. I encourage you all to ignore anything from Shannon H. This is my opinion, she is a lunatic. Shannon, always remember to take the pretty blue pill every day. It's important. read more

The food is great if you want to wait a very long time. We had to ask for silverware after waiting 30 minutes for cheese fries. They were soggy fries covered in cheese sauce. Then we sat for 30 more minutes for 2 burgers, a BLT, and a bowl of mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was the reason my husband liked to go there. It was so awful that we sent it back and asked for it to be removed from the bill. I make my own all the time and this was a bowl of noodles and melted velveeta. It was slimy and gross. There was a line forming at the door and plenty of empty tables. A family of 6 had to seat themselves after waiting so long. The restaurant was not full nor was the bar. People working were not paying attention. It appears that the take out orders took precedent to everyone sitting inside. And on our way out we saw the sign for the specials. I loved the atmosphere. The bikers in the corner dropping Fbombs legitimized the ambiance. No, didn't enjoy that since we had kids with us. When the music came on, we couldn't hear them. They were drinking 'Merica, I mean Budweiser's America. Go figure! Not the fault of the restaurant, but they should have said something. But for real, the atmosphere/decorations/music were great. Bathrooms clean! Great hand tossed pizza (no hair net or hat on the dude making, but he looked pretty clean! Great homemade dressings,which always impresses me. I recommend the pot roast sliders. I hate to say this but, horrible. The food used to be good. There have been many changes to this place in the last year or so. After 2 visits with subpar food we decided to wait for a while to go back to allow them to regroup. However, it's actually worse. We ordered take out. After going directly to their own website i was excited to see a better menu with some delicious sounding, healthier options. Once we decided, we called to place our order only to find out one of the items we wanted to order was no longer offered. Apparently they updated their menu on Facebook but didn't bother updating their own website. Go figure! We live 10 minutes from cross roads. We got the food home and the fries were rock solid. Now we know that fries don't travel well, but they don't turn into bricks in 10 minutes either. It was clear that we were given very old, over cooked fries. My, split second decision, turkey sandwich was blah to say the least. I asked for avacado and bacon, neither were on there. Just bread and 2 slices of lunch meat turkey and cheese. My husband's burger was dry, bland and cold. The wings he ordered were the only thing that was temperature hot. However, they were literally flavorless. I hate to write a review like this. We are part of this community and want to see the businesses here thrive. We have just given them too many chances with disappointing results. We don't go out to eat very often and are disappointed that we threw away our money on this place. read more

This is the second time we've been here. We first were here in August 2011; and we remembered the place as we were driving through the mountains on our way back to the Springs today. Wifey remembered the place had a great BLT with the bacon piled high on Texas toast. Great atmosphere, and family friendly for dinner. This time, we weren't disappointed. Food is made fresh to order, so it takes a little longer. The BLT bacon was crisp; the pizza was delicious; and the burger and fries were on point. Stopped in with the wife and kids (4,1) and had a pretty nice time. It's not exactly a family spot, but they were very accommodating. They have a patio open for smoking that lingers a smoking smell in the back area of the restaurant. Kids pizza was very well received and the chicken and waffles was tasty. While it is a good location for people driving up from the denver metro area during the summer the only reason to go is the lack of options. The food is sub par and over priced. Service is spotty at best and I have had consistant problems waiting for extended periods of time to get something to drink or order food. read more

NEVER EAT HERE!!!! This "establishment" served me a RAW burger, my receipt clearly shows I ordered Medium Well. I sent it back and my "server" Charlie charged me for it anyway. The manager "Brea" was even worse when talking to her. Sat here for over an hour waiting for food. Food came out cold. The cheese on our nachos was so cold that it was hardened and was not even melted anymore. I've eaten here on several occasions and am disappointed in how downhill this restaurant has gone. Will definitely not be coming back. read more

On a Saturday well after lunch.... Came with a party of 6 and was first asked to be seated at two different tables. We are hungry so we sit down. Ten minutes pass and we see the servers and hostess scratching theirs heads and walking back and forth between us and another section. The hostess asks us to move so the can seat a larger party in our section.... Getting annoyed. We move to some tables scrunched together in the corner and waited another 10 minutes until a different server came over with our drinks. 20 minutes for 4 waters, a beer and a shot. Food took 45 min to get out after ordering and was NOTHING to talk about... We also saw a table get seated.... And then again reseated. They looked annoyed too. There isn't much more annoying then receiving your appetizer one minute before your meal comes to the table and that is what happened to us at Crossroads. To make matters worse, the nachos that we received looked as though they had been reheated from an earlier patron. We stopped here today after building up an appetite while hiking. On Sundays they have $1 PBRs from 3 to 6! The bar and restaurant was hopping with all ages, families, bikers, and folks just there for the come as you are atmosphere! We tried the sandwich with au jus, beef and peppers (sorry can't remember the name) - it was delicious and filling! The crinkle cut fries it came with were scrumptious. No Stars if I could! I have never felt so unwanted and unsafe in a Restaurant in my life. I know there is a lot of craziness going on in the world but that is no excuse for not caring for the health and safety of ALL customers. To start off I did not feel welcome and felt discriminated against by the employee's here. I had to keep reminding my server to bring me my drink from the bar as I kept seeing everyone else who came in after me get theirs. Although I can't be certain I felt as if this was do to me being a person of color and not White. I had to ask about 5 times before I finally got my drink which was subpar. Secondly right out in the open for everyone to see the Bartender was not wearing a mask and handling drink cups and was visibly coughing and rubbing their nose. With everything going on this does not fly with me... For an establishment to allow that obviously does not care for the safety of their customers. Who knows how many cups they touched and gave out to others. After seeing that I could not even finish my drink. Thirdly after seeing all the positive reviews on this place I was disappointed to find out what piss poor pizza they have. It may have been good if it was hot but I got my pizza cold and hard and not favorable at all. Again I had to keep asking my server on the order while others who ordered after got theirs. I don't know what kind of management this place has but I hope they change their ways. I do not recommend this place unless you are in absolute need of something to eat. But you are still better off eating Fast Food instead of this Cardboard Pizza. read more

I used to like coming here. They used to have good wings untill this last time I went . It took forever before our waitress even stoped by. Which normally I understand but this was along amount of time before she even asked what we'd like to drink. Then I order garlic wings not the first time I've had them. They come to the table I take the first but and all I could taste was a fishy flavor I almost gaged it was so bad. My friends wings were the same way even had hot sauce on them. We sent them back switching out for something else. The pretzels sticks aren't bad just expensive but the BBQ burger literally made my friend puke in the parking lot. And to top it off once we went to pay we have her the card 20 minutes go by and she come back with a different fucking card?!!!!!!! And she just throws it on the table and quickly leaves before we could even say anything. I am a local person has lived here for all my life that liked to go there and have lunch and a beer, after the new owner took over they changed the menu the things that i liked the most are gone, pizza is not real good and greasy, toppings at a min and prices are to high don't think i will try a burger as the people that orderd one said it was not what they expected and extra charge for frys, also noticed sheriff officers are in the area more because of some problems that have happend i went in for a beer and a beer that cost 2.75 is now 4.25, service is slow and not very friendly, since then i am going to another pub and grill in the area where the food is good and can get what i want at a reasonable price including the beer, read more

Well.. This place should be called Roadhouse not Crossroads. I came in for a few beers, music was good. Everyone was wasted, including the bartenders so getting a beer was impossible. Also there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge. Two fights! I feel like I'm in Texas not Colorado! Also it's pretty dirty. I asked "can you please explain why my dinner still isn't here and the rest of my family is almost finished eating their food?..." The Owner, Eric, was at the window and immediately became defensive and couldn't offer an explanation. He told to me to treat him with some respect and step away from the window- no apologies or attempt to assure the customer that it will be remedied.. I walked away. The waitress (nice as pie) came to our table apologetically. I told her to tell the kitchen, "tell them never mind. I dont want it anymore". Eric then brings the steak to the table. I said "no thank you, I don't want it now. My family is nearly done with their meals." He proceeded to do the most unbelievable thing I have ever wintnessed in a restaurant! He said "fine, If you don't want it, I'm going to charge you for it and take everyone else's food." HE REACHED OUT AND STARTED REMOVING THE PLATES AND PIZZA TRAY OFF OF THE TABLE! Dumfounded ...needless to say, we all told him how we felt. He tells us to leave the restaurant and never come back. Permanently banned. Ha! Thanks, dude. Don't think you'd ever get another dime from me anyway. As he's shuffling us out, I turn around and say "can I at least tip the waitress?!" He said "no-leave-don't come back". I said "what is wrong with you?!" He said I obviously have some screws loose. WOW. I gave this place a chance after all of the negative reviews since the change of ownership last tear. We stopped here tonight for the first time after a couple of years of driving by. We had 2 burgers and a couple of drinks. Food, drinks, and atmosphere not too bad. We will come back. But the service....we waited well over 10 minutes for a server, and so did several other tables (and yes I actually time waited and watch other tables bc I am that person). While the server was friendly enough, she offered the absolute bare minimum of taking our order, delivering food, and cashing us out. There was no greeting, asking us if we had wuestions, suggestions, or even offering water. The servers did have plenty of time to stand around and talk to each other though, which is annoying when customers are waiting. Like I said, we will be back, and I get small are slim pickins for workers (we live in Hartsel...yuck). But Hussle can happen no matter where you are. The servers need to recognize that yes you have locals that will sit at the bar drinking all night, but everyone else in the place still need service too. read more

We have never had a bad meal here. We live down the street and its our go-to because its close and we have little kids so the atmosphere is good (on the louder side). The burgers are awesome, the pot roast sliders and pot roast sandwich are very good. Love the fries as well. I just wish they had a little more for choices on apps, but hey sometimes more food isn't a good thing. The service is getting better, there is one man there ( think he is a manager) he is fantastic, otherwise if its some of the older woman its very slow and more like you are bothering them. read more

This restaurant is great! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing as everything else was closed. I didn't feel rushed at all and felt very welcomed. Went in today for lunch. I'm a mountain local and have been in on occasion. I had their New Mexico burger and was very satisfied. Cooked to perfection. The downside was the overall cleanliness and our waitress. The menus are kept at the table and were so nasty dirty that I had to ask for one that was clean and the one the waitress brought was almost as bad. Both were disgustingly dirty ! The waitress was overbearing and was so loud it was startling ! I was in Crossroads last week and had a clean menu and waitress that used a normal tone and volume so I'm assuming it's a dice roll on day to day service and cleanliness. The bathroom sinks amounted to literally metal buckets sitting on top of a counter with a drain. No paper towels or anyway to dry my hands. One urinal was covered with a plastic bag. Giving Crossroads two stars is really more than what is deserved but my burger was good. I just hope whoever cooked it had a clean place to wash their hands ! read more

Love this place. Have a cabin nearby so spend summers in and out during the good weather. We always eat here a couple of times. LOVE their pizza, and it's huge. 2 of us get 3 meals out of it...yes, breakfast too! Other family members love the wings. We have had a salad with our pizza to go and it's always been fresh and good. A little pricey, but when you can get several meals it's worth it. Sit out on the patio in the summer. EAT & DRINK HERE! read more

The pizza is really good! Love the floppy crust. The sauce is sweet and not over-powering. And they really pile on the cheese!

After trying to decide where to eat on the way home from Buena Vista we settled on this place. Great move on our part. It was a pleasant surprise. We had the cheese fries and the Hot Hub Cap pizza. This place was a suprise. We were just looking for a casual spot to have lunch and wondered off the road into this pub. The food is made from scratch and it shows! The steak was cooked perfectly (something I find becoming more rare these days...pardon the pun!).
